“You’re stuck with me forever, Skylar, Forever.”

Skylar knew now that her life was ruined. If she would be stuck with someone like Louis all her life, then is it worth living?

She pursed her lips and swallowed the lump that was forming in her throat.

“Do you hear me, Skylar? Never think of leaving me. Is that clear?”

Skylar couldn’t respond. How could she respond to his possessive declaration?

“Do you hear me?” Louis looked down at the woman in his arms and she nodded.

She knew how doesn’t like it when she nods in response to his words, she said “Okay.”

“Forever is the deal, Skylar, Forever.”

“O… Okay.” Skylar nodded.

Louis was displeased. He wanted her verbal agreement. “Not just okay, say it!”

“For… Forever is the deal.” Skylar repeated and this earned her a smile from Louis.

“Good girl.”

He patted her cheek and settled her carefully on the chair. He also sat down and prepared to eat as the maids served the meal.

Skylar’s appetite was lost. Her body ached. Her heart was in pain, she is around so many people yet there was no one to console her.

She stole glances at Louis. She wished she could stab the knife in the food, straight into his eyes.

“You’re not eating?”

That didn’t sound like a question.

Skylar didn’t wait to be told the second time. She stuffed the food into her mouth and swallowed it with difficulty. Her lips were cracked from Louis’s crazy kisses; making it even more difficult to eat.

As soon as the meal was done. Louis carried her back to the room, to Skylar’s surprise. He was gentle with the way he held her.

Skylar was staring wide-eyed at him. How did he make such a 360-degree turn?

Louis dropped her on the bed and turned to leave. “Get some rest.” He opened one of the connecting doors.

Skylar laid on the bed with her knees folded. More tears rolled down her eyes. Will this be her life from now on?

Skylar was lost in thoughts about her life. This wasn’t the life she had envisioned for herself. She wanted to fall in love, and get married to the man she loved. Explore the world with him. Then have kids and live happily ever after.

However, the situation she found herself in was the exact opposite of the one she wanted. Skylar shook her head at the irony.

She pursed her lips and closed her eyes.

Louis couldn’t concentrate on his work. His mind was with Skylar. He remembered what she said earlier and his heart skipped a beat.

Was he being too harsh with her?

No! It’s the way a woman should be treated!

Would she leave him too?

No! She mustn’t leave! Everyone else is allowed to leave but not her!

Louis knew he wasn’t treating her well but he couldn’t help it. He was afraid that she would betray him if he was too good to her, just like Madison did.

What he felt for Skylar was different. He knew it. He could feel it. And even though it’s only been a few weeks since they’d been married, he didn’t want to lose her.

Why? Even he didn’t know. He convinced himself that it was because he was attracted to her body.

Since he was unable to concentrate, Louis decided to go back to the room. He opened the door and stepped in to see Skylar sleeping.

His lips curled into a smile. He went closer to her and bent forward. He caught a tear that escaped her eyes.

He wiped her face with his hand. He felt bad for the way he treated her, but he couldn’t accept the change that was slowly brewing in his heart.

And as much as his mind was telling him that he was falling for her, Louis wouldn’t accept it. Instead, he believe that her body was all he wants.

Louis climbed to the bed and brought her into his arms. He buried his face in her hair.

“Goodnight, Kitten.”

When Skylar opened her eyes the next morning, she looked down at her waist and found Louis’s hand wrapped around her.

Skylar shook her head. She would never get used to sleeping with him. She tried to peel his hand off her but Louis’s eyes opened as she tried to move.

“Don’t move.” He whispered in her ear.

His warm breath made her body heat up from the inside. Skylar obeyed and stayed put.

“Good morning.” She muttered.

Instead of a response, Louis groaned. Her body pressed against him was giving him so e naughty ideas. However, he knew that she still wasn’t healed from the previous session.

“Hm,” Louis’s response to her greetings was a hum.

She tried to get out of his hold but he held her tightly. He closed his eyes and enjoyed the feel of her body in his arms.

He loved the smell of her hair.

“There… Uhm… There is something I want to tell you.”

Skylar decided to tell him about her college. After all, she didn’t know when she would be able to say it again.

“What is it?”

Louis still had his eyes closed. His hand pulled closer to her waist and he brought her close to him as if wanted her to go inside him.

“I …. wanted… I wanted…. to….”

“You’re not going to spend the whole day trying to make a sentence, will you?”

“No, I… What I want to say ….. is that… I … Uhm…”

Skylar couldn’t say it. The words were sitting on her tongue, but it has refused to come out. She was afraid of Louis.

She was hoping he would allow her. She really wants to study.

“Don’t say it if you mustn’t.” Louis could feel her body tense up.

He didn’t like the way her body tensed up because it ruined the warmth he had felt from her. Louis frowned with displeasure. However, he didn’t speak. He just closed his eyes and waited for her to speak.

He was happy with the way the day started. Louis was aroused as Skylar moved her ass against his groin. The member down there sprang up as if it has been expecting that action from Skylar.

“Skylar, you smell so good.”

Louis’s voice was low and lustful. One could tell what he wanted from the way he spoke.

“You want to go to college, huh?”

“You want to go to college?” Louis repeated like it was the first he heard the college word for the first time.

At the mention of mates, Louis’s head banged. Raymond Jones, wasn’t he her schoolmate too? Was she trying to go to college just so she could match him?

“You want to be successful?” Louis asked again. “Aren’t you okay with being my wife? You’re not successful enough?”

“No Louis, that’s not what I meant. I….”

“Then what do you mean? Tell me.”

Louis was starting to raise his voice.

“All I’m saying is that I want to work on my career. I have a dream too, you know? And I…..”

“Exactly Skylar, A dream.” Louis patted her cheek. “That is what it will remain. Just a dream.”

Skylar felt tears build up in her eyes. She was expecting a different result. She hoped he would understand her since Madison also had a career even when she dated Louis before.

“Louis I…..”

“You think, I don’t know what you’re playing at?” Louis shouted. “I know everything about you women! You’re planning on going to college so you can elope someday.” Louis’s eyes were fiery.

He was now sitting, So Skylar also sat.

“No! That’s not it.” Skylar shook her head.

“Then?”

“I just want to work on myself so…..

“So that you can entice other men?” Louis’s eyes closed up completely and when he opened them again he looked like a beast.
