Chapter 87
Chapter 87
Seeing Sierra naked in bed, Dorian immediately averted his gare, moving to the edge of the bed to create some distance. As he tried to get up, he realized he was also naked.
Awakened by the commotion, Sierra moved closer, hoping to embrace him.
Her long hair partially obscured her petite face and beautiful breasts, though the hic keys on her porcelain-like skin were faintly visible.
“Don?”
Sierra, who had been neglected by Dorian, gared at him in bewilderment from her distant position. She wore a sweet and bashful smile as she asked, “Don, what’s the matter?”
Dorian’s mind went blank at the sight of her coy expressi
If his memory served him right, he should have been with Gisele last night. So, how could
“Don, if you want to act like last night didn’t happen. I can do that too,” Sierra’s voice interrupted his thoughts. She draped a thin blanket around herself, revealing the love marks on her neck
Dorian’s gaze intensified, a smile playing on his lips. “What happened last night?” he asked.
The only memory he retained from the previous night was Gisele’s incessant chatter in his ear, which had annoyed him so much that he silenced her with a kiss.
“Last night, Mr. Kiss and Gisele brought you back. I was waiting for you at Jefferson Manor to discuss the guest list for the charity gala. But when you returned…” Sierra blushed, ber face turning
shy and embarrassed.
“You i just picked me up and started kissing me. I tried to get you to drink some hangover remedy, but you refused and even said I was being noisy.”
“Boom-”
The sudden sound of thunder rumbled outside, causing Dorian’s face to pale considerably.
Sierra’s account didn’t match his recollection; he distinctly remembered it was Gisele who
had been noisy.
“Dorian, if you can’t remember, then don’t dwell on it. Just being with you is enough for me, “Sierra said, sitting up. The shy blush on her face faded, replaced by a paler hue. “You drank the hangover remedy, right? I made it especially for you. I’ll go take a shower first.”
As she left, the sound of running water filled the bathroom.
Dorian was still in shock, his gaze landing on the crimson stain in the center of the bed. So, it had been Sierra with him last night, not Gisele?
In the bathroom, Sierra stood beneath the shower, a smirk tugging at the corner of her lips as she pinched her fair skin.
She was consumed by resentment. If she had arrived earlier last night, she would have been the one with Dorian, and she wouldn’t be forced to pretend now.
After standing under the steaming water for half an hour, Sierra eventually emerged from the bathroom, fully dressed..
Meanwhile, Dorian had freshened up and changed into a black and white suit.
“Don, would
you mind accompanying me for some shopping? We’re in need of public donations for the gala, and I also have to find a suitable gown.” Content © NôvelDrama.Org 2024.
Sierra skillfully avoided any mention of the previous night’s events as she approached Dorian and leaned on his arm.
As Dorian gazed at Sierra’s bare face, thoughts of Gisele unexpectedly surfaced in his mind.
Despite the absence of cosmetics, Gisele’s skin was naturally flawless, complemented by delicate features. Her fair complexion boasted a healthy wheatish tone, unlike Sierra’s somewhat sickly pallor.
“Okay,” Dorian agreed with a nod. As they walked out together, he continued, “Sierra, I want to apologize for last night. I had planned to save that for our wedding night, and I realize now that I’ve hurt you.”
“Sierra had not expected him to broach the topic, so she was surprised when he brought it up
on his own.
Her earlier tension melted away, and she giggled, replying, “It’s okay, as long as you’re going to be my
husband.”
Dorian simply nodded in response, choosing to remain silent.
After a light lunch, they made their way to the mall.
As Dorian walked into the mall with Sierra, he spotted Gisele smiling and linking arms with Aspen. With several shopping bags in hand, it seemed she had completed her shopping and was about to leave.
Amidst the bustling crowd, Gisele immediately noticed Dorian. Her smile faltered slightly as

she observed how close he was to Sierra.
But to Dorian, her reaction seemed to convey a sense of unhappiness upon seeing him.
Once again, that unsettling feeling of being out of control washed over him.
He truly disliked feeling this sense of powerlessness.
