Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life

Chapter 813

"Dad!"

Adrian's face lit up as he quickly stepped up to the bedside.

"Cough, cough..." Karter had just woken up, still a bit out of it. "Why is everyone here...?"

"You just fainted from coughing up blood. Thank goodness for Ms. Abbey, or who knows what might have happened!" A chorus of relatives chimed in, even mentioning how Adrian almost got him killed by insisting Flora treat him!

"You really need to rein Adrian in, bringing all sorts of bad influences around, nearly getting you hurt. If it weren't for Ms. Abbey being here by chance..."

"Alright, enough," Karter interrupted, his head pounding from their chatter. "Ms. Abbey, thank you for saving me. I owe you a huge debt, and one day, the Reyes family will repay you generously."

"My head's killing me, so if you could all leave for now. Ryan, you stay."

"Yes," Ryan replied.

The room cleared out.

"Did you see that girl, Flora?" Karter asked once everyone had left.

The group had been putting Flora down, but Karter hadn't paid them any mind, finding them annoying instead.

"I did," Ryan responded excitedly. "Sir, Miss Flora really does look a lot like Alan!"Content is property of NôvelDrama.Org.

Outside, Abbey was talking with the Reyes family staff about continuing Karter's treatment. She was confident she could do an even better job than Flora!

Little did Abbey know, danger was just around the corner.

Meanwhile, Connor and the others arrived at the Falcone residence.

Amanda had been waiting, peeking out from the upstairs window. When she finally saw Connor's car pull up, she rushed downstairs. But, not wanting to seem too eager, she settled onto the living room couch, picked up a book, and pretended to read. The butler couldn't help but chuckle at her antics. She was always so concerned with appearances.

Two minutes later, the front door swung open, greeted by the staff's warm welcomes.

"Mr. Connor, Mr. Kruz, Miss Flora."

Amanda couldn't help but glance over.

Connor and Flora walked in side by side, Flora's left hand tucked into Connor's coat pocket. They were leaning dose, whispering to other, with Connor's eyes still sparkling with a smile-a stark contrast to his usual brooding self.

"You're here!" Amanda greeted them warmly.

"Aunt," Flora called out.

"Come on in, have a seat," Amanda said, genuinely pleased as she led Flora to sit down.

Ethan, hearing the noise, hurried downstairs. He seemed a bit awkward seeing Flora on the couch, but he still approached and said, "Hey, bro. Flora."

"What? You're calling her Flora now?" Kruz looked at Ethan like he'd discovered something new. "Didn't you say you'd never call her Flora in a million years?" Ethan: "..."

Mind your own business, you big dummy!

"I'll call her whatever I want, alright?" she shot back, annoyed.

Kruz gave a knowing grin. "Ah, the sweet scent of change, I know it well."

"Aunt, this is for you, just a little something," Flora said, handing Amanda a sachet from her bag.

"I made this perfume myself. I

noticed you might have trouble sleeping. If you wear it, it'll help you sleep better, and it even keeps your skin looking youthful and radiant."

Amanda took the sachet, feeling touched by the thoughtful gesture. With three kids-Connor was
