Chapter 159: Did I Do Something to You Last Night
Tyrone looked at her. "What are you doubting?
"I..."Cathy moved her sight slightly and suddenly asked. "Where is Aaron?" Aaron was with her and he should know if she had a fever or not.
"Mr. Lee is back to the company, and I asked him to explain for you. Tyrone held her shoulder and sat down again and his deep voice was so gentle. "If you are not feeling well, take a rest. I will take care of the rest things, OK?" Cathy looked at him quietly with a serious expression, as if she were still thinking about those things.
After a long time, she lowered her head and asked. "Do Mr.Black and others know that you sent me to the hospital?" "They don't know, I just wanted to come back to see you, and I did not tell them." The man smiled warmly and rubbed her hair.
Every day in New York, he was planning on how to meet her earlier. Once he had done his work, he came back in a hurry. Cathy could feel heat in her heart. Her cold expression was going to be changed by him. Then she pushed him gently against his chest. "Why do I think you are like a plague, every time you show up around me, something bad would happen. Can you just stay away from me?"
The man raised his eyebrows and looked at her with a strange smile. "Why don't you say that I saved you every time when you were in danger? It's okay if you do not thank me, but you even make a face to me." Cathy choked and stared at him, then reached out. "Where is my phone?"
Tyrone said indifferently. "I called your family and told your company. You don't need your phone. Either lie down or we will go out to have dinner. "Cathy suddenly got angry and said coolly. "Tyron Raman, who do you think you are? It is my phone. Give it to me. I won't eat with you or stay here. I will go home."
She still did not figure out what happened last night, and she believed in her intuition. She believed that it was not a simple sorority, there must be something wrong with those dishes and those glasses of water... Tyrone did not know, but Aaron must know something. If she was really drugged last night, how could she recover just one night? She was not stupid. These were nothing new in that workplace. "Well, I will go home with you." He looked calm, mild and even full of patience. Cathy's eyes suddenly changed. "Did you just say I was sick?"
Last time she had a fever, he forced her to stay in the hospital with a cold face. "You are all right now. Since you do not want to stay here, you can go home and rest." Tyrone looked at her quietly with his calm and dark eyes.
Cathy pressed her lips, looked at him sharply and said with a deep voice. "You lied to me. I did not have a fever, did I? I was drugged last night." Tyrone's eyes darkened, his long arms stretched out and pulled her into his arms again. He said to her with his thin lips close to her ears. "No matter you had a fever or not. You are all right now. I will handle the rest things. You do not have to worry about it."
Cathy pressed tightly her lips and her heart sank. As she thought, she was drugged last night and he knew it.
She never met that Mr. Black before. Even if he did it, how to explain the other things? Few people knew that she was pregnant. She slight clenched her fist. And her eyes became more complex. But her voice softened. "Tell me whatever you find out."
It had to be admitted that except calling the police, she has no other way to deal with it. But it was too slow and complicated. She didn't have that patience. Tyrone pulled out a slight smile. "Okay."
"Can you let me go now?" Cathy grabed his hands on her waist, clenching her teeth. Suddenly, something occurred to her, her expression became a little weird and embarrassed. "Last night... last night, when you brought me to the hospital... did I, what did I do?"
She had never seen that medicine, but she had heard of it. If people did something in an unconscious state, these things would be completely forgotten after waking up. Tyrone let go of her with a smile and he was still calm. "You didn't remember?"
Cathy's face turned red and looked at him, stuttering. "What, what should I remember? I knew I was with Aaron Lee when I fainted... I just wanted to ask if I had done anything to him, in case we got embarrassed when meeting in the company."
She didn't remember. She could just ask Aaron. In fact, there was nothing embarrassed in front of him. Tyrone's eyes darkened and looked at her with a poker face. "You are not afraid if he did something to you?"
"He will not." Cathy said without thinking. The man's face grew colder, covered with chill. Then he sneered. "You quite trust him." Content © NôvelDrama.Org 2024.
