CEO's Tears Over Pregnancy Test Discovery

Chapter 727

Hearing her voice, Nash's cold face showed a hint of reaction. He turned his head in her direction and, sure enough, saw Nina standing there.

Nina quickly walked over, afraid they would miss each other if he got into the elevator. Seeing Nash pause, she felt relieved. "Mrs. York," Quincy called respectfully.

Nina frowned, staring at Nash. He remained silent, his eyes questioning what she was doing there.

Nina stepped into the elevator and commanded, "You come in. The rest, stay out. I have something to discuss with him."

Iler authoritative tone left no room for argument, and no one dared to join them except Nash, who, despite his puzzled expression, followed her into the elevator.

The elevator ascended to Nash's private floor. Once the doors opened, Nina silently walked towards his office, knowing Nash would follow.

Once inside, she closed the door and confronted him, "Did you kidnap Miranda?"

In the confined space between the door and Nash, she left him no room to move. Nash narrowed his eyes, not immediately answering, and stepped out of the cramped space.

"Don't make accusations lightly," Nash said, moving behind her, then turning slightly. "What evidence do you have that I kidnapped Miranda?"

Nina turned and quickly closed the distance between them. "I heard everything earlier. You plan to make Miranda disappear? That's impossible. Too many people know her. She's a public figure. How could she just vanish? What did you do? You're not just the CEO of York Corportion. Do you understand the law? The world doesn't revolve around you. Don't do anything foolish!" Her worry and urgency were palpable, words spilling out rapidly as she pleaded with him to stay within the bounds of the law. Nash stared at her distressed face, remaining silent for a long time. It was as if only Nina was anxious while he remained calm, almost detached.

Growing impatient and frustrated, Nina's voice grew louder, "Did you hear me?"

"I heard you," Nash replied, a smile playing on his lips. "But I don't think I've done anything wrong. You, on the other hand, Nina, have accused me of many crimes. You need to take responsibility for that."

His tone and expression felt distant, almost unfamiliar. In the days they had not seen each other, it was as if he had become a different person. If he had indeed kidnapped Miranda, Nina could only think it was to avenge her. She couldn't fathom any other

reason.

If Nash was acting for her sake, it pained her. She didn't want him to stray down the wrong path.

"Stop lying to me!" Nina's eyes reddened with frustration and concern. "Forget our issues. I genuinely don't want you to do something stupid. Don't gamble with your life!"

"Worried about me?" Nash's eyes narrowed, a smirk still on his face as he stepped closer.

Nina realized something was off. She was trying to talk seriously, but Nash's thoughts were elsewhere. She looked up at him just as he placed his hand on her waist, his fingers caressing her.ConTEent bel0ngs to Nôv(e)lD/rama(.)Org .

He whispered mockingly in her ear, "Nina, if you wanted to be close to me, you could have found a better reason. Using Miranda as an excuse is too far-fetched. If you said you couldn't let me go and made up an excuse to come back, I might reconsider our relationship."
