Chapter 4
Chapter 4
“This area is a forbidden forest. You and Lisa shouldn't be here. Maybe Jessy has the same curiosity
as you. Young people do have a great curiosity. This forest has been closed and forbidden to enter
since a dozen years ago. It all started with some strange events that we initially thought didn't make
sense. Many of the victims died in horrific conditions, their bodies were torn apart, like a wild beast
attack. And the victims were found in this forest," said Sheriff Webb.
"Then?" Sean asked curiously as he looked at Sheriff Webb and his father in turn.
Sheriff Webb looked at Bruce, and vice versa. Then Sheriff Webb sighed and resumed his explanation.
“Some people saw wolves roaming and passing through the forest. However, the horror did not stop
there. The residents work together with the police team into the forest to hunt down wild wolves. At first,
we all thought it was a wild wolf. Until finally, some of us saw the transformation from a human to a
werewolf, but unfortunately, they couldn't see the human form of the werewolf. The shapeshifting was
terrifying and the wolf's size was much larger than the size of a normal wolf. When he found out where
we were, he chased and hunted us. Several of us were injured and killed on the mission. Since then,
the mayor has closed this forest and we call it the forbidden forest. For a dozen years, this forest has
been untouched by humans, until tonight's incident made us fear and reminisce about events in the All content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
past," said Sheriff Webb.
“Then, how is my sister in there? Will she be all right?” Sean asked frantically as he got up from his
chair.
Bruce approached his son and hugged him. Both hug each other. Then, Bruce said, "We'll find her, I
promise you."
Sean didn't answer, he hugged his father and rested his head on his shoulder. Then Sheriff Webb
asked Sean and Bruce to calm down and rest for the night. Tomorrow morning the search will resume.
That night, it rained very hard, lightning struck several times. Everyone had drifted off to sleep, except
for Sean who was still awake. He was very worried about Lisa. If Sheriff Webb's words were true, his
sister would likely be in danger if one or more of the wolves found Lisa in the abyss. He didn't even
dare to imagine something bad happening to his sister.
While holding back the gust of cold air that entered the tent, Sean hoped that God would protect his
sister. Not long after that, he fell asleep.
Meanwhile, deep below the abyss, to be precise in an old, run-down house. Lisa woke up several times
because she heard the sound of lightning striking several times and a gust of cold air that made her
body shiver. She wanted to wake up and see the situation outside, but her body couldn't move at all.
She turned her head to the side and was surprised to find Scott looking at her with an inexplicable look.
Fear and curiosity arose, courageously, she asked, “I thought you were still asleep. Is there something
wrong with me that you're looking at me like that?"
For a while Scott remained silent and didn't answer, then he sighed and replied, “I woke up to the
sound of thunder and felt cold. There's nothing wrong with you, I'm just trying to make sure you're okay.
That is all."
Lisa smiled, then replied, “Thank you. I don't know what will happen to me if you didn't help me.
Hopefully, they will find us soon.”
The handsome man was silent, then turned his face towards the window where he can see a strong
wind blowing outside.
Lisa felt that the man's eyes seemed to imply something mysterious and kept something that could not
be expressed. Their togetherness that night was quite mysterious to the girl.
Lisa also looked out the window, she regretted everything. If only she had not asked Jessy to take her
to this forbidden forest and take her brother and friend into the forest, of course, things would not have
ended like this. Then, she began crying. Scott who heard the sound of crying turned his head and
asked the girl, "Why are you crying?"
“I-I regret something,” she answered quietly.
"Regret what?" asked Scott.
“If I hadn't taken my brother into the forest, none of this would have happened. I don't know what
happened to him."
"Come on, stop crying. I'm sure your brother is fine."
Lisa was shocked and she stopped crying for a moment, then she asked, "How can you be sure if he's
okay?"
"You must have faith, at least that can make you strong," he replied as he looked back into the dark
night through the large window in front of the two of them.
Lisa still can't be sure about Sean's condition, she just hopes her brother will be okay. Then, tears
rolled down her face. It was a long night for the girl.
Back to the battle arena witnessed by Lisa and Sean in the middle of the forest, namely the battle
between the two strongest packs in Stowe City, namely the Black Skull Pack and the Blood Moon
Pack. The fight was no ordinary fight and was not only aimed at expanding the realm of power but was
much darker and more complicated than one could imagine.
The white wolf who was trying to attack Sean, when he saw the police and rescue team coming,
immediately fled and returned to the battlefield. As his feet approached the arena there was a faint
howl and cry for help from the familiar voice of a wolf.
The white wolf named Fred saw many victims fall from the pack under his leadership and his
opponent's pack. Blood was flowing everywhere and the smell was so strong. However, Fred continued
to walk trying to find the weak voice among the many bodies in the form of a wolf lying in the middle of
the arena.
"Fred, help."
In the darkness of the night, Fred saw Peter's badly injured body. He tried to get Fred closer to him,
apparently, he wanted to convey a message to him.
"Fred," he asked in a weak voice.
“Peter,” he called, drawing closer to his beta body.
"Fred, I think we're just the victims of someone." Peter vomited quite a lot of blood.
“Peter, hang on. Enough! Don't go on." At that time, Fred returned to his human form and hugged
Peter's body which was still in the form of a wolf.
“Fred, in the middle of the fight just now, I saw someone seemed to be monitoring all of us from a
distance. But I can't see his face. You have to find ….”
"What I have to find about?" Fred asked Peter.
