CHAPTER 21

THE WEDDING DAY

In the living room of the Ricardo family residence is decorated simply according to Lexi’s wishes. As if this wedding was not a special occasion, there were only a few people there.

A man who stood up in the altar would make the bride and groom marry. There were also both of Lexi’s parents, Mrs. Grace, two people of Ricardo family, and Arsene.

It was really like an unexposed secret wedding, their marriages were covered from the public, no media or people from outside knew. This is for the sake of Jessica and Lexi.

As Lexi’s wishes, he only wanted Jessica halal to be a wife for him. The girl was under his control, binding as a wife without the intention of loving and having children. He didn’t want to live happily with her.

“How grateful!” Mrs. Anna and Mr. Samuel’s voices sounded the loudest. Those who are already very much expecting a grandson really expect a lot at Lexi’s wedding this time. They were sure, Lexi and Jessica would give them an heir.

Lexi took Jessica’s hand . Then he began to play in front of everyone. He kissed her cheek and showed her how happy he was.

“Congratulations Jessica, I just always pray that you are always overshadowed by happiness. Son of Lexi, nice guy. She is so generous, I never thought she was your soul mate.” Mrs. Grace wiped away the tears that fell on Jessica’s cheeks, then hugged her very tightly. She let the girl cry in her arms.

Jessica couldn’t speak. She continued to cry and covered her face in Mr. Grace’s embrace. She convinced herself again that this decision was the best.

Mrs. Grace, who felt Jessica’s sadness, chose to remain silent. She grabbed the girl’s face and wiped away her tears. “This is your decision, Jessica, no matter what happens I am sure you will get through it. I’m going home now. Take care of yourself.”

Jessica nodded her head. However, she didn’t want to add to the burden of Mrs. Grace, by telling the reason for this wedding.

Mrs. Grace, turned around. She walked to the door and left the girl in her bridal room.

“Where is Lexi?”Mrs. Grace asked Mrs. Anna who was relaxing in the family room. The woman of the orphanage, who had been looking after Jessica, needed to convey a few words of advice to Jessica’s husband.

“Mom, I’ll call him,” Mrs. Anna said in a friendly. She was so happy, a beautiful smile was painted on her lips.

The woman got up from her seat, and invited Lexi down to the family room to meet Mrs. Grace.

“Lexi, there’s something I want to talk to you about,” Mrs. Grace said when she saw Jessica’s husband walking up to her.

Lexi approached, and bowed respectfully. Meanwhile Mrs. Anna was going to the kitchen, giving privacy to Mrs. Grace and her son.

“It’s about Jessica .” Mrs. Grace looked closely at Lexi who was sitting right in front of her.

“What happened to Jessica?” Lexi asked. From the beginning, Lexi always kept his good act in front of Mrs. Grace. It applies to the present and the next.

“I leave Jessica to you, son, so far she has lived a simple life and no one is happy for her. I hope you, Lexi, can be a good husband, and can make Jessica happy,” Mrs. Grace told him.

“Of course, I’ll take care of Jessica,” he said.

“Guide Jessica, she still lacks a lot. She can’t cook either,” Mrs. Grace was suddenly very worried about Jessica .

“Mom, I have to go back to the orphanage,” Mrs. Grace got up from her seat and into car which was driven by one of the drivers who worked there.

Jessica didn’t dare to leave her room. She sat at the edge of the bed. She stared at the wall clock, wishing time would stop spinning.

Her eyes turned to the side, on a medium-sized brown box. She got up and took the box which was a gift from Chelsea.

Jessica reads the letter exposed on the front.

Jessica took the phone in her pants pocket. She called Chelsea immediately.

The call was connected.

“Hello,” Chelsea said over the phone.

“Hello, why are you giving me an expensive gift? I don’t want you to spend your money a lot,” Jessica said. Actually, she didn’t open the gift yet.

“Marriage is only once, and I think you like my gift!” Chelsea said, her voice sounded cheerful.

Jessica opened the box. A gift from Chelsea was pink lingerie with lace on the chest.

“How? Do you like it, right?” Chelsea asked to make sure. “Try it first, and take a photo. I wonder what my choice is, it suits you, doesn’t it?” Chelsea begged.

“No, it’s not in the wash yet and I’m ashamed to try it,” Jessica wasn’t confident.

” Come on, I beg you,” Chelsea still begged.

Jessica was silent for a moment. She didn’t want to wear that super sexy and hot lingerie. However, she couldn’t refuse Chelsea’s request.

“Okay, I’ll try it and take a photo, wait a minute!”said Jessica . Chelsea was a close friend she had. There was no way she could refuse the request of her only close friend.

“OK. I’ll wait!”

The phone call ended.

Jessica changed clothes with bright red lingerie from Chelsea. Then, she sat down in front of the mirror. She saw her reflection on the mirror.

Jessica’s hands crossed in front of her chest suddenly. The red color of lingerie contrasts sharply with the pure white skin of her body.

