CEO's Tears Over Pregnancy Test Discovery

Chapter 1069

"Call Nash. Tell him to sign over the company and the rest of the family's assets to me, or I'll make sure you disappear without a trace." William gestured for her to look behind her.

Nina didn't turn around, replying coldly, "Nash would never agree to that. You're wasting your time."

"If he refuses, I'll kill you. And then I'll bring your son here. If Nash still doesn't cooperate, well, I won't mind adding another body to the count."

William pulled out a knife, stepping closer to Nina. He grabbed her chin and slapped her face lightly with the flat of the blade. "You better convince him to do as I say, or else..."

The cold metal of the knife against her skin made Nina narrow her eyes. William had lost all sense of humanity in his pursuit of wealth. If he remained alive, they would never find peace.

A thought crossed Nina's mind, and she let out a soft laugh. "Fine, I'll convince Nash. But you'll have to give me my phone, right? How else am I supposed to call him?"

Relying on his advantage in numbers and control of the only way down the mountain, William agreed to Nina's request. He ordered his men to untie her and hand her the phone. Once free, Nina flexed her stiff wrists and pretended to dial Nash's number. "Nash, I'm at the top of the old graveyard hill. Come quickly..."

"Stupid woman! You're trying to trick me!"

William lunged to grab the phone, but Nina wrapped her arms around him and leaped off the cliff.

"Ah! Are you crazy?!"

William's scream echoed through the air as they fell. Fabian's men rushed to the edge of the cliff, but by then, both Nina and William had disappeared.

Nina survived the fall. She couldn't take on all of William's men, but handling William alone was a different story.

After his terrified outburst, she let go of him, sending him plunging down the mountain. She, on the other hand, clung to a rocky ledge and slowly made her way down. When Nash arrived after receiving the news, he found Nina standing beside William's lifeless body.

"It's over," Nash pulled her into a tight embrace, offering quiet comfort as he signaled his men and the police to handle the situation.

Since William's kidnapping of Nina had been caught on surveillance, and with Fabian flipping sides to testify against him, the police cleared Nina of any wrongdoing. Not long after, Valentine's Day arrived.

mom, and Orion was starting to feel like a latchkey kid.

On Valentine's Day morning, Nina hoped Nash would surprise her with something special. But he left after a quick breakfast. He didn't come home for lunch, and by the time Orion was back from school, there was still no sign of him.

With a sigh, Nina figured Nash had forgotten about Valentine's Day.

Then the doorbell rang. It was Zoe.

Zoe looked serious as she sighed, "Nina, I might need your help with something. I just don't want to interfere with your plans with Nash."

"We don't have any plans today, Aunt Zoe. What do you need? I'm happy to help."

Zoe hesitated for a moment before handing Nina a gift bag. "Well, could you put this on and meet someone for me? Just help me make sure he gives up on me." Nina glanced at the gift bag in her hand. It was a limited edition, high-end outfit, and she was about to refuse.

But Zoe quickly added, "Oh, come

on! If you don't help me, no one will. Don't worry, I'll explain everything to Nash. Plus, I'll take care of Orion for you, so you don't need to worry."

With that, Zoe thrust the bag into Nina's hands and scooped up Orion, heading into the house.

Seeing no other choice, Nina reluctantly changed into the outfit and set off to the location Zoe had sent her.
