Dear Ex-wife Marry Me

Chapter 1862

He thought he was just going to ruffle lan's feathers a bit, show him that the Sanders family wouldn't be walked over. But no sooner had he settled his butt into the chair than Augus's voice cut through the air. "Quinn, you're gonna be set up on some blind dates. Day after tomorrow, you're coming back to North America with me. Your brother's got his hands full running the family business, and as for you? You've been loafing around long enough. Time to get serious about settling down. I want you hitched within three months, so you can focus on finding the one when we get back."

Beck's head started buzzing like a beehive at the thought.

"C'mon, Dad, even big bro isn't married yet. What's the rush for me?"

As the words left his mouth, Augus slammed his hand on the table.

"Have the nerve to bring up your brother? While Court's been busting his chops at the company, you've been throwing money around on women like there's no tomorrow. You best listen up, I'm giving you more than enough time with three months."

Beck shot a desperate look at Dylan for help.

Dylan pretended not to see the SOS. If Beck didn't go on these dates, then he'd be next in line. This content is © NôvelDrama.Org.

Fuming, Beck glanced at lan, who was nonchalantly serving veggies to Maja. Even a fool could see he'd been played.

But Augus had spoken, and there was no choice but to follow suit.

The thought of blind dating made his head ache.

By the end of dinner, everyone seemed pleased-everyone, that is, except for Beck.

Augus left with the professor to tour around Greenfield, while Maja, feeling drowsy from pregnancy, excused herself early.

Only Beck lay awake, anxiety gnawing at him.

He made several calls to Dylan, trying to get him to talk Augus out of this matchmaking madness. But Dylan, ever the businessman, knew better.

Better Beck than him.

And so, he ignored the calls.

Beck tried reaching out to Maja for support, but it was always lan who answered, deliberately changing the subject to avoid any talk of matchmaking in front of Maja.

When the final day arrived, Augus practically dragged Beck back home for the arranged meetings.

With Beck gone, lan couldn't have been happier-no more early morning intrusions at Greenfield Gardens to irk him.

No more dragging Maja into discussions about secret levels in games.

He poured all his energy into Maja, eagerly awaiting their child's arrival.

But after work one day, a text from Felix popped up.

"What have you guys prepared for the baby?"

lan frowned, scrutinizing the message as if it were a mirage.

Felix, the guy who hardly ever spoke up, had actually initiated a conversation.

"Why do you ask?"

lan wasn't fond of Felix, knowing that getting too chummy with him would surely put him on Maja's chopping block.

"Note-taking. Don't want to be

"lan, we're gonna be dads. You get where I'm coming from, right?"

The sharpness in lan softened as he read the message.

He screenshotted the list of baby items he'd prepared and sent it over. He had personally taken charge of all baby-related purchases, so his order history was clear as day.

After sending the info, Felix sent another text. "Feeling a bit pumped. Fancy a drink together?" Felix inviting him out was out of character.

But reflecting on his recent demeanor, lan had to chuckle. Having weathered many storms, he deeply appreciated the warmth of the present. His usual outward edge had softened into a tenderness for life Maybe Felix was feeling the same way.
