"Alright, I'll make the arrangements," James replied, understanding that Nash wouldn't be at ease until Nina was found.
So, they set off for Yaren that very night.
Nina couldn't sleep. As the night went on, the temperature dropped significantly, and everyone around her gradually fell asleep. The fire couldn't stay lit all night, so she reluctantly crawled into the tent. Scarlett was also awake, so despite Nina's efforts to move quietly, she noticed the slight noise.
"Get some sleep, Nina. We have a long journey ahead, and you need to preserve your strength. Besides, you heard Scott's recording."
Nina was surprised. "Why aren't you asleep?"
Scarlett had been expending more energy than Nina and yet hadn't slept. It must have been because she, too, had a lot on her mind.

She understood the importance of conserving energy, but her mind was occupied with thoughts of Nash, Scott, and even her baby. The recent harrowing events replayed in her head. "Scarlett, do you think there's something wrong with me?" Nina asked.
She pressed her lips tightly together, feeling a strange unease in her heart.
She felt overwhelmed.
She had thought that once she arrived, she would be able to reach Yaren directly. Even if she couldn't find Nash and Scott immediately she believed that with some effort, she would locate them soon enough.
But she had underestimated the journey. They had already spent so much time on the road and still hadn't reached Yaren. Given their current situation and with just the two of them, it seemed almost impossible.
Scarlett's eyes brightened. "It's not that there's something wrong with you. But if you're exhausted, maybe we should..." "No," Nina said firmly. She had come this far. She wouldn't give up until she reached Yaren and found Scott and Nash.
At that moment, the sound of a car engine outside made both of their hearts skip a beat.
"It's probably just a passing vehicle," Scarlett reassured Nina. "Besides, we have many people around us. If anything happens, I'll protect you."
Scarlett's duty was to ensure Nina's safety, even at the cost of her own life.
"I know. The sound just startled me," Nina admitted. It wasn't fear, just a natural reaction to potential danger. Being human meant experiencing fear.
"Try to rest," Scarlett urged.
After a moment of silence, Nina suddenly asked, "Scarlett, did Nash only ask you to take care of me? When I was having the baby, did he say anything else to you?"
