Chapter 1095
After hearing Nina's answer, Nash turned to Zoe, visibly surprised. "Why are you wearing Nina's clothes? Did you run out of your own?"
As he spoke, he pulled out a bank card and handed it to her. "Whatever you want to buy, go ahead and buy it. Don't worry about saving money for your nephew." Zoe chuckled, wanting to tease him. "If I spend it all, what will your wife do? She won't have anything left."
Nash smiled, wrapping his arm around Nina. "All my money is with Nina. What I gave you is just my pocket money."
"Is that really true?" Zoe thought to herself. Nash, as the president of a corporation, couldn't possibly have given all his money to Nina, could he?
This wasn't just a regular family's few thousand or ten thousand dollars. It was millions of dollars. But looking at the two of them, they didn't seem to be lying. "If Eugene gave me all his money, I wouldn't dare take it," Zoe mused.
"Are you crazy? Why wouldn't you take it? You should accept it without hesitation. If he doesn't give it to you, that's when there is a problem," Nina responded.
Nina's point made sense, but Nash wasn't actually putting all their money in her name. His personal funds were with Nina, while the company's finances were still under his control.
"Nash, how do you expect other men to live up to this?" Zoe found the whole situation hard to believe.
It was one thing for a couple to be united, but putting all your assets in your partner's hands seemed risky.
"I have no intention of ever divorcing Nina. If I'm not giving everything to her, then who else?" Nash said with a smile, giving Nina a quick kiss. "Right, honey? We're in this for the long haul, making everyone else jealous, aren't we?" Nina nodded, affectionately rubbing her cheek against his chin.
Zoe quickly excused herself from the lovefest. Grabbing her handbag, she hurried out, eager to meet up with Eugene. Being a third wheel here was far less appealing than spending time with him.
As soon as Zoe left, Nash and Nina quickly switched gears, sitting across from each other on the sofa in silence.
"Are you really not going to let Orion participate in the field day?" Nash asked, frowning.
He wasn't happy about it, but since it was his wife's decision, he had to be careful.
Nina nodded seriously, sipping her tea. "No, he's not going. If Orion wants to exercise, I can personally create a training plan for him. He doesn't need the school's activities."
"That's not the point. The goal of the field day isn't to turn the kids into athletes. It's to let them have fun with their classmates. How can I explain this to you?"
"You don't need to explain. I'm not going to let what happened last time happen again," Nina said firmly, ending the conversation as she stood up to head upstairs.
Nash caught up to her and gently grabbed her arm. "You're not confident in yourself, are you? Let me guess. You're afraid of losing to the other parents. That's it, right? You know you won't lose in the sports activities, but in the other competitions, it's a different story." Exclusive © material by Nô(/v)elDrama.Org.
This year's field day wasn't just about parents and kids competing in physical activities. There was also a cooking competition, where each parent had to prepare a dish for
everyone to taste.
It wasn't just about cooking for their own children. It was a showcase where each parent's dish would be judged.
Nina glared at Nash in annoyance. "Are you trying to provoke me?"
"Not at all. I'm just stating the facts. Come on, admit it."
"Fine! We'll participate in the field day," Nina snapped.
Determined to show Nash just how wrong he was to doubt her cooking skills, she already had a plan.
She didn't need the other parents to cook. She could single-handedly prepare all the dishes herself.
