Her Best friend
It was morning and another brand new day to be precise. Hannah had woken up so early and got dressed. She had wanted to visit Brandon’s company, BRC. co.
Arianna had told her Brandon was going to be available at 7:30 Am. She had already scheduled a meeting with him and he was willing to meet. She had to go early because her mother had told her Brandon doesn’t like clients who come late to meetings.
She got dressed and went to the kid’s room. There she met them while still asleep. She sighed softly as she stared at them. They had come just yesterday, and she needed the kids to rest, after today she had planned on getting them to start a new school.
She smiled at them before walking out of the room. On her way out of the house, she met the nannies and the maids. She had told them to make sure they give the kids anything they want while she is not at home. With that, she walked out of the house.
She hopped into the new car Arianna had gotten for her before she arrived in Atlanta. Arianna had made sure everything was available before she came to Atlanta.
She hopped into the red sports car, ignited the engine, and zoomed off.
Her car screeched to a halt in front of the Company. She hopped out of the car and stood in front of the big company staring at it.
The company was so big that she had opened her mouth wide, staring at it. It was one of the biggest companies she’s ever seen. She had seen bigger buildings in New York City but she just didn’t expect the company to be as big as this.
On top of the Building was written BRC. She stared at the company’s building for some seconds before walking inside the company.
She had met with the receptionist who told her she had a meeting with Brandon Colby. The receptionist asked for her name and she told her, her name was Cinderella Mackenzie.
The receptionist had told her to sit and wait at the reception while he called the boss that she was there.
She sat down staring at workers who were holding files and walking to and fro. She sighed softly as she stared at the receptionist who kept making calls.Exclusive content from NôvelDrama.Org.
She exhaled deeply as she saw the receptionist walking towards her. She quickly stood up and hung her bag properly on her shoulder, thinking the receptionist was going to tell her the boss was ready to see her.
But instead, she told her, the boss had a change of mind and had postponed the meeting to one week.
“What??” Hannah screamed in horror. One week was a very long period, before then Mackenzie’s company must have experienced a lot of loss.
Hannah felt sad. She just can’t sit and watch the company Arianna worked so hard to build go down like that. She needed to do something. She needed to meet Brandon in person today and convince him. The earlier the better.
“I’m so sorry miss,” the receptionist said as she noticed the sad look on Hannah’s face.
“It’s alright! Please, can I use your restroom before I leave?” Hannah asked
“Yes, you can. It’s on the second floor” the receptionist said and Hannah smiled at her before walking towards the elevator.
She entered the elevator and pressed the last floor on the elevator. She remembered Arianna telling her, Brandon was on the last floor and his office was the only one on the last floor.
Ding!, the elevator stopped and opened. Hannah walked out of the elevator and there she saw a door. She was so sure it was Brandon’s office.
She walked towards the door, took a deep breath, and held the handle of the door. Just as she was about to open the door, she heard a male voice talking inside the office, he was yelling and he sounded so furious. She was so sure it was Brandon because Arianna had told her, he was always angry.
She placed her ear on the door listening to the conversation but then she mistakenly opened the door and she fell into the office.
Brandon turned angrily as he heard a loud thud. He turned and to his surprise, he saw a female lying on the ground grunting. He stared at her disgustingly as he ended the phone call.
“Who are you and what are you doing here?” he asked arrogantly. Hannah quickly stood up from the ground in embarrassment and dust her clothes.
“Hi sir, my name is…”
“I’m not interested in knowing your name” Hannah managed to smile and Brandon stared at her for a few seconds and then picked up his phone.
“Report to my office immediately,” Brandon said and ended the call, and just then two hefty men walked in.
“Throw her out of my company,” Brandon said and turned to face the window, staring outside his company. He seemed so angry that he could barely look at her.
“Please sir, I just need to talk to you about something, please” Hannah yelled as the guards dragged her out of his office but he paid a deaf ear to her.
He was not ready to listen to some kind of stranger.
Hannah groaned as the two hefty men threw her out of the company.
“I’ll kill both of you the next time you touch me and you know what? tell your boss to go to hell!!” Hannah grunts angrily and kicks one of the men.
“Arghhh!!” she yelled as she felt pain in her leg from the kick.
She shot the men a deadly glare and picked up her bag from the ground before walking inside her car.
“That Brandon is so rude. I hate him already” Hannah thought.
She was already feeling tired and hungry. She decided to go to a nearby restaurant and eat so she could go back home and make a new plan on how to make Brandon listen to her.
She ignited the engine of her car and zoomed off. Her car screeched to a halt in front of a big Chinese restaurant.
She hopped out of the car and was about to walk inside the restaurant when she bumped into someone who she never expected to see.
“Hannah!!” Rhoda, her best friend, called out in shock.