(sound of the door opened)

Suddenly the door opened. Lexi stood at the door and watched Jessica without blinking. The man gulped saliva. The beauty in sight. Lexi was convinced that he hadn’t in vain been waiting for three days to marry such a beautiful creature of God’s creation.

Lexi walked forward and closed the room door.

“Mr. Lexi, why did you come in?”Jessica asked with trembling lips.

“The door is unlocked!” Lexi kept walking. His eyes stared at Jessica. It looked like she was naked.

“Then why don’t you knock on the door?”Jessica said, walking backwards as Lexi continued to stare at her lustfully.

“Did you forget? Now you’re my wife Jessica. And, this room is also my room, we are husband and wife. Your room is my room too!” Only this time he saw Jessica who was wearing hot and sexy lingerie. When Jessica was only breathing, he was tempted, especially at this time.

Lexi forgot that he had to call Jessica, because both of her parents asked him to do it. They wanted to talk to Jessica.

“But Sir, it’s still three o’clock in the afternoon!” Jessica protested. She was afraid Lexi would ask for her rights before she even felt ready.

Jessica stood in her place. There was a phone call from Chelsea but she rejected it.

“Sir, shouldn’t it be tonight?” Jessica proposed with quivering lips. She prayed in her heart, hoping that someone would knock on the door.

“Miss Jessica and Mr. Lexi, Mrs. Anna and Mr. Samuel are waiting in the dining room,” a maid who was standing in front of the door.

Jessica was breathing. Fate was on her side again.

“Change your clothes! We’re out now!” Lexi said. Arsene’s words about him having to maintain his authority and charisma could break through his imagination now. “Please don’t call me, Sir! Now I’m your husband, Jess!”

The girl just nodded her head. She took a change of clothes and went to the bathroom. She didn’t want to change her clothes in front of Lexi.

In the dining room…

Jessica and Lexi came and held hands to each other. They sat on the left sofa. Jessica looked down more in embarrassment.

“Where do you want to go on your honeymoon?” Mr. Samuel asked them. His face was as bright as a smile that adorned his lips. He expected a lot from Lexi’s second marriage.

Jessica chose silence. It was unthinkable in her mind the destination she wanted to spend time with Lexi alone. If possible she wanted to go somewhere where there was no Lexi, and couldn’t be reached by Lexi.

“Anywhere! It doesn’t matter where we go because I’m just going to spend some time in my room!” Lexi put his hand on his wife’s shoulder.

“You are suck,” Mr. Samuel shook his head at Lexi’s answer.

“Mom has already chosen the place, I’m sure you two will like it!” Mrs. Anna was so enthusiastic.

“Okay, I agree, mom! Can I ask you something?” Lexi asked. He glanced at Jessica who was sitting next to him.

“Of course, we will give anything as your wedding gift. Tell me what you want? House, vehicle? Traveling around the world?” Mr. Samuel was excited.

“No, Dad! I just want to take Jessica to live with me in the apartment,” Lexi said looking at the other three people in turn.

‘Damn it!’ Jessica’s heart said while the two corners of her lips widened to form a fake smile.

“No!”Mrs. Anna rejected. “This house would not be interesting if you and Jessica did not live here!” she said obviously. She refused Lexi’s request.

“Don’t mom and Dad want to have grandchildren soon? I have to work hard in the company and also work hard in order to immediately give you grandchildren. The distance of the house can be reached in twenty minutes, but the distance of the company to my apartment is closer than that. I wasted so much time on the road!” Lexi explained. “If mom wants to have grandchildren soon, tonight I will take Jessica to the apartment!” Lexi was impatient.

Mr. Samuel was whispered something by his wife.

There was a pause of a few seconds before Mr. Samuel finally granted Lexi’s request.

“Well, mom and dad let you take Jessica to the apartment.” Mr. Samuel nodded while listening to the wife who was whispering in his ear.

Then, he started his car. The four-wheeled vehicle began to run at medium speed, splitting the streets of Jakarta.

In the middle of the journey Jessica felt something come out and wet in the area down there, in the sensitive part of her body. To be sure, Jessica took the phone that was in the bag. She checked the date indicated on the screen of his device.

Dealing with Lexi made her forget everything including forget on the current day and date. Every month Jessica’s menstrual cycle was regular, always at the beginning of the month.

Jessica closed her mouth with her fingers. She forgot that today was her first period.

What am I supposed to do?

There was no way I have to ask Mr. Lexi to take me to buy pads!

But if I kept sitting here, would it wet the car seat???

Lexi said to pull his car over.

Jessica immediately got out of the car. Lexi already saw a red stain on the wife’s pants as well as on the seat of his car.

“Damn it!” Lexi got upset. He turned his head and saw the stain on the car seat.

Jessica nodded. Looking at Lexi, she was sure the man would definitely be furious. The stains on the car seat were due to carelessness.
