Cinderella And Her Beautiful Octuplets

Chapter 299

“Fine, I will let you be. I won’t chase after you anymore. You can do as you please and I promise I will stay away from you as you want-”

“Yes, please do stay away from me” Hannah looked away from him and was about to walk away when he spoke, making her pause.

“I hope you are ready for the war you just started” Brandon muttered with no expression on his face.

“Yes, the battle line has been drawn ” Hannah glared at him for a few seconds and walked inside her office.

Brandon on the other hand walked away angrily.

The moment Hannah got to her office, she sat on the chair. She wondered what war Brandon was talking about.

She sighed and then decided to work, throughout the time she was working, she kept thinking about Brandon.

The thought of him filled her heart. Memories of how the house had almost caught fire because Brandon had forgotten he put the chicken in hot oil because of her, came running to her head.

She could remember how she slept so peacefully on his chest last night and then breakfast in bed. She found herself smiling and lost in thoughts. He was so romantic.

The thought of Brandon makes her heart leap in joy and makes her feel a butterflies in her stomach.

Just then she heard a knock on her office door, jolting her out of her thoughts.

She quickly replaced the smile on her face with a frown, wondering why she was thinking about Brandon so much.

Oh my goodness! What is wrong with me? I think I’m going crazy, she thought.

“Come in,” she said and the door opened revealing Liam.

“Hello Ma’am”

“Hey Liam” Hannah muttered wondering what brought him to her office.© 2024 Nôv/el/Dram/a.Org.

“The board meeting has started, everyone is waiting for you,” Liam said and Hannah raised her eyebrows confused.

“Board meeting? I didn’t know we would be having one today” Hannah stood up as she picked up her phone and some files on the table.

“Mr Colby had just called for one,” he said and Hannah nodded and they both walked out of the office to the board room.

The moment she entered the board room, Brandon didn’t waste any time and started the meeting immediately.

Throughout the meeting, Hannah kept stealing glances at Brandon but he wasn’t staring at her. He was focused on other members, the files in front of him, and his computer.

Hannah hummed. On a normal day, he would stare at her a million times before the end of the meeting but it was different now.

Finally, the meeting ended and every member left the board room excluding Liam, Hannah, and Brandon.

Hannah stood up and walked towards Brandon.

“This is the file from the…..”

“Give it to Liam, I’ll go through it when I’m less busy,” Brandon said, cutting off her speech. His eyes were still on the laptop In front of him.

Hannah nodded and gave the file to Liam. She stood in front of Brandon looking for what to say but words weren’t coming out of her mouth.

Brandon raised his head when he noticed she hadn’t left yet.

“Do you need anything else?” Brandon asked with no expression on his face Hannah sighed and nodded and with that, she walked away angrily, to her office.

She felt hurt by the way Brandon was treating her. He doesn’t look at her and he talks to her professionally like there’s nothing between them.

Is this the war he was talking about? she thought.

“You’ve just drawn the battle line, Brandon,” she said to herself with a frown on her face and decided to distract herself with work.

But still, she just couldn’t stop thinking about Brandon.

Meanwhile, the moment Hannah left the board room, Brandon stood up and walked to his office with Liam trailing behind him.

“Sir, is everything okay?” Liam, who had noticed the way he talked to Hannah, asked my t hmm

with a worried look on his face.

“Yeah, you would be going with Hannah to see the client by noon,” Brandon said and Liam nodded in response.

“That would be all, I’ll call you if I need anything, ” Brandon said with no expression on his face and Liam nodded and walked out.

The moment he walked out of Brandon’s office, he went to Hannah’s office to let her know they would be going to see a client together.

Hannah wondered why Liam was going with her. On a normal day, Brandon was supposed to go with her.

She then stood up and decided to go to Brandon’s office.

She barged into his office and met him searching for some files on his shelf. Brandon sighed as he sensed Hannah’s presence. He knew it was her.

She was the only one who would barge into his office without knocking.

“What do you want, Hannah?” Brandon asked as he picked up the file from the shelf and opened it, reading through it.

“Why would you tell Liam he would be coming with me to see the client by noon? Ain’t you the one who’s supposed to go with me?” She asked and Brandon sighed as he raised his head and stared at her.

“I’m busy Hannah and I have a lot of things to do at the company. Liam will take you there” he said with a cold expression on his face and then looked away from her.

“Is this the war you are talking about?” Hannah asked as she felt hurt because Brandon was so cold towards her.

“What are you talking about?” Brandon asked as he flipped another page of the file open.

“The war you talked about. You are not even staring at me when I speak” Hannah said and Brandon raised his head and stared at her.

“You are giving me distance and I do not like,” she said and he took a step forward.

“I’m I close enough?”

“You are still far from me-“”

He sighed and took another step forward and this time he was so close to her, as there was no space between them.

“Have you figured out what you want yet?” he asked as he stared at her eyes and then her lips.

She didn’t say a word, all she wanted at that moment was for Brandon to kiss her.

“Do you want me to kiss you?” he asked and she nodded and closed her eyes and lifted her face a bit, waiting for him to kiss her.
