Chapter 69 What Is This, Pig Feed?
Chapter 69 What Is This, Pig Feed?
The wardrobe in the closet was filled with suits and shirts, and even the shoes were almost all black.
I couldn't see clothes in other styles, except for suits.
I casually picked up a white shirt and quickly put it on.
Since I couldn't wear my own clothes, I could only take one of his. I didn't want to be naked in his
house for the rest of the day.
Brandon's shirt was oversize for me. It went past my thighs when I put it on. Although I looked a bit
strange, it was better than being naked.
When I came downstairs, Brandon was sitting in the living room. His legs were elegantly crossed. Even
from a distance, I could feel the innate nobility from him.
Hearing my footsteps, Brandon turned around. When he saw me wearing his clothes, he frowned
tightly.
I looked into his eyes and suddenly remembered that Brandon had OCD. Was he blaming me for
wearing his shirt?
"I can't wear my clothes, so I can only wear yours for the time being. But don't worry, after I get home, I
will wash your clothes and return it to you."
I looked at Brandon in a panic and quickly explained. After all, I hadn't asked him for permission
beforehand, so I felt a little guilty.
His eyes were still looking me up and down. I couldn't figure out what he was thinking, which made me
even even more nervous.
"Fine, I'll take it off now."
I lowered my head and said these words gloomily. Then I turned around and was about to went
upstairs.
Brandon was really petty. So what if I just wore his shirt? It wasn't like I'll ruin it!
Just as I was about to go upstairs, Brandon's voice came again. "Since you're already wearing it, keep
it on. I didn't say anything."
When Brandon said this, his tone was light. I turned around and looked at him with excitement, feeling
inexplicably happy.
"What are you still doing there? Hurry up and cook. Are you waiting for me to cook?"
Just as I was about to walk towards Brandon, his voice rang out again.
I paused, looked at him with some dissatisfaction, and said, "Don't you have a housekeeper? Why do
you need me to cook?"
Brandon looked at me impatiently. "Hollie, you talk too much. My housekeeper isn't here today. Go and
cook!"
Since he had said so, I had no other excuse to refuse him.
Sighing helplessly, I walked towards the kitchen.
Coming to the refrigerator in the kitchen, I opened it and saw that there were very few ingredients
inside. There were just some tomatoes and eggs.
"Say, don't you usually need to eat? There are barely any ingredients in the fridge."
I glanced at the ingredients in the refrigerator and said to Brandon helplessly.
"I'm out almost every day, so I rarely eat at home."
Brandon sat in the living room drinking coffee. After hearing what I said, he answered lightly.
I pursed my lips speechlessly. How did he have such a strong body when he never eats his meals on
time?
I cursed in my heart. I wasn't sure what to do now. What can I cook with only tomatoes and eggs?
After struggling for a long time in the kitchen, I finally showed my ability—pasta.
When I was busy with work in the past, I didn't want to spend too much energy on cooking, so I often
cooked pasta.
I made a simple sauce with the tomatoes and served it with some pasta noodles.
"Alright, it's time to eat." I took off my apron and said to Brandon, who was still reading in the living
room.
Hearing my voice, he put down the book in his hand and walked towards me.
The corners of his mouth were slightly curved, which made him look particularly charming.
But when he came to me and saw the food on the table, his face darkened.
"Is this it? This is all you've cooked after spending so long in the kitchen?"
He pointed at one of the plates of pasta on the table and looked at me in disbelief. There was doubt in
his voice.
"This is all there is. Why are you asking? I would prepare more if you had more ingredients, but
unfortunately, this is all you have."
I pursed my lips and said this. Then I pulled a plate of pasta towards myself and put on half of the
sauce on the plate.
Brandon's frown deepened when he saw what I was doing. He looked at me with disdain.
"Hollie, what are you doing? Is this pig feed?"
Pig feed? What was he talking about? I spent so much effort cooking for him, and he said that my food
was pig feed? This was too much.
"Brandon, what do you mean by this? If you don't want to eat, tell me earlier. Don't waste my time."
Although the dinner was a little simple, I had prepared it very carefully. I felt a little upset by his
contempt.
"It's not that I don't want to eat, but how am I supposed to eat this?"
Brandon crossed his arms over his chest and looked at me with some dissatisfaction.
I glared at Brandon angrily and didn't want to say another word to him. I sat down and began to eat.
I hadn't had lunch earlier and I was starving. A simple plate of tomato pasta was enough for me.
When he saw me eating, Brandon's tightly furrowed brows tightened a little. After a while, he hesitated
when he saw me eating with gusto.
He sat opposite me and stared at the remaining half of the pasta, as if he was hesitating whether to eat
them or not.Text property © Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org.
"It's not as bad as you think. You can try it if you don't believe me."
I said.
He stared at me with some suspicion. After looking at me for a long time, he made up his mind and
stirred the sauce and pasta together as I did.
Seeing that he compromised even though he still looked disgusted, my mood inexplicably improved.
Brandon picked up a forkful of pasta and stared at it for a long time. Then he opened his mouth and
tried to eat a little. Perhaps it was not as bad as he thought, so he quickly ate it.
He ate fast, but he was elegant. It was the first time he had eaten the food I cooked. For some reason, I
had a sweet feeling in my heart.
The edges of my lips curled into a smile. I lowered my head and ate quietly. Very soon, both of our
bowls were empty.
