Chasing My Pregnant Wife

Chapter 818

Chapter 818

"I am that kind of person." Theodore turned around. "Believe it or not."

He didn't care whether Aurora believed him, or how Cynthia viewed him. He had completely stopped caring. He didn't even care how his family saw him, let alone anyone else.

"No, you're not like that! Theodore, why won't you admit it?" Aurora looked at him in pain. "You're suffering inside. Why won't you acknowledge it? You're not the kind of person you claim to be. There must be a reason for what you did."

"What reason?" Theodore angrily replied. "Why do you always make excuses for men? There's no reason. I betrayed my wife, and I deserve everything I'm going through now! I had it coming!"

Unable to control his anger, Theodore suddenly shouted. Aurora was startled by his outburst, and stared at him with wide eyes.

Realizing that his emotions were out of control, Theodore immediately took a deep breath and said, "I did what I did. Stop making excuses for me. I'm not a good man."

Aurora clenched her fists, tears streaming down her face. "Even if you really did all that, you know now that it was wrong!"

Theodore let out a cold snort. "So what if I know it was wrong? It doesn't matter anymore."

"Doesn't matter?" Aurora repeated. "Mr. Spencer, everyone in this world makes mistakes. People have flaws; no one can do everything perfectly. But as long as you recognize your mistakes and correct them, there's still time to make things right."

"Still time?" Theodore found it amusing. "Then where is the woman I care about now? Has she come back to me?"

Aurora said, "You don't need to keep fixating on her. Now that you know your mistake, you won't make it again next time. I believe you'll meet a better woman."

Hearing the words "a better woman," Theodore seemed to be provoked again. He said coldly, "Aurora, you're so full of yourself. Are you saying the woman I love isn't good enough?"

Aurora's heart skipped a beat, and she quickly shook her head. "No, that's not what I meant."

She had spoken without thinking, not even knowing what kind of woman his ex-wife was.

"If that's not what you meant, then what did you mean?" Theodore stepped closer to her, his voice sharp. "I will never like you."

Aurora felt as though her mind was splitting in two. Clenching her teeth, she said in anger, "Theodore, I risked my life to save you, and is this how you repay me? By pretending to be a jerk on purpose?" Content belongs to NovelDrama.Org

She could tell that Theodore was pretending. He wasn't the kind of person he claimed to be.

Even if he had done something

wrong, he had repented for it. He deserved forgiveness. It was just

that his ex-wife hadn't forgiven him, so he had given up on himself. Content belongs to NovelDrama.Org

There were so many women in the world-he didn't need to focus on his ex-wife alone.

His past mistakes could only make him a better person. Why couldn't he understand that? He was being stubborn and short-sighted.

"Did I ask you to save me?"

Theodore suddenly shouted at her. "Aurora, why did you meddle in my. affairs? Would it have been so bad to let me die there? Do you think you can use the fact that you saved me to hold it over my head and make me grateful? I feel disgusted because I never wanted you to saveConTEent bel0ngs to Nôv(e)lD/rama(.)Org .

Theodore took a few steps back. "I've repaid what I owe you. Stop bothering me."

With that, Theodore turned and left the ward.

With a loud thud, Aurora collapsed onto the floor.
