Chasing My Pregnant Wife

Chapter 825

Chapter 825

A loud clap of thunder suddenly echoed in the sky.

Theodore woke up abruptly at the sound. He turned his head to see strong winds outside, with curtains billowing and large raindrops pouring down, entering the room with the wind.

The thunderstorm and strong winds completely erased Theodore's sleepiness. He got out of bed and walked to the window to close it. Looking through the glass at the torrential rain outside, a sudden pain shot through his heart.

The pain came without warning. He raised his hand to cover his heart, which felt uncomfortable. It was as if something bad had happened. Suddenly, his phone rang. Theodore walked to the bed, picked up his phone, and answered, "Hello."

Hearing the words from the other end, his expression turned serious.

After hanging up, he quickly changed his clothes and left the house in the rain.

Theodore drove to the hospital. After the doctors finished emergency treatment for Aurora, they sent her to a ward.

Theodore asked the doctor, "Why did you call me?"

"Mr. Spencer, you brought Miss Payne to the hospital last time and left your number. Since we couldn't reach anyone else, we had to contact you," the doctor explained.

Theodore sighed. Ever since he left the hospital, he and Aurora had not been in contact. He never expected that they would meet again this way. Aurora had previously told him that she was no longer in touch with her family, so when he received the call from the hospital, he still came. "Doctor, how is she now?"

"Miss Payne needs a heart transplant. She has been added to the transplant list."

"A heart transplant?"

Theodore's brow furrowed at this news. He had been through this before. Cynthia had also had a heart transplant, and it had taken a long time to find a suitable match. He had almost given up hope multiple times.

"Yes, Mr. Spencer, but Miss Payne's condition can be managed for a few more years," the doctor clarified.

"Are you saying she has a few years to wait for a heart?" Theodore asked.

"Yes, but she needs to be cared for and must come to the hospital for regular check-ups," the doctor responded.

"I understand," Theodore said.Published by Nôv'elD/rama.Org.

The doctor then provided Theodore with some additional precautions before leaving.

Theodore felt a headache coming on. He arranged for Aurora to have a VIP ward. The ward was spacious, and he sat on the sofa, gazing out at the scenery.

The rain continued to fall and seemed to be getting heavier. Theodore felt uneasy, but it had nothing to do with Aurora. It had started before he received the call.

Theodore took out his wallet and opened it. Inside the wallet, there was a photo of Rosalie. He gently traced it with his finger.

Aurora slowly opened her eyes and, upon seeing Theodore, thought it was all a dream. "Am I...dead?"

Theodore stood up and walked over, saying, "You're in the hospital and still alive."

"I'm still alive?" Aurora couldn't believe it. Her gaze fell on Theodore's hand, where a photo of Rosalie sat in his wallet.

Aurora anxiously asked, "What did the doctor say?"

"The doctor said you need a heart transplant, and you have been placed on the transplant list."

"How could this happen?" Aurora was in shock. "My heart shouldn't need to be replaced."

She had been fine before, only

needing to take medication. Waszit because she had stopped taking it? However, it was upon the advice of the doctor. She wouldn't stop taking medication on her own. Content

Seeing Aurora's panicked expression, Theodore could understand. Who could accept such news easily?
