Chapter 101
Chapter 101
The two of them slept in each other’s arms, time silently passing by, and a night went by just like that.
As the sky began to turn bright, Jonathan suddenly woke up. He opened his eyes and saw that he had
slept in the guest bedroom. He had actually slept here for the entire night!
The light inside the room was dim, and Estelle was still in a deep sleep. Jonathan looked at her face for
a while, then slowly got up and left quietly.
When Estelle woke up in broad daylight, she tried to recall what happened and turned to see the empty
spot where the man had been lying.
He did leave after all.
Estelle calmly turned her gaze away, looked at the sun outside, and stretched lazily.
Another week went by in a blink, and it was already June. During class, Isis complained to her that the
art gallery was going to have an exhibition, but the tickets were hard to get, and she couldn’t buy any.
She said she would try to help, but Isis just thought it was a comforting lie and didn’t take it to heart.
On Saturday, Estelle received a call from Old Mr. Quintin. The old man was furious, “Young lady, if I
didn’t call you, will you forgot all about me as your teacher?”
Estelle slowly smiled, “Mr. Quintin, I’ve been thinking about you.”
Just this one sentence immediately calmed the old man’s anger, but he acted aloof, “Whatever, if you
really missed me, why didn’t you call me or come to see me? Your apprentice brother knows to come
and see me every week. Are you busier than him?”
Estelle lowered her voice, “I was wrong. I’ll be there this afternoon to bring you some desserts.”
“You don’t need to wait until the afternoon. Come over now. I’m waiting for you to have lunch.” The old
man ordered.
Estelle gladly agreed, “Okay, but I need at least an hour. Don’t starve yourself, you can eat something
first.”
“Stop nagging! Hurry up! I’m waiting for the dessert.” The old man hummed and hung up.
Estelle pursed her lips and smiled, then headed to The Sugar Fix to buy the dessert.
After buying the dessert, she received Jason’s call. He chuckled, “So, he called you?”
Estelle looked down, “It’s indeed my fault that I haven’t visited him for so long.”
“He is just like that.” Jason’s voice was gentle, “I will go there today too. Where are you? I’ll pick you
up.”
“I’m at Magnolia Avenue, in front of The Sugar Fix.”
“I’m nearby, about ten minutes away. Wait for me there.”
“Okay!”
Ten minutes later, Jason picked up Estelle.
Jason looked back at Estelle as he drove and smiled lightly. “You look nice. You’ve been doing pretty
well?”
Having Jonathan’s company was indeed quite enjoyable, she thought secretly. She turned to look out
the window and replied, “Not bad.” “Has your marriage with the Lamont family expired?” Jason asked.
Jason was initially very unhappy when Estelle was married to the Lamont family under Bennett’s
arrangement, so Estelle didn’t dare to tell him that she now was Jonathan’s friend with benefits.
Instead, she vaguely replied, “Almost.”
“After the marriage is over, don’t go back to the Macclain family. Your house is far from the University
of J City. Live in my house at the Royal Mansion. It’s close to the University of J City.” Jason said
lightly.
Estelle was shocked, “The Royal Mansion?”
“Yes.” Jason nodded, “Why?”
Estelle shook her head unnerved, “Nothing.” NôvelDrama.Org owns all © content.
Jason handed her a key as he drove with one hand, “Here’s the key. You can go there anytime. I’ll
arrange for someone to cook for you.” Estelle took the key and put it in her bag, “Thank you, elder
apprentice brother. But I’ve also rented a house over there.”
Jason glanced at her skeptically through his thin–framed glasses, “Aren’t you living in Villa del Sol?”
