Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life

Chapter 850

Mr. Atticus was fuming, face all twisted up with anger. He'd never been so embarrassed. Not winning the championship was one thing, but coming in third? That was a whole new level of humiliation! Just the thought of it was enough to make folks laugh out loud. He regretted letting Felene go. If she had represented the medical organization, her scores could have easily landed them in second place! The U.S. team, though, was on cloud nine. They were usually the eternal second-place team, but this time around, things were different. They had outperformed the medical organization! How's that for showing off? Try keeping that up now, will ya? Oh wait, you can't!

"Next up, we'd like the Austenberg medical team, the team from the United States, and the medical organization to come up and receive their awards!" the host announced, and the crowd erupted into thunderous applause.

Mr. Tanner pulled a flag from his backpack, one he'd brought just for this moment, and draped it over Flora. "Flora, get up there and accept the award for us!" he urged.

"Yes, Flora, you go!" the rest of the team chimed in, nodding in agreement. Only Flora had earned the right to be up there!

Without Flora, they wouldn't have snagged first place at all!

"But both the medical organization and the U.S. team are sending up their coaches. Isn't it weird for a contestant to go up?" Joy grumbled, green with envy. She wished she'd ruined Flora's hand completely!

"If Flora isn't right for it, do you think you are?" Mr. Tanner snapped, having had enough of Joy's antics. This trip to Lone Island had shown him her true colors, and he planned to boot her from the national medical department once they got back! "Flora, just go! The host is calling for you! Hurry up!" Mr. Tanner and Felene got her to her feet and practically pushed her onto the stage.

As Flora made her way to the podium, the cheers and applause grew louder, nearly shaking the place!

Kruiz and the judging panel personally handed out the awards.

"Congratulations, Flora," Kruiz said warmly, standing in front of her with a proud smile.

Medicine needs leaders to push boundaries and make progress, and Flora was just that leader. With her at the helm, the future looked bright for the field of medicine. Passing the torch, generation after generation.

"Thank you," Flora replied with a nod.

"Mind sharing your contact info?"

Kruiz

Wasked with a wink. "You

us old folks, would you?"

His mic made sure everyone heard him loud and clear, and the audience couldn't help but chuckle at his humble tone.

"Who'd dare snub them?" they thought.

Flora wasn't too keen on sharing her contact info, but the rest of them sure were!

Yet, he wasn't offering it to them!

Even Flora couldn't help but blink at Kruiz's playful demeanor. How could someone his age still act so cute?

"Flora, do leave your contact. It'll be fun, won't it? When you've got some free time, reach out. You could even visit the medical base to teach. It'd be a blast," Kruiz continued, almost pleading.

All of this, thanks to Flora!
