CEO's Tears Over Pregnancy Test Discovery

Chapter 680

Wilfred's expression turned serious. "What's going on?"

He thought Nash had gotten the antidote. If Nash could wake up after being poisoned, it meant Seth had given him the antidote. How could he still have symptoms?

"I'm not sure," Nash replied. He thought he would be fine, but a few hours later, his body had a strong reaction. "Maybe Seth didn't give me the real antidote." Seth was a cunning person. It was possible he had a backup plan.

Wilfred helped Nash to a nearby seat, increasing his concerns. "The poison affecting you is different from what Nina has."

Based on Nash's symptoms, Wilfred speculated that the poison's components were different from Nina's.

Nash could not describe his pain, but his body felt obstructed. The poison might not have spread throughout his body, or it might not be a fatal poison.

The symptoms came and went. Nash thought he could endure it but was curious about his fate. "If there's no antidote, what will happen to me?"

Wilfred's serious expression remained. He had seen various poisons, some fatal, some not, but they all caused significant suffering.

Nina's poison was lethal but slow-acting, leading to skin necrosis. It seemed likely that Nash's poison wouldn't kill him, but its long-term effects were unknown. "We'll need to draw some blood," Wilfred said.

"Alright."

Nash followed him inside. Wilfred had a lot of work ahead, studying the lab's leftover substances and identifying Nash's poison.

After drawing blood, Wilfred advised him, "Prepare for the worst, but don't lose hope. I'll find a solution."

Nash had to trust him. Only Wilfred had real experience with the organization and their poisons.

Nash considered Wilfred's advice,

readying himself for the worst. His primare

goal was to ensure Nina's

survival. As long as he lived, there

would be a way.

He patted Wilfred's shoulder. "If something happens to me, please take care of Nina."

Wilfred met Nash's sincere gaze, feeling a great responsibility. However, he still found it hard to believe. He never thought this day would come.

Clearly, he was from the dark side, yet here he was, working alongside someone from the light, achieving such a difficult collaboration. Wilfred's resolve strengthened. After all, he was also someone important to Nina. "I won't let anything happen to either of you," he assured. Nash replied, "You've already done so much for Nina."

"Your poison is different from Nina's. We won't use the same method," Wilfred added.

"That's good."

Nina waited in the lounge for a long time, feeling bored. Remembering everything that had happened and realizing she had not checked on Penelope yet, she decided to call her Material © NôvelDrama.Org.

Penelope was recovering and was happy to get Nina's call. She immediately sat up. "Hey, where are you now? Are you hurt?"

"I'm at the police station. How about you?" Nina asked.

"Just some minor injuries, nothing serious. Hearing that you're safe makes me feel better. After this, no

one will dare to hurt you

Penelope said.

As a public figure, she had never experienced such a thrilling ordeal.

It was more intense than filming a drama.
