Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life

Chapter 394

The host finished speaking, and the announcer's voice chimed in: "Next up, please welcome the dance performance by the third-year Medical Department class."

"Didn't you all just do a group dance? Find someone who's good at it to go on stage," the host said, clearly anxious.

Good or not, they couldn't leave the stage empty.

Eilies was in a panic. The background music had to be preloaded onto the computer, and finding someone at the last minute to perform with the original music was impossible. No one else knew the dance Cynthia was supposed to do.

They couldn't possibly go without music... That would be beyond awkward.

No one was stepping up, and the crowd was starting to murmur. The faculty members exchanged puzzled looks, not sure what was going on.

"I'll go on stage. You go find the sound engineer and tell him to cut the music," Flora said decisively, heading towards the entrance.

By the time Eilies realized what was happening, Flora was already on stage. She didn't have time to think and quickly did as Flora asked, telling the sound engineer to turn off the music.

"What's happening? Why is Flora up there?" Cynthia whispered, peeking from behind the curtain with wide eyes. Eilies came over, and she grabbed her, demanding an explanation.

"The performance was already announced, so there was no time to cancel. Flora stepped up to fill in," Eilies explained. This content belongs to Nô/velDra/ma.Org .

"She might as well have sent you instead!" Cynthia exclaimed. Flora's dancing was pretty average-nothing spectacular, she just didn't make mistakes. In a group dance, she could blend in, but a solo performance...

Cynthia couldn't even imagine what it would look like. She silently prayed it wouldn't be a disaster. Even if it was, she'd still cheer for Flora. After all, Flora was stepping up for her!

The audience buzzed with excitement as Flora stood tall on stage. Flora's reputation at the University of Maple Grove was infamous, rivaling even Rafael's.

Naturally, Flora's reputation wasn't exactly stellar. Top of her class nationally, but also a notorious troublemaker who'd send people to the hospital over the slightest disagreement. Crossing her never ended well.

This infamous figure was about to dance for them? The crowd was a mix of horrified and intrigued, with a touch of schadenfreude.

Rafael propped his chin on his hand, watching with interest. This evening was turning out to be quite the spectacle-Flora, dancing!

Mr. Richard and the other teachers watched curiously, eager to see what Flora would do.

"What's going on? Why is Flora on stage?" The teacher in charge of the evening's events saw Flora and her smile froze. She quickly went backstage to get the scoop.

The host quickly explained: "Cynthia, who was supposed to perform, got injured during the group dance and couldn't go on. They asked to cut the performance, but it was too late, the announcement had already been made. So, Flora stepped in..."

"Flora isn't stupid; she wouldn't go on stage if she wasn't confident. Plus, the mood lifted as soon as she stepped up," the stage manager noted.

The stage manager hoped Flora would do well and not embarrass herself too much.

On stage, Flora slowly crouched down. She closed her eyes, and all the surrounding noise and chatter instantly vanished. When she opened her eyes again, the audience could clearly feel a shift in her presence.
