Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life

Chapter 407

Gregory had it out for her, and with her shaky footing, a lot of companies saw her as just a young girl and weren't willing to sponsor her. She was out the door at the crack of dawn and back late every night, and Ray was practically worried sick. When Flora found out, she felt really bad for Aisha. Being an orphan was no walk in the park. This text is © NôvelDrama/.Org.

She turned to Connor and said, "Aisha's having a tough time. Should we give her a hand?"

Connor nodded. "Sure."

After logging off WhatsApp, Flora picked up the phone and called Crimson. Meanwhile, Connor got Moss on the line and murmured a few instructions.

...

Over at Gale Corporation, in Gregory's office.

"It's been almost two weeks, and I hear Aisha's only managed to pull in less than a hundred million in sponsorships. What good is a solid plan without the cash? It's all pointless," Gregory sneered. "Exactly. Those old-timers threw everything they had at Aisha, and she still couldn't scrape together the startup funds," one of the shareholders chuckled.

The "old-timers" they mentioned were the veteran shareholders who had always backed Aisha's father and were now siding with Flora.

Gregory took a sip from his tea, a hint of disdain and mockery flickering in his eyes. Aisha was way too naive. The startup capital for the simulation robot project was at least ten billion. How could a young woman like her come up with that kind of money? Without the capital, the project would never take off. And when that happened, he'd be ready to swoop in.

*Ding Ding Ding-*

Just then, the office phone buzzed, and the secretary's voice came through: "Mr. Gregory, there's a call for you. The caller says they're from Club 257..."

"What did you say?" Gregory was taken aback. "Are you sure it's Club 257? Did you verify their identity?"

"It's verified. No doubt, Mr. Gregory. Should I connect the call?"

Gregory thought for a moment. "Put them through."

Someone from Club 257 calling him was unbelievable. But who would dare impersonate a member of Club 257? His curiosity piqued, Gregory let the secretary connect the call.

"Is this Mr. Gregory?" A cool voice came from the other end.

"Yes, speaking. May I know who's calling?"

"My last name is Lin. I'm a member of Club 257. We heard you're working on a simulation robot project. Is that right?"

"That's correct," Gregory replied.

"Our president is very interested in your proposal. When would you be available? I'd like to visit Gale Corporation, and if everything checks out, Club 257 might invest a significant amount of money." Gregory's heart skipped a beat. Was Gale Corporation's reputation really that big now? Even Club 257 was taking notice?

"I'm free all day tomorrow," Gregory said, barely containing his excitement. "You can come by anytime. I'll be here, waiting for you!"

"Great. Tomorrow morning at ten, see you at the Gale Corporation building."

Gregory stared at the phone, still in a bit of a daze.

"Mr. Gregory, was that really someone from Club 257? Are they going to invest in our project?" one of the shareholders asked, having caught bits and pieces of the conversation. Club 257... They wouldn't even dare dream of it!

Gregory, trying to keep his cool, nodded. "They said they'd come by to take a look first, not necessarily invest."

"Club 257 doesn't just show up for nothing. If they're coming, there's a good chance they'll invest. Mr. Gregory, you're amazing, getting someone from Club 257 on board!"
