Daniel was Confused.

Since leaving the apartment this afternoon Daniel and David had done a lot of things that they were not used to doing these days. The two went shopping at the mall, played games, and before going home they decided to eat together at a Chinese restaurant, which was quite crowded and liked by guests.

They were waiting for the message to come. David observed Daniel who had been daydreaming more often than focusing on what was in front of him. There was nothing wrong with not asking his brother something. “Is something bothering you? Elsa and Lexi’s problems will soon be resolved. I’m sure Grandpa will approve of their relationship!” David said in a tone as relaxed as possible. He was sure that his grandfather would approve of their relationship.

“I’m not worried about that, for some reason I’m very sure that this time Grandpa will approve of Lexi and Jessica’s relationship, all because Lexi wants to fight, he will do anything to be together with Jessica, because Jessica is his priority!” Daniel kept his head down all this time he always said that the girl whose name was engraved in his heart is a priority. However, he did not struggle. It could be said it was just a word in the mouth because until this moment in 6 years of their relationship he did not even dare to introduce the girl to the grandfather.

It was Daniel who drove for them, but this time David did not allow his older brother to drive. “Let me drive, brother!” David said. he grabbed the car keys from his brother’s hand and he sat behind the wheel while Daniel sat next to her with a still gloomy facial expression.

Without waiting for orders from his brother, David immediately started the car, began driving the vehicle at medium speed through the streets of the city to his sister’s apartment where Jessica and Lexi were already waiting for their presence.

Daniel didn’t say anything though. David was sure that Daniel had something in mind. It was impossible for his brother to be silent, moody, and avoid, if indeed nothing happens. He understood the character of Daniel.

Along the way they were silent. David didn’t force his brother to talk about it this time either. Daniel was not ready. He was not ready to tell David or anyone else what’s bothering him.

About 20 minutes drive away, they arrived at the apartment parking area. David stopped the car, but he didn’t get out. “Daniel,” he called out slowly as he leaned back and raised his head.

Daniel didn’t answer, he just turned his head lightly, without saying a word.

“Daniel, you may not say it today, but if you are ready, I hope you will share your troubles with me. Daniel, don’t forget I’m the only one. I am your brother, you can keep everything secret from everyone, but I hope you are always open and share with me, because I myself can hear your problem every time you need, ” he said. He did not wait for a response from his brother. He got out of the car and walked to the elevator first.

Lexi started picking up some fruit in the fridge. Red apples, oranges, and also mangoes. Then, he began to peel them off one by one until he was surprised by a hug from behind that turned out to be his wife.

” Here let me peel it by myself, ” she said when she once saw Lexi who peeled the fruit very slowly. Even the man held the knife very strangely.

“I’m afraid you’ll get a knife if you hold it like that. Look at you peeling it thick. I’m not even going to eat this. Because everything you peel!” Jessica grabbed the knife from her husband’s hand.

she began to peel the mango. Jessica thought Lexi would wait for her and sat in the living room chair, but she was wrong, her husband even hugged her from behind and continued to hug her.

Then Daniel and David went to their respective rooms. Same with Lexi and Jessica. They went to the room and immediately prepared to meet the grandfather later in the evening.
