Chapter 14: Don’t Make a Mess Here
“Very good.
A casual response.
Allyce froze, did she really have to lie to him?
Severo looked at her, frowned slightly and turned to look across the table. allyce followed his gaze until her eyes fell on the breakfast on the table.
A glass of milk, two pieces of toast and a fried egg; it was a simple but healthy breakfast.
So he had left him breakfast when he had gone out in the morning. No wonder he knew she hadn’t got up yet.
Allyce suddenly felt powerless and ashamed.
Severo simply said nonchalantly: “I have work to do at the office, I’m going now.
Allyce got up just in time to see his back disappear behind the closed door.
He looked at the food on the table: two plates of meat, a plate of vegetables and a bowl of light soup.
He had come back specifically to bring you food, hadn’t he?
Wasn’t it a long lunch break at the office and he had come all this way just to bring her lunch?
At the thought of this, Allyce felt a strange emotion in her mind.
The question crossed his mind and he dismissed it.
She had not forgotten her grandfather’s words. If someone agreed to marry her, she would get the shares her father had left her.
…
Back at the door of the Delahoz family villa, Allyce enters with her marriage certificate in hand.
In the living room, Lavina Gardon and Elvira Arenas are sitting on the sofa talking, Lavina laughs at something Elvira says.
Elvira Arenas is Senona’s mother. She is intelligent, good at what she does and has her mother-in-law, Lavina, in the palm of her hand.
Allyce stands in the doorway, not attracting anyone’s attention. She takes two more steps forward and calls out in a measured voice: “Grandma! Auntie!”
Lavina turned her head and gave Allyce a contemptuous look: “You’re back?
“Mom, Allyce is back on a rare occasion. No matter how bad she is as a person, she is also the granddaughter of the Delahoz family.” Elvira smiled and reassured Lavina.Content (C) Nôv/elDra/ma.Org.
Then she turned her head to Allyce and said: “Yesterday, Senona told us that she ran into you while she was shopping. And you, how did you end up dating a nobody? …” .
After this, Allyce stopped paying attention to their words. She had grown accustomed to these two men being treated as one good cop and one bad cop, and neither was fair to her.
“I’m looking for Grandpa.” Allyce interrupted Laura.
Hearing that, Elvira raised her eyebrows, thinking that Allyce was being insensitive.
“He is not at home. Hurry up and go. Don’t make a mess here.” Lavina’s eyes filled with disgust and she tried to push her away as if she were a beggar.
Allyce bit her lip to control herself. If it weren’t for her father’s actions, she would never want to set foot in this house.
“And where is he?” He would not leave until he got an answer.
Seeing Allyce’s stubbornness, Lavina spat out one word coldly: “Kimdis”.
“Thank you, Grandma.” Allyce smiled reluctantly and turned to leave before Lavina could turn hostile again.
Lavina was not Allyce’s grandmother; her grandmother had died shortly after giving birth to her father. Lavina was Casimiro’s second wife and Senona’s grandmother. No wonder she didn’t like Allyce.
Allyce arrives at Kimdis by taxi and immediately asks which room Casimir is in.
Allyce thought about it. The best thing to do was to call him first. However, as soon as she got on the phone, they hung up on her. She called several times, but they hung up on her.
Finally, unable to control himself, he went straight to the room.
Allyce pushed the door open. After a quick scan of the room, she found Casimiro. Senona was also there, along with others she did not recognise.
Everyone present turned their heads to look at her. Allyce unconsciously clenched her fists and shouted: “Grandfather!
