Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan)

Chapter 2234

Chapter 2234

Sophia felt wronged. "I just wanted some alone time with you. We haven't seen each other for days, and I was really looking forward to our date. But all evening, we barely spoke a word."

Robin disagreed. "We can go on dates anytime, but Diana was my guest tonight. Were we supposed to just ditch her and hang out by ourselves?" Sophia stared at the man in front of her, suddenly at a loss for words, her heart aching.

The atmosphere in the car turned tense and heavy, neither of them speaking, only the neon lights outside flickering in the darkness, casting shadows and a dull gloom.

After a moment, Robin broke the silence. "You mentioned you had something to tell me, what is it?"

Sophia had wanted to talk about spending the holidays together, but she no longer felt in the mood. She simply asked, "When do you have time off?" Robin replied indifferently, "Is that what you wanted to talk about? That's something we could've discussed over the phone. Why make it sound so serious?"

Sophia frowned at him. "So, unless there's something important, we can't see each other? Am I keeping you from working with Diana?" Robin quickly said, "Of course not."

At a red light, Robin stopped the car and took Sophia's hand. "Why are you being so sensitive all of a sudden?"

Sophia looked down. "The time we spend together doesn't even compare to the time you spend with Diana. You even brought her along on our date." Robin explained, "I already told you, she's new here and doesn't have many friends. Since we were leaving work at the same time, I thought I'd invite her along."

He added with a hint of frustration, "I even told Diana you were understanding and wouldn't mind. Why are you acting like this all of a sudden?" Sophia felt a sting at the mention of Diana and turned her gaze outside without another word.

Just then, the light turned green, and Robin released Sophia's hand to drive off.

As they approached Sophia's place, Robin's phone lit up. He checked it and saw a message from Diana, "Hey, that guy was following me again on my way back. Not sure if he's still outside. I'm kind of scared."

Robin replied anxiously, "Hang tight, I'll be right there."

"Hurry!"

Robin put away his phone and stopped the car outside Sophia's apartment building.

Sophia didn't want to part on bad terms, but before she could speak, Robin said, "You should head up and get some rest. I'll call you later." Feeling a pang of sadness, Sophia nodded. "Okay."

She got out, watching Robin's car hastily drive away. Sophia was puzzled by Robin's rushed departure and sudden change in demeanor She recalled a friend's warning wondering if Robin was really just busy with work.

Her intuition deepening, she didn't head inside but instead hailed a cab and followed Robin's car.

Robin arrived at Diana's apartment complex, cautiously looking around for anything suspicious before reaching her door. He called her, "Diana, it's me. Open up."

Diana quickly came to the door, her eyes welling up. "You're here!"All rights © NôvelDrama.Org.

Stepping inside, Robin reassured her, "Don't worry, I didn't see anyone lurking around."

"He was knocking on my door

earlier. I threatened to call the cops,

and I think that scared him off!"

Diana elung to Robin's arm, visibly shaken. "What if he comes back? What do I do?"
