I was about to go to sleep but I just couldn’t close my eyes knowing that Ale was still out with Jake. Jealousy ate me until I decided to follow her. I won’t meddle with their affairs, I just want to make sure that she would be safe tonight.

How lucky that bastard is to be loved by her that much?

I chose to wear the summer attire she gave me last time. I smiled while I was looking at the mirror. It fits perfectly fine to me. How did she manage to buy me such a cute gift? So sweet!

I strolled in the darkness and in the cold night. I was not sure where Jake’s house was located. I was just strolling feeling the night mood on the shore. Then I thought of asking Cleofe and she even volunteered to drop me there.

There were only a few visitors when I arrived. I just hid in the coconut tree nearby as I watched them laugh, eat, and sing. Then, I saw Ale with a group of men, with Jake. I guess they were teasing them. They laughed so hard that it almost broke my eardrum. A few moments, I saw Ale kiss Jake on the cheeks as their friends were rooting for them.

It was also the time that Ale glanced in my direction as I stormed away like a hurricane trying not to cause any scene. I am just a stranger in this place and I do not have the right to ruin their night. Even if mine was already ruined, never mind that.

I walked as fast as I can. I was badly hurt and I was jealous. Damn! I do not have the right to feel this way, too.

” Zach!” Aleia shouted. I did not listen.” Wait for me!” she continued. When I looked back, I can see that she was trying to catch me. So, I decided to stop and to wait for her as I am also tired of walking away.

” Is the party over?” I asked when she was in front of me already. She was trying to gasp for air that she cannot even breathe properly.

” I thought you were not coming but why are you here, alone? You could have told me,” she answered while combing her hair with her hand.

She did not answer instead she looked at me from head to foot. She was grinning from ear to ear while looking at me.” What?” I asked smiling too.

She just smiled and wet his lips. I swallowed hard. She looked so sexy with that gesture- that I always imagine myself biting that pouty lips of hers and making her feel how much I badly want her.

” You look good… with these?” she said referring to the summer pair she bought for me.” That was an understatement. You look like a star. A star that we would just look up to. Unreachable to everyone.”

I came closer to her and held her waist feeling her closer to my body, inhaling her addicting scent, stroking her hair .” I am beyond your reach now. You can hold me and touch me.”

She smiled bitterly and traced my lips with her fingers. I silently gasped for air while staring intensely at her. Her hand moved upward caressing my cheek with his thumb.

” Until when Zach? You don’t belong here with us. I knew you belong somewhere. One day, you’re going to leave me,” she said. “And I will be left with just the memory of you.”

It’s my turn to return the favor. I traced her lips with my finger as she was staring at me passionately. Her eyes piercing to my soul. She looked familiar. I just don’t know where I have seen her.

“You can come with me if you want, Ale. Be my girl,” I said, moving closer to her lips, ready to claim and brand it as mine the moment she will say yes.

” How I wish life is as simple as that.” She looked away and walked ahead of me. I sighed and clenched my fist.

” Yeah, I know. You can’t just leave him like that. You loved him that much, huh!” I hissed as I grabbed her wrist.” Stop walking away from me.”

She looked at me with much confusion.” What are you saying? I don’t know what are you trying to point out,” she said and grabbed her wrist.

“That man whom you loved secretly. Is it Jake? Is he the reason why you can’t come with me?”

“Hell, no! It’s not Jake and I’m sorry I can’t tell you who he is. Today is not the right time, yet. It’s getting late, let us go home.”

” You go ahead. I want to be alone,” I said and it was me who left her there. I walked without looking back! When I decided to look back, she was not there anymore. I shrugged. Then, maybe she went back to the party. Lucky man!

I did not know how long I walked in the middle of the night. Alone! Then I remember something. What’s the use of my money If I can’t have the woman I want.

The rain poured, making the thin fabric of my clothes soaked in rainwater. I even hugged myself due to cold. Loneliness hit me! Yeah, I am rich but I have no one who’s gonna stay by my side in a moment like this. Tsk!

“Zach! Zach!” I paused for a while to listen to the voice. It was not clear but I’m sure it was Zach that I hear. The rain poured harder making everything blurry.

“Ale! Aleia!” I called back after realizing that no one knows me here except her. Then I saw her appear from somewhere, also wet because of the rain. Her shirt hugged her body and her hair is dripping wet. She ran towards me.” Why are you still here? I thought you went home already.”

“God, I was worried about you, Zach. Sorry, if I did not follow you. I went back to get Ryder and came here to pick you up,” she said while cupping my face.

I was not able to control myself. I pulled her closer to me and claimed her lips like a hungry predator as she was responding me with the same energy.

” Ale, I want you so bad.”
