Chapter 325 Do You Know Rao Xue?

When Mu Zhi received Eric’s call and got to know where he was, she was completely stunned. She rushed to Lu Jinye’s house at once after hanging up!

Mu Zhi pushed the door open and saw Eric inside. Eric was sitting with a solemn look on his face. He seemed to be waiting for her. Eric wondered if he should reveal the truth to Mu Zhi. He was a cautious person.

Therefore, he needed to observe and see if Mu Zhi could take it or not.

Eric stood up when he saw Mu Zhi. Mu Zhi grabbed Eric’s hand and bombarded him with a series of questions out of anxiety, “What’s the matter? Are you okay? Why are you here?”

Mu Zhi scanned the surroundings carefully, watching out for Lu Jinye.

Eric shook his head and simply replied, “I’m alright.”

“Why did you call me here? Where is Lu Jinye?”

Mu Zhi asked again anxiously.

Eric raised his head and looked at Mu Zhi seriously with his big eyes wide open, “Mommy, have you ever thought that maybe…”

“Xie Xiu wasn’t my father?”

Eric tried to ask Mu Zhi casually.

But when Mu Zhi heard this, she was stunned. Why would Eric say such a thing? But Mu Zhi did not want to stay any longer at Lu Jinye’s house as she was certain that he was the culprit who fed that

thought into Eric’s mind.

Mu Zhi looked around for Lu Jinye’s presence. She did not bother to explain too much to Eric. She only wanted to take him out of here as soon and as far as possible, away from Lu Jinye.

“Let’s go.”

Mu Zhi grabbed Eric’s hand.

However, Eric did not budge. He merely observed Mu Zhi’s reaction.

Eric trusted Lu Jinye’s decision. He believed that he was Lu Jinye’s son as well.

“Come on, let’s make a move.”

Mu Zhi persuaded, “We’ll talk about this at home.”

Only then did Eric budge. He followed Mu Zhi out of the house, but his eyes never left Mu Zhi.

Mu Zhi brought him out and got into the car. Then she ordered the driver to leave.

The driver started the car and quickly drove away from Lu Jinye’s home.

Mu Zhi was on pins and needles in the car throughout the whole way back. She wanted to warn Eric to stay away from Lu Jinye. It was best if he could even dodge whenever he heard his name.

But Mu Zhi did not find any chance to bring this up.

However, Eric did not mention it at all in the car. He was worried that the driver would report their conversation to Xie Xiu.

After twenty minutes or so of silence, Mu Zhi turned to look at Eric, and finally asked, “Why were you there? Why were you at Lu Jinye’s house?”

Eric glanced at Mu Zhi and answered her calmly, “Mom, I don’t think Mr. Lu is a bad person.”

“You have to listen to your mother whether he is or not…”

Mu Zhi frowned. She was about to tell Eric about Lu Jinye. But before she could continue, a car suddenly stopped in front of their vehicle.

Because it was too sudden, there was no time to duck. The driver slammed onto the steering wheel to get around, and they rammed into a flower bed at the side. Fortunately, the driver slammed onto the brake in the nick of time. Mu Zhi and Eric suffered no injuries because they were wearing seat belts.

“Are you all right?”

The driver quickly turned around to make sure.

“We are fine.”

Mu Zhi was petrified. She checked on Eric immediately. To her relief, nothing serious happened to him.

The driver unfastened his seat belt and wanted to get out of the car to check. However, when he opened the door, he saw a pair of women’s feet standing at the door.

Whereas Mu Zhi saw a masked woman holding a black holed gun in her hand. She pointed it at the driver.

Just as Mu Zhi was about to scream, the gun went off, and the driver was killed before he knew it. The driver’s body fell limply onto the steering wheel. His body pressed against the horn and had it pressed continuously.

Mu Zhi was terrified having witnessed this scene. She subconsciously held Eric tight in her arms and continued to comfort him, “Don’t be afraid, everything will be fine.”

Just then, the masked woman walked to the back seat and opened the car door. She signaled Mu Zhi to get out of the car with her gun.

“Who are you?” Mu Zhi asked.

“Get off.”

The masked woman repeated herself.

Mu Zhi instinctively moved further into the car with Eric in her arms. It made her feel safer.

“My patience is very limited.”

“Bang!”

The masked woman fired another shot at the driver’s body. Blood dripped profusely from the back of his body.

“Okay, we’ll come out. Don’t hurt us. If you want money, I can give you a lot of it.”

Mu Zhi got out of the car and went on, “You should know my husband since you came here prepared. He will pay you a lot of money in exchange for us.”

“Get in that car.”

The masked woman pointed to the car that had stopped in front of them.

“We will be fine.”

Mu Zhi whispered into Eric’s ear and then took him into the car.

Eric clutched Mu Zhi’s hand tightly, and comforted his mother too, “I am not afraid whenever I’m with mommy.”

Then, both Mu Zhi’s and Eric’s heads were covered. Mu Zhi could feel the car start and passed through a few corners. They could also hear the whistling of a train. Mu Zhi knew that her location was getting more and more remote.

After a long time, the car finally stopped. The masked woman took Mu Zhi and Eric out of the car and instructed them to walk forward.

Then Mu Zhi and Eric sat on chairs and were tied up.

The masked women took off the cloth over their heads. Only then Mu Zhi could see clearly that it was an old warehouse. It was covered with dust and looked like it had been abandoned for a long time.

“Who are you?”

Mu Zhi pressed the woman once more.

The masked woman ignored her. But then Eric blurted, “You must be only a subordinate because no mastermind would be so stupid as to do the kidnapping himself. Tell your boss that he can do whatever he wants except hurting mommy. If not, he’ll be miserable for the rest of his life.”

The masked woman smiled menacingly without taking Eric’s words into account. But what this little devil said was true. The “task” was fully completed. It was time to report to the boss.

The masked woman took out her phone to call her boss, “Boss, it is done.”

“Okay.”

The call ended.

Mu Zhi listened in a daze.

There weren’t any clues for her.

She abruptly asked the woman, “Are you sent by Rao Xue? Do you know Rao Xue? Or are you Rao Xue?”

The woman chuckled lightly when she heard Mu Zhi’s questions.

“You’ve asked too many questions. And you shouldn’t have asked some of them.”

The warehouse plunged into darkness the moment the door was closed.
