Chapter 241 Dealing with Lilian

"Vivian, are you okay?"

When Norah saw Vivian's disheveled appearance, she was frightened.

"Vivian, say something! Don't scare me." Norah said with fear.

To make matters worse, Lilian burst into tears and said to Shawn as soon as Norah finished speaking,

"Shawn, please protect me."

"Look! She pulled out all my hair."

Lilian pointed at Vivian and angrily accused her, "She's crazy! As soon as she came in, she scolded me

and poured water on my hair. First hot water, then cold water. Look, even my blanket was wet."

"That's enough."

At that moment, Norah couldn't help but shout out loud.

She didn't want to cause trouble for Shawn before. For Shawn's sake, she never made a fuss about

anything.

But what happened today crossed the line for her.

While Vivian stood there silently, Lilian Fountain started crying and telling a false story.

Especially when Norah moved Vivian's disheveled hair to the side and saw the bloody wound on

Vivian's face, she got really angry.

She was mad. She was furious. She was so angry that she shivered.

After pulling Vivian aside, Norah walked over to Lilian. This time she stood up straight.

There was no longer any peace and calm on her face, and her eyes were as cold as an icy blade. Published by Nôv'elD/rama.Org.

"Lilian Fountain, you've crossed the line with me."

"I told you that I can fight back, I just don't want to argue with you. But this time..."

As she spoke, Norah raised her hand and slapped Lilian in the face.

The sound of the crisp slap echoed through the room.

No one had expected Norah to slap Lilian.

Not only Lilian, but even Vivian and Shawn were taken by surprise.

"Norah Chase, how dare you slap me? Who do you think you are?" Lilian looked at her incredulously.

Norah looked at Lilian coldly and slapped her in the face again.

Lilian covered her face and cried softly, "Shawn, are you really going to let her do this to me? She

almost beat me to death."

"Lilian Fountain, you better pray that the wound on Vivian's face won't leave any scars. Otherwise, I will

make you suffer the same."

"Remember, whatever harm you do to Vivian, I'll make you pay for it. If you don't believe me, just wait

and see."

"Vivian, let's go."

After that, Norah didn't even look at Shawn and left with Vivian.

Shawn followed, grabbed Norah's hand and said, "The clinic is on the second floor. Let me take you

there."

"No thanks." Norah coldly refused, "You should stay here with the woman you love the most. As I said,

we're done since you chose her."

"Besides, please make her behave. If she dares to do it again, I don't mind teaching her a lesson

myself."

"Norah." Shawn didn't let go of Norah's hand and continued, "Don't refuse my advice just because of

your anger. Vivian's wound needs urgent care. Her job is special and she cannot afford to have scars

on her face."

"Mr. Lawson, thank you for your kindness. But please don't bother. I'd rather have scars on my face

than be treated in a hospital for mental illness and disabilities. It's too bad." Vivian finally spoke.

Her words made Lilian angry.

Soon Norah and Vivian left.

Seeing that Shawn stayed, Lilian felt happy. She immediately shed tears and said in a pitiful tone,

"Shawn, my face hurts."

But as soon as she finished speaking, Lilian realized that something was wrong.

Shawn walked towards her with cold eyes, as if there was no warmth or care in his gaze for her.

His eyes were like a sharp sword that made her feel afraid.

"Shawn..."

"Shawn, what? What's going on? I'm a little scared of the way you..." Lilian said a little scared.

However, before she could finish her sentence, she felt a suffocating feeling coming from her neck.

Her chin was being viciously pinched by Shawn.

"Shawn, ah... Let go... Let go."

"I... I can't breathe, let go." Lilian yelled as loud as she could and tried hard breathing.

But he didn't listen.

Shawn looked at her coldly, as if she meant nothing to him. "I warned you not to mess with her. You

didn't take my words to heart, did you?"

'Her?'

'Huh!' Lilian sneered to herself and thought, 'Norah Chase! It's Norah Chase again! Why do you only

have this woman in your heart? Why can't you see what I've done for you?'

"Ah! Let go of me! Shawn, I... I'm dying, let go." Lilian cried in pain, desperately patting Shawn with her

hands.

Just as she was about to run out of breath, Shawn finally let go of her.

Lilian immediately gasped for air.

After recovering for a while, she looked at the man in front of her with a pale and sad face and said,

"Shawn, can't you have a little compassion for me after I paid a heavy price to save you, even if you

don't love me?"

"I know you love Norah. I don't even expect your love anymore. I just want a little bit of sympathy and

compassion from you now. Is that too much to ask?"

Shawn looked at her and his eyes were still frighteningly cold. He replied, "You should be grateful that

you saved me, otherwise I wouldn't have been so merciful to you.

"I told you it's your choice about your legs. You can still stand up if you have the surgery. But if you

don't want it, I'll cancel all the preparations right away, and you'll lose your chance forever."

"Shawn." Lilian's eyes filled with tears as she looked at him. "You're pressuring me. Are you forcing me

to have surgery now?"

"I told you, I'm giving you a choice. Whether you accept the surgery or not is up to you. But you only

have one chance to make that choice, and you have to make it today."

After he finished speaking, Shawn headed for the door.

Lilian knew he was leaving, so she immediately reached out and grabbed him. "No, Shawn, don't go! I

won't let you go."

"I promise you! I'll have surgery. But you promised me too. You said you would stay with me."

"That was then. Now? Impossible." Shawn looked at Lilian and gave this cold response in a freezing

tone.

But Lilian did not want to let go and still held on to him.

Shawn turned around and plucked her fingers one by one. Then he pushed her hand away.

"Shawn, no... Don't."

"Shawn! Don't leave me."

"Please don't leave me." Lilian cried so bitterly.

But he didn't listen.

Shawn pushed her away and walked away without looking back.

With a loud bang, the door closed.

After leaving Lilian's ward, he ran down the hall like crazy, trying to catch up with Norah and Vivian.

But he was still a bit late.

He got into his car and drove straight to the hospital where they were going.
