Craving For You

13. Dance For Me

“Louis?” Skylar called as she looked around the room. She was badly wishing that he hadn’t left.

Her heart thumped violently against her ribcage as she ran around checking from one room to the other in search of him.

Though the room was one but it was very big with several doors. Just like a maze.

“Louis? She called as she opened another door.

There were several doors in the room but it was connected to another part of the house. She entered another room and gasped at what she saw.

The room looked like an art shop.

Skylar went further inside; checking the paintings on the wall and around the room.

“Who made these beautiful paintings?” She asked as she passed the room; brushing her hand through each of the paintings as she admired the paintings.

“Could it be Louis?” Skylar pursed her lips and fixed her gaze on the paintings.

“No Way!” Skylar disagreed. “Louis is a monster! There’s no way he’d make such beautiful paintings.”

She went further inside; taking her time to study the paintings. The beautiful landscapes and hills.

The blooming of flowers. The rising of the sun. Everything was painted there.

It all looked so real that she couldn’t help touching it. She smiled to herself as she admired the artwork.

Whoever made those paintings was a master.

There was also a painting of a woman at the center of the room.

Wait!…

The woman in the painting looked familiar!

Skylar went closer to the painting to take a closer look and she confirmed that it was someone she knew.

The woman in the painting was Madison!

“Madison?” Skylar called out as if the painting could hear her.

She went closer to look closely at the painting, almost aligning herself with it.

“It’s Madison,” She confirmed to herself. “But why is she naked?”

Skylar couldn’t understand why Louis would paint Madison when she was naked. She was sitting on a chair with her leg raised and her lap slightly open. She had a pink fluffy bear pillow in her mid-thigh.

Her hair was let down and brought to the side; exposing her naked shoulder. Her hand snaked around her boobs as if to hide her frontal nudity.

Skylar wrinkled her face and shook her head in disbelief as she watched the panting.

“Why would anyone agree to be painted naked?”

“Skylar?” Louis’s voice reverberated through the thick doors of the room.

Skylar gasped from fear.

Louis was back in the room?Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.

She snuck out of the room and closed the door. She hurried back to the bedroom.

She tiptoed out. Taking stealthy footsteps out of the room.

She got out of the room with her back first but as soon as she got out through the connecting door, her back hit a hard object.

“How did the wall come here? She wondered and tried to move but she froze at Louis’s question.

“Why did you go in there?” Louis’s eyes darkened as she called him a wall.

“Huh? Skylar shuddered.

“Weren’t you told never to go there?” His voice sounded low and concise.

He was able to pass his message across; rendering the other party speechless.

“How dare you?!”

Skylar jumped and left huge space between them as she ran off.

“Master never let anyone in here.”

“The door is always closed.”

“We are not permitted to even clean the room.”

“It’s the only room no one dares to go to.”

“Only Mrs. Alisa was allowed to go in there.”

Skylar closed her eyes as Helen and Alice’s words echoed in her head.

Was this the room they were referring to?

She has always confused the doors for one another.

Her eyes widened at the thought. She raised her head to steal a glance at Louis and she wasn’t surprised to see him glare at her.

“Answer me!”

“I.. I… Was looking for you,” She stated truthfully.

“You were looking for me? In there?” Louis’s eyes became frosty.

How could she lie so blatantly?

“Ye… Yes… I thought you …..”

“The door is always locked, how did you get in?”

“It was open….”

“It is never open!” Louis yelled, grabbing her shoulders.

Skylar moved backward but Louis’s hold was tight. He was looking at her like he would strangle her at any time.

“Lie!”

“What?” Skylar wondered what he thought was a lie.

The fact that she was looking for him or the fact that the room was open?

“How dare you lie to my face?! Louis’s gripped harder on her shoulder.

“I’m not,” Skylar winced.

The pain in her shoulder was overpowering.

“Don’t you dare!” Louis raised his index. His eyes stared daggers at her as he slowly let her go.

“I’m telling the ….

“Not another word!” Louis’s voice echoed loudly in the room that she had to cover her ears to protect her eardrums.

“Not another word,” He repeated.

This time his voice was low but frigid.

Skylar was dumbfounded. She couldn’t understand where she had gone wrong again.

She had only gone into his painting room, not some hidden treasure room.

Why was he making a fuss just for that?

Or is he probably mad because she saw Madison’s painting?

Skylar was lost in thought when something hard suddenly grabbed her neck. She looked up to see Louis already standing close to her.

His eyes almost burned a hole through her. The hand around her neck wasn’t too tight to kill but tight enough to make her feel uncomfortable.

“No one defies my orders, Skylar, and you’ve done that twice today.” He whispered lazily.

As if it was natural for him to grab someone’s neck.

“I… I….” Skylar couldn’t speak.

It was probably because he was holding her neck or because she was stunned by his words.

She stared at him as if the devil was standing before her.

“Never defy me.” Louis’s grip tightened. “I don’t like it.”

Though Louis looked calm while he spoke those words but his devilish voice sounded like a thunderstorm in her ears; holding a heavy threat.

Was that a warning?

No. That sounded like death bells.

Skylar pursed her lips and tried to nod but his grip was too strong. She held his hand to pry them open and free herself from him but his grip got tighter.

Her eyes were laced with tears as she looked at Louis.

What has she done to deserve this?

“Sir, ma’am, dinner is served.” Mrs. Alisa’s voice came in through the door.

Louis glanced in the direction of the voice and his eyes darkened. He returned to Skylar and his lips curled up.

He just got an interesting idea.

“Can you dance?”

Louis let go of her neck and clapped his hands to brush off whatever residue was left from the touch.

“I…” Skylar coughed and tears ran down her eyes. “Can’t…”

She didn’t want to cry.

She didn’t want to show him her weak side but she couldn’t help it.

This was too much.

“You don’t know how to dance?” Louis leaned closer.

He squatted before her and raised her jaw with his finger.

“I …. Can’t.” Skylar was still struggling for breath.

“Then I’ll like to see.” Louis smirked.

He was enjoying this.

“Huh?” Skylar blinked.

She didn’t seem to hear him right. She remembered clearly that she just said she couldn’t dance. Then what was he saying he wanted to see.

Louis stood and walked away. With his hand on the door knob and his eyes looking backward to see Skylar look pitiful. He smirked as he said,

“I want to see you dance and dance you must!”
