Chapter 2182

Chapter 2182

Sylvia pulled back slightly from the man's lips, her voice low, "It's noisy, I don't like these people, and I don't like this place."

"Head home?" Gabriel asked.

"Mhm." NôvelDrama.Org: text © owner.

Gabriel took the cocktail from her hand and placed it on the coffee table, lifting her in his arms without saying goodbye to anyone, and strode towards the exit.

The crowd was left stunned once again.

It wasn't until the door closed and their figures disappeared that Dannis, with a stunned expression, blurted out, "Are they, like, going to get a room or something?"

He could tell Baron was into Sylvia, so was Gabriel deliberately stealing her right from under Baron's nose?

There was an Audrey before, and now a Sylvia!

But Gabriel had ignored Audrey before, and this time he just scooped Sylvia up in front of Baron!

With a loud crash, Baron smashed his glass on the coffee table, the shards scattering with the splashes of his drink.

"Ah!"

The hostesses around screamed and dodged.

"Baron, cool it, man. That chick's got no class, can't recognize a decent guy. Don't stoop to her level!" Dannis tried to calm him down.

Eugene shot up, pointing at Dannis, "Who are you calling a chick?"

Dannis sneered, "What's the matter, talking about Sylvia? She wouldn't give you the time of day, and you're still licking your wounds?"

Eugene reached for a bottle to hit Dannis, but Baron beat him to it, smashing a bottle over Dannis' head.

The bottle shattered on impact, and Dannis stumbled back. Other than the hostesses' screams, nobody else dared to speak.

Baron's face was a mask of cold fury, "I've set my sights on Sylvia, and if anyone dares to challenge me, I'll make them regret it!"

Eugene scoffed, "I'm right here. If you've got the guts, come at me!"

Baron's eyes mocked him coldly, "You're not even in the running. I'm talking about Gabriel!"

The thought of that tall man gave Eugene a pang in his heart.

Shirley looked on, her gaze flickering and her brows furrowed, sensing trouble brewing for Gabriel.

Gabriel, holding Sylvia, stepped out of the private room and walked down the plush carpeted hallway. As he loosened his grip to let Sylvia down, she protested.

"Don't!" Sylvia clung tighter to him, her voice playful and soft, "My legs really hurt, I don't want to walk!"

After her complaint, she added in a murmur, "You caused it, you have to take care of it."

Gabriel's tone was teasing, "So fragile, and you wanted to invite me for coffee?"

As Sylvia spoke close to his ear, her lips occasionally brushed against his, "Of course, whenever Gab needs me, I can't turn him away. That's the spirit of a femme fatale."

Her voice was sultry and lazy, her breath warm on his neck.

Knowing she was tipsy, Gabriel tightened his arm around her, striding towards the exit.

Both had been drinking, and the hotel arranged for a designated driver. As Gabriel helped Sylvia into the car, she wouldn't let go.

The driver kept glancing back.

Gabriel frowned but spoke patiently, "Get in the car, we're going home."

Only then did Sylvia open her eyes and obediently release him, settling into the car.

As soon as Gabriel got in, she leaned against him again, resting in his embrace, her lashes drooping, her lips soft and inviting.

This time, Gabriel didn't push her away. He wrapped his arm around her shoulders, making her comfortable, and gave the driver the address.

Sylvia slept soundly during the drive, occasionally nuzzling into Gabriel's neck like a cat dreaming of cream, only to be gently pushed away by his hand. She would let out a muffled giggle and then go back to snoozing.

Traffic was a bit heavy, and it took an hour to reach Willowbrook Plaza.

Of course, Gabriel carried her upstairs, and upon entering the apartment, he asked while taking off his shoes, "Aren't you going to get down?"
