Chapter 182 Physical Examination
Chapter 182 Physical Examination
Clara and Horace went back to the family house for the night. Left the Kirkland's House early the next
morning.
Before leaving, Russell specifically told them to take those supplements and also said once they are
finished with those they could go and pick them up, once a month if they don't want to pick them up, he
will send them to the House of Horace.
For the first time, Clara felt the pressure of having a baby.
When she got home, the maid already prepared the supplements for Clara.
Clara said to Horace, "You really do listen to Grandpa and give me the supplement right away. Do I
really need it?"
"It never hurts to drink what I tell you to drink," Horace said, looking like his old self again.
Clara missed the Horace at the amusement park that night, so cute and not overbearing or fierce at all.
It's only been one night, and he's already showing his true colors.
After a while, the maid brought a bowl of supplements, letting Clara drink while it was still hot.
Clara pouted and stared unhappily at the steaming bowl. She grew up hating taking medicine, including
supplements, always felt that it was also some kind of drug, and tasted so bad.
"Drink it!" Horace urged.
Clara felt like an old sow waiting to give birth, and Horace was the farmer and the butcher.
Clara reluctantly picked up the bowl and put it down again.
Horace looked at her doubtfully.
"It must taste really bad." Clara pouted.
Horace's mouth twitched when he caught a rare glimpse of a childlike Clara.
But the supplements were so valuable that Horace didn't want to waste them, so he took the spoon and
brought it to Clara's mouth. "I'll feed you."
Clara's eyes widened, did not expect to have this treatment, had to obediently open her mouth, and
had a mouthful.
It actually tasted kind of good, it was sweet.
"Is it good?" Horace asked.
"It's fine," Clara said deliberately.
Horace fed her spoonful after spoonful, and Clara enjoyed herself.
Horace nod reassuringly as Clara finishes her supplement.
Horace told the maid to go home. They can do it themselves. He told her to come back first thing in the
morning.
So the maid went home.
Clara looked at Horace strangely.
Whenever Horace let the maid go, nothing good would come of it. Is he going to do it again...?
Sure enough, Horace got up from his wheelchair and immediately picked her up.
Clara was right. She was so embarrassed that she put her hands around his neck and lowered her
head.
"Horace, what are you doing?" Clara whispered.
Horace asked gently, "Now that you've taken the supplement, why don't we take advantage of it? Don't
waste it..."
"Horace..."
Horace took Clara into the bedroom and slowly placed her on the soft bed.
He gently peeled off her coat, then her shirt, then her pants...
Clara's eyes were full of shyness and she closed them gently.
Horace's body missed her skin after days of not being able to be intimate with her.
Clara's lips were always so attractive to Horace that at any moment, Horace wanted to kiss them.
Clara was like a good glass of wine, waiting for someone who knew how to savor it, and Horace was
her best wine taster.
He sipped Clara like wine, layer by layer, intoxicated and addicting.
Horace, on the other hand, was whisky, one sip could make you dizzy, and the second sip would make
you excited all over... Clara loved Horace, the strong drink that lifted her body to the highest level.
...
After Clara's past was exposed, Ashlee's plot was discovered, Horace's life-savor was found, and so
on a series of things, everyone had been worn out, but life began to return to normal.
Clara went to work, went home, slept...
More than half a month passed in a quiet and peaceful time.
It would be nice to do this year after year. Plain but simple.
Clara loved it. She spent every day with Horace. The only bad thing was that Horace was so hungry
that she couldn't satisfy him. It seemed that Russell gave her the supplement for a reason.
With that in mind, Clara suddenly realized her period was late.
Clara's period was always on time, but this time she was more than half a month late. What's going on?
Was Russell right about this? That she could be knocked up in such a short time?
Clara decided to secretly go to the hospital for a check-up, to see if she was truly pregnant. Exclusive © material by Nô(/v)elDrama.Org.
She came to the hospital. There were many people in the hospital, all kinds of people, with difficult
miscellaneous diseases, all were there.
She registered and waited in her chair for an examination. Surrounding her were pregnant women, lots
of whom were accompanied by their partners.
Clara thought that if she was pregnant, Horace would accompany her for the checkup. She wondered
how many pregnant women would be envious of her. Horace is the most attractive man wherever he
goes.
A couple around her had been chatting.
Clara listened.
The woman said, "Seven months, you can tell if it's a boy or a girl now. I still want a girl."
The man said, "You think it's a girl?"
The woman, "The baby came to me in my dream last night. She said she was a girl."
The man, "As long as it's healthy. Every time I come to the hospital, I'm so nervous."
Clara chuckled, thinking that the man was really nervous as if he were the one giving birth to the baby.
Clara wished that she was pregnant. Horace was going to be so happy.
Clara imagined herself pregnant, Horace pushing a stroller and walking her down the leafy path...
Are they really expecting a baby? Horace's blood as well as hers would flow through this baby; he or
she would be the fruit of their love, the continuation of their life.
Pregnancy is really a magical thing!
Clara waited a long time for the doctor, and people around her were leaving.
She pushed the door open and went to the clinic.
The doctor asked her briefly about her condition and asked her to take a blood test.
Clara was waiting for the blood test.
According to the doctor's estimation, Clara was most likely pregnant. However, she had yet to show
any signs of pregnancy. He suggested that she go for a blood test and get more tests done.
Clara waited anxiously for the test report.
She thought of what the doctor had said, and was pleased and excited.
She touched her belly, and although she could not see any changes, she seemed to feel the existence
of the little one inside her.
Was she really going to be a mom? Clara couldn't help but rejoice.
Finally, the blood test result was out, and it said—
