Devoted Love, Mr. Hayes’ Darling Wife

Chapter 125: The demons in the heart of Adán Rouco

Although Estrella Berrocal had some resistance inside her, she finally ran to the convenience store to buy her some panties on the authority of Adán Rouco.

When he arrived at the island convenience store, he looked at the row of men’s underwear on the racks and tried to reach for the black ones, but changed his mind halfway through and bought two pairs of floral ones.

Adam Rouco’s daily attire was either black, white and gray or white and black and gray, and these floral briefs would be interesting to wear!

Estrella Berrocal almost laughed out loud at the image she had just evoked.

When they returned to the hotel, Estrella Berrocal handed him his new pants: “Here, these are for you.

Adán Rouco looked at the color of the underwear and frowned, it was floral and red, it didn’t fit her very well.

The man grabbed her around the waist and asked, “Did you do this on purpose?”

She took a step back and blurted out, “How am I supposed to know what color panties you like to wear, I bought them at random.”

“Didn’t you see them last night when you took them off?”

“…”

Estrella Berrocal was embarrassed, her little face flushed with shame.

Adán Rouco unwrapped the disposable panties and put them in his hand, saying with a look of circumstance: “Since you bought them, put them on me”.

“…”

Estrella Berrocal almost dripping blood, what the hell kind of logic was that?

“You, you take your clothes off and you don’t put them on yourself? I don’t want to…”

“I’m hurt.”

“It’s not like you hurt your hand!”

She had hurt her back, where did that stop her from wearing her underwear?

Adán Rouco looked at her openly, his slender wrist drooping downward, “Now it’s broken.”

“…”

It was clear that he was making fun of her!

Adán Rouco and Estrella Berrocal were washing up and heading to the hotel restaurant for breakfast when they met Demario Alejandro at the entrance of the restaurant.

“What a coincidence, Estrella, are you also coming for breakfast at this time? We’re going to join you.”

Demario Alejandro had eaten with Estrella Berrocal since they had been group mates for two days, but with the sudden arrival of Adán Rouco, Demario Alejandro had not changed his identity for some time.

Estrella Berrocal had always had a very thick skin in such trivial matters, so she didn’t mind and agreed: “Yes, we have two more days on the island and we can go diving together when we finish eating.”

As soon as the words left his mouth, he felt a cold chill in his side.NôvelDrama.Org owns © this.

Estrella Berrocal unconsciously looked up at the man next to her, but Adán Rouco, with his handsome face, glanced at her and then entered the restaurant with his hands in his pockets.

Demario Alejandro, a heterosexual man with little emotional intelligence, asked incredulously, “Is your boyfriend in a bad mood?”

Estrella Berrocal laughed awkwardly: “He … he’s like that, he’s a bit boring”.

The restaurant is self-service and Adán Rouco, standing by the porridge bucket, frowns at Estrella Berrocal, who is still talking to Demario Alejandro, and calls out to her in a cold voice: “Estrella, come here.”

Estrella Berrocal, suddenly called, hurried over to Adán Rouco and, with great diligence, fetched the bowl and handed it to him, deliberately changing the subject by asking, “What are your favorite porridges?”

But in all the time she had known him, she didn’t seem to know much about his tastes and preferences.

The last time he had gone with Olivia Montes to buy food for her, she had taken his favorite tuna sandwich with such precision and displayed it before her, even Olivia Montes knew his preferences very well, but she, as his girlfriend, knew nothing of his preferences.

But the man was serving rice porridge with an iron spoon, ignoring her completely, and when he saw her serving a bowl of millet porridge, he asked her with a crooked little face, “Do you like millet porridge?”

Adán Rouco continued to ignore her, walking away to get another meal.

Was he really angry that she had agreed to let Demario Alejandro accompany them?

“If you don’t like it, I’ll tell Demario Alejandro that we’re not going with him.”

Adam Rouco’s dark eyes looked up to see a middle-aged aunt behind her with hot porridge, her eyes not looking at the road, and Adam Rouco hurried to pull her into his arms.

Estrella Berrocal’s face slammed into the man’s firm chest and, over the noise of the cafeteria, she could hear the loud, reassuring beat of his heart.

Adán Rouco gave a cold warning to the middle-aged aunt and Estrella Berrocal looked up from his arms with a little red face. “I’m fine, don’t be so tense.”

He raised his hand and jabbed two fingers on her thin lips, gesturing for her to smile, Adán Rouco spoke only in a nonchalant voice: “Go and find a seat.”

She nodded, not forgetting to give instructions, “I like purple potato porridge, so remember to pour me some.”

By the time Adán Rouco had gathered his food and approached, Demario Alejandro was already seated at the table with them.

Estrella Berrocal explained: “The table is full and Demario Alejandro is occupying it, so we are going to share it with him, there is no room”.

The mood on Adán Rouco’s face was unmistakable, he had always eaten without saying anything, Demario Alejandro was a chatterbox, he would talk to Estrella Berrocal about what he was going to do next, and Estrella Berrocal, out of courtesy, could not avoid answering.

Adán Rouco picked up a spring roll and shoved it in Estrella Berrocal’s mouth: “Seriously, eat”.

Estrella Berrocal bit into the spring roll and closed her mouth in silence.

Adam Rouco’s aura was so strong and cold that Demario Alejandro did not dare to say anything else.

After breakfast, Estrella Berrocal took Adán Rouco to the beach with her.

Arriving at the beach, Estrella Berrocal deliberately said, “We finally got rid of that light bulb, why don’t we go snorkeling later? There are beautiful lakes and fish in the sea, and it would be perfect if we could take a picture together in the sea.”

She took Adam Rouco’s hand and stepped on the fine sand of the beach with her sandals, and when she looked up at him, she noticed that his face was cold and white and his face embarrassed.

“What’s the matter, does your back wound still hurt, are we going to the clinic now?”

With that, she raised her hand to probe his forehead, only to have him withdraw it with a frown, “I’m fine.”

The clear blue sea was spectacularly beautiful to ordinary mortals, but to him it was more like a persistent nightmare.

Estrella Berrocal had been careful since morning for fear of upsetting him. “If you don’t feel well, shall we go back to rest?”.

Adam Rouco stared into her face and for no apparent reason another face came to mind that overlapped the one in front of him, his brow furrowed fiercely and his face grew cold as he let go of her hand. “I’m going to go to the shore for a while.”

With those words, the man turned and headed for the shore.

Estrella Berrocal stood on the beach, staring blankly, bewildered.

Was he still angry with her?

But what had she done to anger him?

Adán Rouco put his hand in his pants pocket as he walked to the shore, but there was no cigarette, it was empty.

There was a small grocery store next door, so he bought a pack of cigarettes and a lighter and stood on the shore, in an inconspicuous spot, smoking for quite a while.

The sound of the waves in his ears and the sea in front of him made him irritated and restless.

Even the fingers holding the cigarette trembled slightly.

“Analena Lozada is dead! It’s all your fault!”

“Adán Rouco, if you had not done what you did, Analena Lozada would not be a cold corpse now!”

The cold voices stirred in his mind, and he closed his eyes deeply, pressing his forefinger and thumb hard against the sparks from the cigarette butt.
