Every Breath You Take

Chapter 55

Chapter 55

After work, Monica was taken by Roland to see a customer, and she did not go home until 11 o'clock.

Although Roland was a bit drunken, he still insisted on sending her off.

He ordered a designated driver of the hotel to take Monica home, and then left. Monica also drank a bit

and felt a little dizzy. Watching Roland's car leave, she turned to go upstairs. The corridor was dark and Ccontent © exclusive by Nô/vel(D)ra/ma.Org.

the streetlights were long broken. She had just set foot on the old stairs when a hand suddenly reached

out from the darkness and grabbed her.

Monica was shocked. She opened her mouth and wanted to call for help, but a hand covered her lips in

time.

Even though she was a bit drunk, the familiar scent still made her instantly know the identity of the

person who had caught her. "Quarmy, let me go!"

Quarmy had been waiting for her for a few hours, and he was already filled with anger. When he saw

that Monica was sent back by Roland, he was even more furious.

In the few hours he had been waiting in the car, he had already turned on the computer and saw

everything on the Internet. It was all caused by Monica's blind date. If she hadn't been to the d*mn blind

date program, such a thing wouldn't have happened.

It was ridiculous. He actually became a jerk. In their marriage, he knew that his mother was really tough

on her and he felt really sorry for her. If it weren't for him, she wouldn't be so wronged.

His mother was that sort of old-fashioned person. Even though her words were harsh, she wasn't bad

to the extreme.

His father had died early, and it was not easy for his mother to raise him and manage the company. He

was her only son and had to be filial. When she knew that Monica could not give birth, she was very

disappointed. He knew that Jenny mistreated Monica, so he felt sorry for Monica. However, he had to

respect Jenny because she was his mother. He couldn't choose between love and affection, so he

could only be put in a dilemma.

But there was no way for him to abandon his mother. If he could abandon his own mother, was he still a

human being?

Monica could hate Jenny, but what right did she have to call him a scum? Quarmy, had never hurt her!

Never! What right did she have to be so self-righteous?!

Monica was struggling. Quarmy didn't say anything and dragged her outside. It was dark in the alley.

He had come here too many times, and he was already familiar with the way.

Although Monica drank a little bit, she was very clear that she didn't want to have anything to do with

this man at all. She struggled with all her strength, grabbed him with her hands and kicked him.

Her lack of coordination caused him to bump into the walls on both sides several times. Since she was

disobedient, he picked her up and carried her away. Soon, she was carried to the outside of the alley.

Quarmy pulled open the car door and pushed her into the car. He also came in.

"Quarmy, what's wrong with you?" Monica glared at him.

"Why do you have to get someone to smear me?"

"Smear you?" Monica was baffled. When did she do it? "You're not joking, are you?"

"Don't deny it! Do you dare to say that the comments on the Internet weren't caused by you?" Quarmy

stared at her.

Monica was so busy that she didn't look through the comments on the Internet. Summer told her that

someone was attacking her online, but things had been settled. According to Quarmy, it seemed that

the comments posted online were done by Summer.

Then it was also related to her. Monica sneered and said, "Can you be a little more specific, President

Huo? What did I smear you with?"
