Fall For Me

I woke up with the repugnant smell of antiseptic solution, it filled the room and it made me feel nauseous I carefully and gently sat upright on the bed, My head was hurting badly, I couldn’t see well, My eyes were still blurry from the sleep I had just woken up from, What happened? I asked myself as I continued to trace the event that happened last night.

My vision was beginning to be sharp again, I started to recollect the memories of the night, I came out to the garden with the sole purpose of running away, I climbed over a fence behind the garden shed, My arm got injured, When I turned to look at my hand I saw it wrapped, Someone must have brought me here, My thoughts were coming back but slowly, As my vision finally came back I viewed the room I was in, it looked like a clinic of some sort, It doesn’t look like a hospital room though.

Aha! The stranger in the car offered to take me home, I drank a bottle of water, And that was all I could remember, Where was I? This doesn’t look like my house, A Series of thoughts came running through my mind. What if I have been kidnapped again? Oh, what a fate I have, Escaping a kidnapper and falling right into another one’s trap, I stood up from the bed and the sharp pain filled me, My ankle was hurting really bad, And it dawned on me that I sprained my ankle, After all the pain I went through to escape, I just ended up here, and maybe in even a worse situation than I was before I tried to escape from the mansion. I went out to look through the window, and I contemplated on whether I should jump out and make a run for it, But what if I am outnumbered? I can’t risk being trafficked and I can’t risk being killed.

As I stood there contemplating my next move, The knob of the door moved, My stomach twisted instantly, and I could feel every hair on my body rising, I was scared and I didn’t know what to do, When the door opened the fear of not knowing who was at the other end of the door was already sending shivers down my spine, If only I wasn’t so quick to run away, I would have avoided this mess. I shut my eyes, trembling at the thought of who it could be.

“Oh you’re awake” I heard a familiar voice question me, I snapped open my eyes and the devil himself stood in front of me. Carson was beaming at the sight of me. What is he doing here? And how did he find me?

I stood there with wide eyes and an open mouth, Trying to figure out how he found me.

“Close your mouth, darling,” Carson said while walking towards me, I am sure he was elated that he had found me.

“How did you find me?” I asked with pain in my heart

“Oh my my, you shouldn’t be surprised I did tell you,” Carson said

“That you won’t be able to escape me, you’re mine” My stomach twisted, The thought of never escaping him ran shivers down my spine.

“I-I, you-” I tried to form words but even my head was failing me at this point

“If you must know, My patrol team did all the work, You didn’t think you could sneak away from them, did you now?” Carson said in a mockery tone, oh how I hate him with every fiber of my being, he made me go through all that for nothing.

“You can’t do this to me,” I said firmly

“But I am already doing it,” Carson said and looked and me with a mischievous smile.

“I need to go home, please take me home” I knelt and started sobbing, I was running out of options, and I had no idea of what to do next, Pleading was the only thing I could think of

“I’m afraid I can’t just do that” Carson sat down and crossed his legs while looking at me

“How can you say you love me but you love seeing me in pain?” I questioned Carson with tears streaming down my cheeks

Carson got up and walked up to me, He bent down and held my cheeks

“You think seeing you like this gives me pleasure?” Carson said in a serious tone

“Then let me go” I yelled at Carson, releasing my face from his grip.

“I can’t,” Carson said

“Why? Just let me go please” I couldn’t hold back the pain I was feeling, The tears were endless, Carson got up and turned his back on me

“I can’t let you go because you will never come back,” Carson said in a calm voice. Perhaps he was just afraid to lose me, But how could he love someone he just met so passionately?

“I will come back, Just let me go see my family,” I said, I have to be smart if I want to leave here and escape from his clutches.

“We both know that’s a lie, if you leave I will have to drag you back,” Carson said, He wasn’t lying, I will never agree to come back to this vile man who separated me from my family.

“What can I do to make you believe me?” I asked, At this point I was already desperate to leave and go as far as possible away from him.

“It is simple, Fall in love with me,” Carson said with a subtle giggle. It wasn’t just easy to fall in love with an insane person. My freedom is surely not certain if this is the only condition he was offering.

He saw I was quiet for a while, I sat on the floor and was sobbing, I was desperate to leave and there was no other solution. Carson walked up to me, picked me up from the floor, and held my waist before pulling me closer to his body.
