ontana’s Pov

“Sam”I called from behind.

She jerked back and glanced back and sighed when she saw me.

“Gosh. You scared me. When did you arrive”she asked as she browsed through the closet.

“Can.. can I ask you something…”I said nervously and nipped at my bottom lip.

“Of course”she rolled her eyes and removed an hanger and scrutinized the cloth that was hung on it.

She moved closer to me and placed it on my skin.

“I think this looks good”she muttered and checked it on my body also.

“Okay. It looks nice for the show”she smiled.

Huh?

“Wait, today is the show?”I scoffed.

“Of course. Don’t tell me you’ve forgotten”Sam replied and turned around.

“Okay, I really don’t feel like going to the show today”I huffed.

“Okay, you really have to go”she replied.

“Geez, Sam. I’ve got something to think about something. Darrel said he loves me so I have to find out about the feelings I have for him before giving him and answer which is positive already, I want to ask you if I won’t look cheap if i give him an answer tommorow”I blurted out.

Sam stopped what she was doing and glanced back at me with a puzzled face.

“Darrel?, who’s Darrel..”she asked.

I suddenly felt embarrassed and took my face away.

I literally let everything out.

Sam suddenly gasped and I turned to her.

“It’s all making sense now. In the lobby, the guy, you went to his house the other day also and… yesterday?… yes..”she gibbered.

I gulped hard and bowed my head.

“Oh my God, I’ve had it all figured out”Sam said.

I slowly raised my head up.

“Promise not to let my parents know about this”I said and she scoffed.

“I’m definitely going to tell them”she replied absent mindedly.

“You can’t tell them, Sam!”I whined.

“Why??”

“Just..”I was interrupted by a vibrating sound.

Sam stared at me before dipping her hand in her trouser pocket.

She slipped her phone out and when she glanced at the screen, she looked up at me.

I threw a quizzical look at her and she shook her head.

She picked the call..

*Hello, sir*

*Yes, sir. She’s here with me*

*Yes, I’m already getting her prepared for it*

*Oh, okay, sir*

*Sure*

She said on the phone before hanging up and then turning to me.

“That was your dad”she said.

“Yeah, I know. Why did he called?”I asked.

“Hm, he said you should come to his company before going to the show”

“Uhh… why is that?..”I questioned.

“Do you expect me to know that”Sam scoffed.

“Anyway, he said you will head to the show from his company”she added.

“Gosh”I mumbled and walked out of the dressing room.

I got to the room and saw my phone screen blinking out light.

I walked to it and glanced down at it on the bed.

Huh?

It was a call from Darrel.

I grabbed it and received the call.

“I thought you were ignoring my calls”Darrel’s voice rang out.

“I wasn’t in the room before”I answered.

“Hmm, me?. Well, yes. I have a show to attend”I replied him nervously.

“Can I take you there?”

“Oh, no. It isn’t necessary since I’ll be going with the guards and I am going to visit just dad’s company on my way”I explained.

“Then let’s me be your driver for today and I will only take you to the show, I won’t be taking you back”he said.

“B.. but, the guards..”I stuttered and slapped my forehead.

Why I’m I suddenly short of words.

“They will also be following us so no problem”he replied.

“Alright. Fine”I sighed.

“Yeah. You will see me soon..”he said and dropped the call.

I smiled and drop my phone on the bed then started preparing for the show.

I walked down the stairs with Sam trailing behind me.

We got outside to the garage and the guards were all ready.

I huffed and checked at my phone screen again.

He said he will soon be here but here I am and he’s yet to arrive.

“Okay. Get in your ride”Sam said from behind.

“No. I’m waiting for Darrel. He said he will come pick me up”I replied.

“Oh, that guy. Why…”Sam hasn’t finish her words when a car horned from the other side of the gate and I beamed.

That’s him.

“He’s here, Sam.”I said.

“Yeah…”she drawled out…

“Open the gate”I gestured to the man at the gate..

He nodded and opened the gate up and Darrel’s car drove in.

He stopped the car beside me and whined down his louvers and grinned at me.

“Get in, princess”

I blushed and I heard Sam scoff behind me.

I got in and the guards tried coming to the car but Sam stopped them and explained to them.

They nodded and glance back at me before going to occupy the other cars.

“Okay. Are you ready?. I’m a rough driver if you must know, ma’am”he said curtly and I smiled.

“I’m ready”

He ignited the engine and drove out of the compound and the other cars followed us behind.

“Do you need a compliment?”he asked as he drove on the road.

“No”I replied.

“You look hot though”he winked at me through the rearview mirror..

My face reddened and I quickly stared out of the window.

Surprisingly, Darrel didn’t ask for directions from me until we’ve reached my dad’s company.

He glanced back at me and released a smile.

“So, I have something to say to you”he said.

“Uhm?.. what?”I asked eagerly.

He just looked at me for a while without saying any words.

“Don’t worry. It’s nothing important”he said.

Okay?..

“Sure”I replied and opened the car then stepped down.

“Bye”he said and I nodded.

I glanced up at the tower before I started walking towards it with the guards behind me.
