Chapter 105
While she’s sitting there, Hanna came up and sat beside her. “Hi, I’m Hanna.”
“I’m Pamela.” She replied.
“You’re new. Just passing through or visiting?” Hanna asked.
“Not sure yet.” Pamela replied.
“Would you like to join me and my friends?” Hanna asked.
“Sure.” Pamela responded.
They went over to the table where Jasmine, Jessi, and Lexi were sitting.
“This is Pamela.” Hanna announced. That’s Jessi my cousin, Jasmine, and Lexi. Jazz and Lex are like family. Our moms have been best friends forever and we all grew up together.”
“Nice to meet y’all.” Pamela replied.
Brady walked over to their table. “Sis, ladies, who’s your friend?”
“Her name is Pamela and you need to back off!” Hanna retorted.
“What? I just came over to be friendly.” Brady laughed.Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.
“Sure you did, Mr. Player himself.” Hanna huffed.
“Ladies. Hey baby.” Maddox replied as he bent down to kiss Jasmine.
“Pamela this is Jazz’s boyfriend Maddox.” Hanna explained.
Maverick walked up behind Hanna. “Hey baby who’s your friend?”
“Her name is Pamela. And this is Maverick my man.” Hanna replied.
“Yeah, and she’s my old lady.” Maverick grinned.
“Nice to meet you. But old lady? I’m sure you’re younger than me.” Pamela questioned.
Everyone at the table laughed. She knew what an Old Lady was, but didn’t want to let them know it. After all she had did her research before coming. Brady pulled a chair beside Pamela and sat down.
“Just know you’ve been warned.” Hanna cautioned.
“I’ll take it under advisement.” Pamela grinned.
Everyone but Pamela and Jessi got up to dance. Jessi kept glaring at her.
“Look, Jessi is it? You can sit here and give me the evil eye all night but it won’t change the fact that Brady came on to me. And FYI, I’m not the least bit interested in him. You obviously are so either tell him or get over it. You’ve been here a lot longer than I have. I’m guessing he doesn’t feel the same for you.” Pamela replies.
“Whatever.” Jessi sneered.
“You should find someone who wants to chase you. Every woman deserves to be the main focus of the guy. Don’t sell yourself short. And from experience, guys like to be the chaser not be chased.” Pamela explained.
Brady had walked up behind her and heard the last part.
“That’s right. Us alphas like the chase. Besides she’s my cousin so I think you got that part wrong sweet cheeks.” Brady laughed.
“Little boy, you ain’t no alpha!” Pamela laughed.
“Baby, there ain’t nothing little about me. Let’s dance.” Brady demanded.
“Ok. But I’ll warn you ahead of time, I don’t do fuck boys or players, so you’re wasting your time with me.” Pamela warned.
Brady smirked. “And the chase is on!”
“Yeah, good luck with that!” Pamela murmured.
They went to the dance floor and danced until the others went back to the table. The girls sat down while the guys went to play pool.
The MC approved Pamela’s request. They told everyone that she was a cousin of Raine’s since no one knew anything about her family. And Raine never talked about them. They also said she was avoiding an ex who was stalking her. Since Jax told them no one questioned it.
It’s been a few weeks without any incidents. The girls were waiting at the bar for a FaceTime call with Jade. Her and Levi were living on base. Jasmine’s phone rang and she answered it.
“Oh my God! I miss y’all soo much!” Jade squealed.
“Us too! How’s married life?” Jasmine asked.
“It’s amazing! Levi treats me so good. So far, we’ve been lucky and he hasn’t had any long trips away. I’m hoping he doesn’t miss the birth!” Jade sighed.
“Not much longer. You excited or nervous?” Hanna asked.
“Both! Mom and dad said they would fly down a couple weeks before my due date. So, I’m looking forward to that.” Jade explained.
“Hey little sis.” Maverick smiled.
“Hey bro!” Jade exclaimed.
“Where’s Levi!” Lexi asked.
“He should be here any second.” Jade replied.
“Just home sis.” Levi called out.
“No, you’re not! That’s not your home. I’m still pissed at you for leaving! We’re twins for god’s sake!” Lexi retorted.
“Sis you’ve known for a long time this was what I was gonna do.” Levi pointed out.
“Don’t mean I gotta like it!” Lexi replied.
They all talked and caught up with all that had happened. They introduced Pamela. Brady sat beside her and put his arm around her shoulders. She rolled her eyes and shoved his arm away.
Jade laughed. “You got the right idea there.”
“My mama didn’t raise no dummy.” Pamela laughed.
“Dunno what you ladies are talking about.” Brady huffed.
“Please!” Jade and Pamela both snickered.
“I like you already!” Jade replied.
“Ditto.” Pamela smiled.
They finished the call and then the guys went to play pool. The girls decided to sit and chat while they watched the guys.
“Ok not wanting to start drama but please tell me I’m not the only one who thinks it’s weird she’s crushing on her cousin?” Pamela asked.
“What?” Hanna and Jasmine asked.
“Totally gross.” Lexi replied.
“What do you mean?” Hanna asked.
“Never mind.” Pamela grimaced.
“I wasn’t sure but yeah I see it.” Lexi explained.
“See what?” Hanna asked.
“Jessi likes Brady.” Lexi replied.
“I think I just threw up in my mouth a little.” Hanna gagged.
“Y’all didn’t notice?” Pamela asked.
“Not really. I try to avoid her much as possible.” Hanna replied.
“I’m sorry for mentioning it. Just forget I said anything.” Pamela replied.
Jasmine and Hanna told Pamela about how the guys hadn’t asked them to marry them. They filled her in on their history, and how long they’d been together. Hanna explained how she wanted him to do it because he wanted to and not because she mentioned it.
“Can I be frank here?” The girls nod.
“These guys don’t strike me as the type to be told what to do. They also strike me as the type that need you to let them know what you want.” Pamela explained.
“Maybe they want it but are afraid it’s not what you want? You both have to communicate your wants and needs in a relationship. You can’t expect your partner to read your mind.” She replied.
“Wow, I never thought about it that way.” Hanna replied.
“Answer me this.” Pamela asked. “Would Maverick ever let someone force him into doing something he didn’t want to do?”
“No, he wouldn’t. I guess this whole stalker thing has me on edge.” Hanna sighed.
“I’ve been thinking about that. Other than the lingerie, it doesn’t seem like a guy.” Pamela replied.
“What?” Hanna asked.
“Explain.” Lexi demanded.
“Lingerie ok, calls and following, maybe. But running you off the road and leaving you without kidnapping you? No way! If it was a guy obsessed with you it was his perfect opportunity to grab you. No that screams jealous woman wanting to scare you off or get rid of you.” Pamela explained.
“That does make sense. I too wondered why they didn’t take you when you were run off the road.” Lexi responded.
“But who? The only girl I had trouble with is dead.” Hanna replied.
