Hopeless..
Third Person POV
Having lost all hope, Demelza just sat in one spot feeling so numb not knowing what will become of her father. She sat by the window looking outside and enjoying the sight of the environment. It’s greenery delight made thinking easier for her as her thoughts could flow well. Her favorite place to stay in her apartment is by her window as it feels more comfortable. Sitting by the window helps her navigate her thoughts to the right direction but today’s wasn’t going well for her at all. The more she tried to think about better ways to save her father, the more she remembers how Nathan turned her down. Out of frustration from thinking, she kept biting her nails without realizing it.
‘ Ouch ‘ she said out loud from injuring herself. She looks down at her left index finger, only to realize she had bitten a part of her flesh off.
‘ stupid ‘ she mumbled to herself scolding herself at the same time.
She stands up from the window side to run a quick shower as she remembered she is meant to visit her father today.
She washed her hair with her citrus fragrance shampoo and had her bath with her strawberry fragrance body wash. Taking her bath, she begins to wonder to herself why she got a citrus and strawberry fragrance. Felt to her like they are two opposing fragrance.
‘ who decides to use a citrus and strawberry fragrance at the same time? ‘ she asks herself rhetorically.
‘ whatever ‘ she tells herself walking out of the bathroom with her towel wrapped around her chest and another wrapped around get head. She finds her way to her dresser to apply her body lotion as she is currently not in the mood to do her skincare properly. The only thing on her mind is to go and see her father. In less than thirty minutes, she finished dressing up and tied her hair in a messy bunny. She glosssed her lips and picked her favorite shades to wear out. Without wanting to waste much time, she hastily locked the door to her apartment and made her way downstairs. Luckily fit her, she got a cab immediately she got down.

“Daddy” Demelza exclaimed the moment she saw her father being brought to her from afar. Impatiently, she runs tomhim having missed him so much. As she got closer to him, a guard violently pushed her aside making her fall helplessly to the floor which made everyone turn toward her wondering the necessity of the guard’s violence.
“Don’t you dare” Demelza’s father said out loud nodding the guard holding him with so much force.
He hated how his daughter was disrespected amd he wanted the guard to pay.
Before Demelza could understand what is going on, she could see her father being beaten so bad. She stands up immediately to stop them from hitting her dad, but one other guard held her away for her to watch her father get beaten.
She tried to struggle and set herself free to help her dad but the guard held her back for her to keep watching them. After so much blows to the stomach and punches to the face, they finally finished hitting him and threw him to the floor and spat on him afterwards.
The guard holding Demelza back let her free when he saw that the others are through with her father. Demelza runs to her father’s side and hold him up cleaning him up with her plan as much as she could. Noticing her palm isn’t doing justice, she removes the cotton long sleeve she had on to clean his face and body properly. She hates the sight of blood and couldn’t stand seeing it on her father. It hurts her so much to see how badly he is treated being innocent.
“I promise to get you out of here” Demelza tells her father in-between sobs.
“How do you intend doing that?” He asked her.
“I will find my way. I just need you to hang on a little more” she tells him still sobbing.
“No” he responded.
“What do you mean no?” She asked him immediately.
“I am your father, and it is my duty to protect you. Not the other way round” he tells her using his hands to clean her tears.
“I know that, but for now. I will find a way out tof this mess. I miss you so much and it hurts me to see you this way. With each passing day, it feels like my world is crumbling without you in it” Demelza tells him.
“I know, but I do not mind giving up my life if that is what it takes to get Hampton out of your life. You are beautiful and you deserve a beautiful life. I may not be able to give you that myself but I will make sure I get rid of every obstacle that will hinder you from living a good life. I will gladly breathe my last if it means Hampton wi be out if your life for good.” He tells her.
Demelza begind to sob so much that she could feel her chest tightening from how much her heart hurts from all of these.

“No, no, no. You can’t do this. Please just a little more” she begs crying to be be with her father a little longer but all plea fell on deaf ears.
As the guards dragged her father further away, the guard holds her on the same spot letting her watch as he is being dragged away.
Still sobbing, she hears a very loud whistle which sounds very familiar. She turns in horror hoping her ears heard worng but it immediately feels like her heart dropped to the ground the moment her eyes met that of Hampton. With her head up, and her yes fixed on him, she cursed within her and wishes he would fall down that height and be dead.
