Nash ended the call, clutching his phone with a mix of hesitation and determination before dialing Nina's number. However, due to the ongoing movement of the vehicle Nina was in, there was no signal.

Nash's expression turned stern. "Keep in constant contact with Nina. If I can't reach her, you must."
"Understood, Captain. You rest now. I'll call you when our contact arrives," James tried to coax Nash into resting.
But Nash was too worried about Nina to sleep. His mind was entirely occupied with thoughts of her.
Seeing no other choice, James knocked Nash out gently to force him to rest.
Meanwhile, Nina's vehicle headed towards Yaren. Initially, they passed tall buildings and some signs of life, but soon they found themselves in a vast, desolate desert, with no signal and no people.
Nina clutched her gun tightly, worried that any slight mishap could doom them all.
Suddenly, the car made a screeching sound and came to a halt.
"Miss Nina, the car has broken down. The driver needs to get out and check," July translated.
