Damian’s Obsession

27

I was about to enter the office when I heard voices within. It seems like Damian was discussing about something serious with Grey so I decided to come back later.

I was about to leave when something Grey said caught my attention. It seemed like they were discussing about me.

I know it wasn’t right but I decided to eavesdrop on their conversation.

“You are torturing someone who has been close to you for years all because of a woman you had just met.” I heard Grey say.

Really, is that the reason why he has been acting strange towards me? That’s the reason Grey has been so cold for the past few days.

He thinks I caused an enmity between Damian and his friend.

“Roman touched something that’s mine. He needs to pay for his wrong doings.” Damian answered nonchalantly.

How funny, he’s still referring to me as his property. I thought that after these few days, his view of me would have changed. I guess not. That really hurt me.

I was about to leave but something in me pushed me to listen more. I placed my head back on the door to listen clearly.

“Is Selina not wrong also?” Grey asked making me frown.

How the fuck was I in the wrong?

“She shouldn’t have escaped in the first place. If she hadn’t escaped, Roman wouldn’t have kidnapped her.” Grey said.

Now that’s really absurd. What the fuck is he even spitting out. I think he’s really out of his mind. I had the urge to push the door open and talk some sense into him but I held myself back. I wanted to hear what Damian had to say.

“So it’s her fault that Roman had been lusting after her? It’s her fault that Roman sent his people over to my territory to kidnap her?” I heard Damian say and that made me smile.

He actually defended me even after what I did that day. He took my side still even though it was a close friend of his. It made my heart flutter.

“No boss but…….”

“If you have nothing important to say anymore, leave.” Damian ordered shutting Grey up. Serves him right

“Okay boss.” Grey answered.

I heard his footsteps getting closer to the door so I moved back a little so I wouldn’t lose my balance as I was leaning against it.

His eyer widened in shock when he saw me. It quickly changed into that of anger. He scoffed and left angrily.

I didn’t even bother about his thoughts about me. I didn’t care about him so I didn’t mind if he despised me.

I opened the door again and met Damian burying his head on the file he was reading. He finally noticed there was another presence in the room.

“What more do you have to say Grey…… Selina.” Damian called out in surprise when he raised his head up.

“Damián.” I called affectionately as i walked closer to him.Content bel0ngs to Nôvel(D)r/a/ma.Org.

“What is wrong? Did anything happen?” He asked worriedly as he stood up and walked towards her.

My eyes watered as i noticed how concerned and compassionate he was towards me. Why didn’t I notice it before? I guess I was too blind to see that he actually cares a lot about me. I couldn’t help but wrap my hands around him and engulfed him into a very tight hug.

His body stiffened to show that he was in shock. Well, I can’t blame him because I was the one who pushed him away in the first place but now, I’m holding him really close like my whole life depended on it.

“I’m sorry Damian.” I muttered as tears streamed down my face.

Why am I getting so teary eyed all of a sudden?? I came here to make amends with him, and not be a crybaby on his chest.

“Selina..” Damian called and wanted to pull back from the hug but I held him back tighter.

“Let’s just stay like this for a while Damian. Please ……” I pleaded with him.

He didn’t refute but held me closer towards him, placing my head on his broad chest. When my emotions had finally cooled down, I pulled out and looked up to stare at him.

“Will you finally tell me what has been bothering you?” He asked lowly as his hazel orbs roamed around my small frame.

I opened my mouth but I didn’t know how to begin. He must probably think I’m an ungrateful bitch. He has sacrificed a lot for me but all I do is complain and blame all my misfortunes on him.

“You can tell me princess. I’m all ears.” He urged.

That finally broke the ice. I took in all the courage within me and opened my mouth.

“I’m sorry for all I’ve done.” I said.

He stared at me in confusion.

“What do you need to apologize for?” He asked.

I guess he wants me to list out all my wrong doings. I took in a deep breath. Here goes nothing.

“I’m so sorry for being really inconsiderate towards you. Lately, I’ve only been thinking about myself and not bothering to think about how you feel. I always whine about how my life have been a mess and blaming you for it. I didn’t think about how much sacrifices you’ve made for me. I’m very sorry.” I said, all in one breath as I roamed my eyes anywhere but him.

The room was very quiet until I heard him chuckle. I turned to face him in surprise. After giving him this really heart felt speech, all he can do is chuckle??????

I guess he is taking my sincerity as a joke just like what I did to him. I can’t even blame him because I would do the same but it still annoyed me.

“What’s so funny???” I asked.

“Did you practice that speech before coming here??” He asked as he barely managed to hold back his laughter.

“What do you mean by that??” I asked angrily.

“It was as if you were treading from a book. I couldn’t feel the sincerity in your words.” He said giving me a smug smile.

What is he talking about??

“You have to say it again. This time, sincerely.” He said.

I can’t believe I just poured my heart to him, something that I’ve never done for anyone before and he wants me to do it again. He must be really dreaming.

“I’ve said all I could say. It’s your fault if you didn’t get it the first time. Why did I even bother.” I said angrily and was about to leave when he dragged me back.

Wrapping his hands around my waist and leaning his chest on my back. I was very shocked by his hot body being pressed tightly against mine.

“I was only joking. You take things too seriously.” He whispered against my ear, his hot breath fanning my neck.

It felt so good but I didn’t let it get me blown away.

“Let go of m…”

“I was never mad at you.” He said.

I stopped struggling and turned to face him, still in his embrace.

“Huhhh???”

“I was never mad at you.” He said again.

His eyes could tell that he wasn’t lying.

“But you were ignoring me for the past week.” I said.

“After what you’ve been through, I figured you needed your own space.” He answered.

Seriously??? Here I was thinking that he must be very mad with me.

“Did it bother you that much that you had to come apologize???” He asked giving me a smug smile.

“Don’t get ahead of yourself.” I said with a scoff.

“Oh really???” He teased.

“Yeah.. I was only feeling guilty for all I said that’s why I came to apolo……..”

My words were muffled when he suddenly pressed his lips on mine. My breath hitched as I felt his lips moved slowly against mine.

He stopped after sometime and stared at me with a smile.

“I’m glad that you finally came back to me. I’ve missed you so much. I hope you wouldn’t change this attitude later.” He said.

“I won’t.” I said with a small chuckle before I pressed my lips back onto his.
