Deadly Affairs

“Oh my God. She’s dead.” Ryan said as he checked her pulse.

He turned to Natasha but she was barely moving. She just stood like a statue and kept staring at the dead body with fear and anxiety written all over her face.

What was he expecting? Is not really normal to wake up to see a dead body at your doorstep plus her name was imprinted on the body. And the most suspicious thing about it was the words that were imprinted on the body.

It was more like a death threat but surprisingly it was coming from her ex husband. Ryan was able to tell because of the “MY DARLING WIFE” written on the body.

“Is that the reason she was so shocked and scared when she saw her ex husband at the ball? Is that why she was so agitated and wanted to head home very quick that day?” He thought to himself.

“Wait, that same day, was around the time the fire started in the Roberts home. Their deaths obviously wasn’t an accident because I got a death threat from someone on the day of my accident and that person partially confessed to being responsible for their deaths.”

“And then, there’s a stalker that has been following Natasha wherever she goes. Could he be the one? Could it be her ex husband?” Ryan asked himself.

Staring at Natasha, he was sure that she knew something. He just needed her to open up to him but he wasn’t really sure she would. First things first, he already had a suspect in mind so all he could do now is call the police.

~Minutes later~

Ryan and Natasha were currently at the police station. They had given their statements and Sarah’s body had been carried away probably to open an investigation because the police already knew Ryan and Natasha were clean after checking the cctv camera at Natasha’s house.

They were able to see someone dropping off the body but they couldn’t see the person’s face because he covered it. They couldn’t even track him because he used an alley without cctv cameras as his escape route.

Natasha could still feel her body shaking in fear after all that she had seen. Even though she despised Sarah for all that she had did to her family, she never wished her death.

When she saw Jason and Sarah together and lovey dovey at the ball that night, she felt so angry and heartbroken that Jason would still be with her not knowing that she was suffering in the hands of Jason.

Thankfully, she was able to escape when she did but now, Jason is after her and he would stop at nothing to make her life miserable. What if she ends up like Sarah? Or what if the same things happens to Molly??

Her chest tightened when that thought crossed her mind. She couldn’t help but shed tears. What had she done to deserve all these? The only mistake she made was loving Jason. She bowed her head and continued crying heavily.

Ryan noticed her crying and started to pet her. He couldn’t help but feel pity. Thankfully, Molly wasn’t at home if not only God knows what would have happene. Now, he really needs to get the truth from Natasha. Though he already had a suspect in mind, he can’t be too sure.

“Natasha.” He called when she had settled down a little and she lifted up her head to stare at him. Her face was already puffy and her eyes red from all the tears she had shed.

The lifted his hands and used it to wipe away her tears from her face and patted her cheek lovingly.

“You know I’m always here for you right?” He asked and she nodded her head slowly.

“I want to gelp you. I want you do everything in my power to make you happy but I can’t do that if you don’t let me in.” He said.

I was expecting him to say that. Obviously, he was gonna demand an explanation after all that he had seen today.

I wanted to tell him, to share everything that I’m bottling up but the problem was that I was too scared. Too fucking scared to pour all my heart and fears to him.

After all that had happened, I really need to tell someone or I might go crazy. Grandma Shelly wasn’t here and my parents are no more so he’s the only one I can share my problems to right now.

I looked into his eyes and could only see love and affection in them. I decided to swallow up my fears and tell him everything that had happened from the beginning till now.

Ryan couldn’t bare the shock when she finally told him everything. Though he was expecting the ex husband to be the culprit, it was still really shocking to him. He never knew someone could be this heartless.

After explaining everything, Natasha bursted into another round of tears. Ryan held her in his arms as he pet her by stroking her back slowly and kept whispering words of consolation to her.

He couldn’t help but feel pity after all that she had passed through. Being in love with someone for years only to find out that they had been betraying and lying to you right from the very beginning.

When she finally wanted to leave, he didn’t let her go so he locked her up and molested her severally till she finally managed to escape. Now that she thought she could live a normal life, he came back again.

He killed her parents and still wants her to come back to him. He really is a psycho. Ryan could only hold crying Natasha tightly towards him as he vowed within himself to always protect her by all cost.

Even though it meant endangering his life. As long as he could finally put a genuine smile on her face, he would do anything and use all his resources to put that psycho behind bars.

Ryan could feel anger and hatred burning in him towards Jason. If only he had known right from the beginning, he would have made sure to lock him up before things had become this worse.

But that would be really impossible right now because he was sure Jason would he hidden himself now since all evidence already points to him. The question right now is that how did he manage to attack Natasha’s parents if he was also at the party with them.

They were still wrapped in each other’s arms when a police man walked up to them.

“Is there anything wrong?” Ryan asked when he saw him.

“No but there is something that you need to see. We are sure you’ll love it.” The police man answered.

“What is it?” Ryan asked again.

“We have finally been able to identify the culprit and there’s more….” Natasha stood up immediately when she heard that.

“Really??” She asked happily.

“Yes. We found a small memory card in the deceased trousers. We don’t really know how it got there but there are a lot of evidence in it and they are all pointing towards your ex husband and one Abigail.” The police man said.

“Abigail??” Natasha said as she exchanged shocked looks with Ryan.

“Can we see it??” Ryan asked.

“Sure.. follow me.” The policeman said as he led the way.

“There’s a lot of footages and voice notes in the memory card. I’m sure the deceased must have took it and hidden it in her clothes before who ever that killed her was able to.” The police man said as he played a recording.

I could clearly recognize the voices. It was Jason and Abigail. Since when did she start talking to him? How come I never noticed. I shivered in fear as they plotted how she would leave the door open and let Jason into the house.

Is that why I always wake up late those days? Is that the reason why I usually wake up with hickeys all over my body? Is he the same person that Abigail met with that day and lied that he was her boyfriend. Now that I recall, he gave her something and the next day, she drugged Ryan and tried to rape him.

So, Jason was the one that sent her. She had been working with my worst nightmare and I didn’t even notice it at all. I could feel a shiver run down my spine.

As if that wasn’t enough, the police man clicked on a video. It was the same video that showed me murdering my parents but this time, the face belonged to Abigail.

What the hell!! How could she???

Ryan could feel me getting worked up so he tried to calm me down but I wasn’t listening to him. Jason sent her and she killed my parents. The same people that were always nice to her and treated her like she was their family but she murdered them in cold blood.

Why would she do that? How could she. How long has she been working with him?? That means that Jason had always been with me but I never knew. How could they do this to me??

There were more evidence but I couldn’t bare to watch nor listen to them. I turned my face and went back into the lobby. I felt like I was going really crazy.

I trusted Abigail. I even put my own daughter in her care but all she could use to pay me back is her betrayal. How long has she been in touch with Jason? I was literally going crazy and all she could do was work with the same man that made me this way.

I kept getting a nagging feeling that there was something off somewhere. Finding the evidence was too easy. I know Jason, he is very thorough in whatever he was doing.

He was able to orchestrate my parent’s death and no one could suspect him. I could feel that he was up to something bigger but I don’t know what it is. Molly.. I need to check how she is.

I picked up my phone and wanted to call Grandma Shelly when her call come in. I picked it up immediately. Before I could say anything, I heard her panicked voice.

“Natasha..” She called.

“Molly has been kidnapped!!”
