Neera fue al centro de investigacion y hablo con la gente de alli. Después de eso, fue

al Hospital Grace.

Isabella se alegré mucho cuando recibid la llamada telefonica de Neera. Rapidamente fue al vestibulo para recibirla.

“iPor fin has vuelto a Kingsview, Neera! jTe extrafio mucho!” Isabella exclamd.

emocionada y abrazo a Neera con fuerza.

La ultima vez que se vieron fue antes de que Neera abandonara el pais. Isabella le habia pedido a Neera que regresara varias veces, pero Neera nunca acepto.

Ahora que Neera habia aparecido repentinamente ante ella sin previo aviso,

no pudo evitar decir enojada: “;Por qué no volviste a Kingsview y me visitaste durante tantos afios? {Quizas me haya olvidado de ti! ¢ Todavia piensas en mi como un amigo?

Neera sabia que Isabella solo se estaba burlando de ella. Ella tom6 sus manos y sonrid.

“Si no te hubiera considerado un amigo, no habria venido a buscarte sdlo unos dias

después de mi regreso permanente’, dijo.

Fueron a la oficina de Isabella y charlaron.

Después de las bromas iniciales, Isabella dijo: “He estado tratando de que regreses a Kingsview, pero siempre te has negado. {Qué te hizo regresar esta vez? 4 Paso

Neera no oculté sus objetivos a Isabella. “Regresé para ayudar a mi tia a administrar

Isabella sabia lo complicada que era la situacion familiar de Neera. Ella asintio y dijo: “Si. Eso es lo que te deben y tu debes tomar lo que por derecho te pertenece. 4 Pero

eso significa que te mudaras a Kingsview permanentemente? jGenial! ; Por qué no vienes a trabajar a mi hospital cuando estés libre?

Neera inicialmente se nego, pero Isabella no acepté nada.

“iNo me importa! Te he guardado un puesto. Me has rechazado suficientes veces mientras estabas en Essley, pero ahora que has vuelto, jno voy a dejar que te escapes! Ademas, necesito pedirte

un gran favor...”

Neera sabia que Isabella no abandonaria el tema si no estaba de acuerdo, asi que asintio

y dijo: “Esta bien, esta bien, escucharé lo que dices. 4 Que necesitas de mi?”

“Tengo un paciente con un tumor cerebral importante que es necesario extirpar. Se estima que las posibilidades de éxito de la operacion son inferiores al 30 por ciento...” Isabella comenzo a

explicarle su situacién a Neera.

“Debes saber que vengo de una familia de médicos, , verdad? Las luchas internas han sido muy intensas durante los ultimos dos afios. {Mi padre ha sido marginado gradualmente y esta

a punto de perder el control de este hospital ante mi prima! Esta operacion sera mi ultima oportunidad de salvar a mi padre. Si tengo éxito, seré la futura directora del hospital, pero si fracaso... Neera entendio lo que Isabella queria decir, aunque no termino la

frase.

Si la operacion fracasaba, Isabella quedaria fuera de la lucha por el

control del hospital.

“El deber del médico es salvar vidas y prefiero no involucrarme en politica, pero este

hospital es el trabajo de toda la vida de mi padre y no quiero que caiga en manos de otra persona”. Neera sintié pena por Isabella. Podia imaginar cuantos adversarios tuvo que enfrentar

en su propia familia.

“| didn’t know you were facing such a serious problem. Why didn’t you tell me earlier?” she said.

Isabella smiled wryly. “I didn’t want to trouble you, but | don’t have any other choice... Also, you're the only doctor who can raise the chances of success of this operation to

be above 60 percent.”

Neera nodded and agreed to it without a second thought. “Don’t worry. | will help you Chapter 33 I’ll Treat You Better

with the operation.”

Isabella’s eyes welled up with tears of gratitude. “You're so nice to me, Neera. Thank you!”

Neera squeezed her hand and smiled warmly. “You don’t have to thank me. I’m always grateful for what you did for me.”

Six years ago, when Neera was locked in the research laboratory, Isabella was the one who saved her and her children.

Neera practically owed Isabella her life. That was why she would do everything she could to help Isabella.

The two women continued to discuss the patient’s condition. Isabella handed Neera the medical records and related documents.

“These are the complete medical records of the patient. You can browse through them whenever you're free,” Isabella said.

Neera nodded and said. “Alright. I'll take a look at them after | get home.”

Isabella thought for a while before asking for Neera’s permission. “Also, I’d like to announce to the public that the legendary Dr. Nancy will be performing the operation. Is that okay? That way, | can convince my elders to let me handle this operation!” Chapter 33 I'll Treat You Better

Neera accepted the idea. After all, she would be wearing a surgical mask, and no one would know who she was!

After deciding on the matter, Neera left Isabella’s office with the documents.

When she arrived home, the triplets surrounded her excitedly.

Harvey took Neera’s briefcase from her hand and placed it away. “Mommy, is your work going smoothly?”

Neera’s heart melted when she saw the three adorable children. She smiled and nodded. “Mn, it’s going smoothly.”

-Sammy held a game controller in one hand. He took Neera’s hand with his other hand and led her to the sofa. “You must be tired, Mommy. Why don’t you rest for a while?” Penny climbed up the sofa and curled in her lap. “Mommy, did you visit Godmother earlier? Why didn’t she come here with you?”

Neera cuddled the little girl and smiled.

“She's still busy now. | told her to come and visit you three whenever she’s free.”

“Yay!” The triplets cheered. “We haven't seen her for so long. We miss her!”

Neera preparé el almuerzo para los trillizos. Después del almuerzo, llevo a los nifios a sus habitaciones para que tomaran
