Chapter 48.
“Squeeze my ear or I’ll squeeze yours, Lilian…” Vanessa repeated the second time.
Lilian stepped back smiling, she couldn’t believe the Vanessa she knows now had the guts to talk back at her.
“I can see how courageous you are now. You now talk back at me anyhow you like… scream at me huh.. because Xavier threatened me because of you.. or rather the children loves you…” Lilian uttered.
She gritted her teeth. “You shouldn’t be speaking back at me if this children aren’t close to you. I believe you understand what I mean.”
Vanessa shrugged her shoulders. She just quoted everything Lilian uttered to be totally wrong. She’s had already decided not to spare her a damn good look again if she dares her.
All this while she had been tackling her peace, she kept mute with due respect to Xavier. But as it stands, she isn’t gonna take it easy again, even if Xavier sacks her.
This job is not her means of survival, and so she wouldn’t tolerate Lilian again.
“Since you left this home, none of them have ever complained. And i believe you’re the reason they have been running away from me… because they think that I’m cruel like you are.” Nessa spluttered.
Her face twisted on grabbing the last statement she made. It bittered her heart.
She twitched towards her. Vanessa watched as she raised her right palm to land it on her cheek.
“Don’t dare it! Make an attempt… just make a mistake and see the hell you will pass through in my hands now.” Vanessa referred to her holding her arm in the air.
She was breathing so fast, so enraged at the moment… but Nessa didn’t care.
“Let go of my hand… you bitch.” She growled in anger.
Vanessa pulled her lips into an irritating smile letting go of her arm. “I should be the one to refer you as bitch… because that’s exactly what you are.”
“Go to hell…” Lilian screeched.
She laughed out moving to the sofa. “You’re already in hell… so I should be asking how it tastes.” She relaxed on the sofa.
Her eyes caught her handbag and she grabbed it getting on her feet. “Lest I forgot.” She paused and swallowed. “Don’t you ever… I’m sure you’re hearing me. Don’t you ever lay your filthy hands on this kids again… or you’ll see the other side of me.” She warned her.
Lilian stood immobile glaring at her and bitting her lips in agony. She couldn’t believe a mere babysitter would shun her in the presence of those kids she had hated.
It’s just like a dream to her, Vanessa scolded her like a servant in a home that will soon be hers.
That’s it… this is one of the reasons her hatred towards her will never quench. She is so reckless to be in her presence.
She turned back to the sofa and then got seated on it trying to concentrate on the ongoing movie… but her mind wasn’t at place… she was so furious that she felt like strangling Vanessa with her bare palms.
The inside of her was burning and she wasn’t happy at all.

Vanessa did her usual chores, she made sure she prepared the dinner herself… cuddle Chloe to bed before leaving that night.
She wasn’t able to meet Xavier… thanks to heaven she didn’t meet her too… because with the way she felt she wouldn’t hesitate to tell him all that had happened in the evening time… but one thing she’s just trying to avoid is causing troubles between the two lovers.
She wouldn’t want them to separate all because of her… she left him before Xavier had returned but the keys had gone to bed at that time.

The next day****
There were a lot of customers in Vanessa’s bakery. She had sold a lot after coming back from Xavier’s residence.
Even when she met Lilian, she didn’t bother exchanging greetings with her… because the hatred she had towards her this time was so intense… and she wouldn’t want her to step on her toes again.Content is © by NôvelDrama.Org.
She may be sure to prepare Chloe for school before returning back to her bakery… Meanwhile, there were lots of her patrons waiting for her to arrive.
She began baking more and more cakes which she needed for the orders she had got. She needed to be fast in order to meet up with time.
After attending to the patrons around her, she decided to leave in order to deliver the second round of orders she got at noon.
She locked up her bakery and was about stucking the orders in her bike when a hand tapped her back drawing her attention.
She turned to see the dude standing beside her. “What’s it now? I’m owing you huh? What do you want from me…?” She threw multiple questions at him.
Yes! she can remember the face…she recalled the last time they met and how he requested a date with her.
But then, she hasn’t thought about that all these days because she didn’t have time for such a thing.
“You again! I can remember everything about the past day, but I haven’t thought about them.” She referred to the young man standing beside her.
Jasper smiled at her, but she didn’t bother to return the smile.
“I asked you just a simple question but you aren’t giving me an answer to it.” She retorted.
Jasper gripped her palm. “But you aren’t supposed to ask me such a question when you know me so well and the reason for my coming here.”
She shrugged her shoulders. “It’s just okay… as you can see, I’m in a hurry now. I have to go deliver the orders I got before it’s too late.”
” Wow! That sounds nice though… wouldn’t you mind getting into the car so I can drop you off?” Jasper gestured referring to her.
She shook her head disagreeing with that. “You don’t need to worry, I have a bike that I do use to deliver my orders.”
He knitted his brows. “It’s ok then since you persist in not needing my help, but wouldn’t you mind giving me an answer to my request before leaving.” he pouted his lips.
“I don’t really know when we are going to meet again for today, you might return so late to meet me.” He added.
Vanessa licked her lips, she didn’t know what to give as a reply.
Probably, she’s a very busy person who doesn’t have time for going out… talk more about going on a date with a young man.
She stretched her lips. “Well, I don’t just want to turn down your request… that’s because mere looking at me I hardly bring out time for such things. But since you insist, I think I will have to give in to granting your request but on one condition.”
Jasper furrowed his brows wondering what the condition is all about. “Anything, just say anything that will be the condition… I am ready to imply.”
She coughed slightly. “Even if I leave with you on a date , the world won’t be aware of it.”
“Come on, I adhere to that.” He replied chuckling within him.
“I’ll have to take my leave then.” Vanessa uttered stepping out of the bakery.
Her eyes met with that of Chloe who had that sad expression on her face. The little girl stared at Jasper, and then at Vanessa.
She didn’t say a word, rather she turned back and leave.
Vanessa tried as much as she could to draw back her attention, but it wasn’t possible for her.
