Darling, Please Love Me Again! (Gisele Meyer)

Chapter 47

Chapter 47

“What do you mean?” Gisele was genuinely confused. What had she done to receive such a response from Declan?

Declan thought she was shy about it, so he merely advised her to take care of her health while she was busy.

“Alright, Grandpa Declan. You should take care of yourself as well.” Gisele ended the call, still puzzled.

As she continued to eat her takeout, she belatedly realized that Declan had actually called to praise her for doing a wonderful job.

Did he actually think that she had set up a stall near Jefferson Group to attract Dorian’s

attention?

Gisele was somewhat bemused by the whole situation.

Jefferson Group Tower was located in the heart of Hearthfield’s central business district; it was was the most crowded and accessible place for people to set up stalls in the entire city.

Despite Declan’s misunderstanding, Gisele had no intention of explaining herself. She was simply focused on making more money.

She spent two days running her stall, selling all of her online store’s inventory.

Although she earned quite a lot of money, it paled in comparison to the hundreds of thousands of dollars Dorian had withheld from her.

As she manned her stall, Gisele mulled over the idea of selling the highly sought–after formula she had previously refined.

In the past, some companies had wanted to acquire her refined formula for beauty supplements.

Gisele had initially come up with it to cater to wealthy women. Although it came with a hefty price tag, the results were undeniable.

However, those wealthy women had thought that it was of low quality since it wasn’t from a high– end brands. In the end, it hadn’t sold well in the market.

Furthermore, when she had been approached by the pharmaceutical companies, all they had wanted to do was mass–produce it at a lower cost to achieve the effects she had marketed.

Gisele had immediately turned down their offer since she hadn’t wanted to compromise her.

integrity.

While she was feeling troubled, someone else was also going through a difficult time.

In just two short days, Dorian started to look extremely haggard. He was so agitated that he didn’t even bother to return to the manor, and he even ignored Sierra when she said she wanted to meet with him.

Dorian hid himself in the walk–in closet of his office lounge.

The closet was filled with the faint scent of the herbal sachets that only Gisele could concoct. Although it was very faint, it was better than nothing!

Jon suddenly reported from the entrance of the closet, “Mr. Jefferson, Ms. McMillan has

arrived.”

Dorian, who had finally managed to fall asleep, was roused from his slumber. He opened his bloodshot eyes and pushed open the closet door, his gaze flickering as he glanced at Jon

several times.

However, Jon remained indifferent.

Dorian had always appreciated Jon for being taciturn and straightforward. However, he couldn’t help but feel that Jon had also become two–faced.

First, he had used the expensive mineral water to take a dig at Dorian. After that, he had instructed all the employees who had bought sachets from Gisele to only use them in their

own homes. Content is property of NôvelDrama.Org.

In the end, he had even asked them to take a leave of absence.

After Dorian tidied up his clothes, he walked out and glanced wearily at Sierra.

“Don, are you alright?”

Sierra took out an herbal ointment from her purse and pulled him toward the chair at his

desk

“This is an herbal ointment I specifically concocted for you. It helps alleviate fatigue. Please take a seat and allow me to apply it to you.”

Dorian remained calm and closed his eyes after taking a seat.

Sierra’s fair hand scooped up some ointment and gently massaged it near his temples. However, the strong herbal scent made Dorian frown

Dorian stopped her and said, “You can just leave the ointment here. If there are no other pressing matters, you can go back first. I have a meeting to attend shortly.”

After saying that, he got up and walked away.

Sierra was taken aback. It was the first time she had given him the ointment she had personally made, and yet he didn’t seem to like it.

As soon as she remembered seeing Gisele’s stall while driving into the basement parking lot, Sierra’s eyes flashed with hatred.

Was Gisele that desperate to get Dorian’s attention?

She would never let Gisele get what she wanted!
