Chasing My Pregnant Wife

Chapter 795

Hearing the word "meaningless", Sydney felt her heart sink.

Yes, to Sebastian, what did the Spencers mean? And what did she, as his mother, mean? He didn't even know she was his mother.

She was too afraid to tell him, fearing that Sebastian would hate her. Being hated as a stranger felt better than being hated as a mother. This painful feeling was something she could endure alone, while Sebastian would think he was simply hating an irrelevant person, rather than realizing he was hating his own mother.

Sebastian, puzzled, asked tentatively, "I thought Rose would go to her Madam Jarvis's house today. I didn't expect to meet you in a restaurant. Where are your husband and son?"

"They're busy and don't have time," Sydney replied. "So I brought her out to take her for a stroll."

"Is that so?" Sebastian was curious. He didn't know about the others, but how busy could Theodore be to not even see Rosalie? This was a golden opportunity.

Unless, Theodore didn't even know he had a chance to meet Rosalie today.

He found Sydney strange. "You say I shouldn't hate your son, and I might be against that. But what if Theodore keeps pursuing Rose? What then?" Sydney replied firmly, "I will stop him."Property of Nô)(velDr(a)ma.Org.

"Why?" Sebastian was incredulous. That was her own son. Surely she would side with him over an outsider.

"Because Theo and Rose are done. The harm he caused is irreparable, and dragging this out will only make her suffer more. It's better for them to be apart. Honestly, if it weren't for you being there for Rose and comforting her, she would be in a much worse place now. Thank you for being by her side."

No matter what kind of person Sebastian was, he truly cared for Rosalie and wouldn't intentionally hurt her. Hearing Sydney's earnest tone made Sebastian skeptical.

"Do you really believe that?"

Sydney nodded. "Yes, I know you don't trust me, but every word I say is true. I swear on my life."

Sebastian frowned deeper. She was making such a serious declaration. Perhaps Sydney's perspective was driven by the fact that she knew her son wouldn't get Rosalie, and she was just trying to shield him from harm.

Regardless, Sydney would undoubtedly side with her son. There was no way she would help an outsider. To test whether Sydney was sincere, he decided to probe further.

"You know, I've lost my memory, and there's a medical program abroad that might help me recover it. Rose was supposed to accompany me, but then she got kidnapped, and now there's been a delay because of her pregnancy."

Sydney's expression shifted. "So, you still plan to go?"

"I want to regain my memories as soon as possible," Sebastian replied. "That program is a good fit for me. It's really distressing to forget everything." He lowered his gaze.

Sydney remembered the suffering

Sebastian had endured. She had

heard that he almost died, and during that time, Rosalie was pressured to donate his organs but refused to do so. They had both faced significant trials.

"When do you plan to go again?" she asked gently.

Sebastian shook his head. "I don't know. I mentioned it to Rose a few days ago, and she agreed to go with me, but, we haven't set a date yet really want to go soon, but now that her grandma has dementia,

worried she won't want to,
