CEO’s Seduction Trap

Chapter 11 Your Room Or Mine?

Exiting the conference room, Leila took the elevator back up to the hotel room.

Her assistant followed closely, murmuring in a low voice, “Nothing’s settled yet, and they’re sending us on a business trip?”

With no one else in the elevator, Leila kept her gaze straight ahead, pretending not to hear.

Seeing Leila’s silence, her assistant pursed her lips and remained quiet.

Arriving at the door of her room, Leila was about to unlock it when she heard a very low chuckle behind her. “Do you like me? Too bad, I don’t like women.”Content is property of NôvelDrama.Org.

Leila turned around at the sound. Mason stood by the floor-to-ceiling window in the corridor, hands in his pockets. Catching her glance, he narrowed his eyes, his expression both teasing and meaningful.

The assistant had clearly heard Mason’s phone call and was now blushing and peeking nervously in his direction.

Leila glanced at her assistant, then lowered her head to enter the security code. “Book your flight back to Neo City later.”

Her assistant hesitated for a moment, looking incredulous. “Miss Patel…”

Ignoring her, Leila opened the door and stepped inside. In the workplace, someone who couldn’t control their emotions, mouth, or eyes was a big no-no. This assistant of hers was all of that.

The assistant watched Leila enter the door and stood still for a moment without reacting.

Half an hour later, she received a transfer notice from the personnel department.

The assistant looked at the transfer notice on her mobile phone, she wanted to find Leila to argue, but did not dare, and finally angrily slammed the door and left with her own suitcase.

Inside her room, Leila pretended not to hear the commotion outside and focused on reviewing the project on her tablet.

It was indeed a promising project, targeting wealthy clients in the villa area. Located at the border between East City and Neo City, it was prime real estate for the affluent.

However, judging from the meeting just now, Ascend Group seemed to have rushed things a bit, and their proposed plan was subpar.

But in this line of work, such situations weren’t uncommon. Projects finalized in haste to impress potential investors often resulted in rushed planning and lower quality.

Leila quickly went through the project and roughly calculated Nova Group’s potential earnings. It was no wonder Mr. Lee was so pleased that day. Once this project was completed, their performance for the year would meet the standards.

Her phone buzzed. Mason’s message popped up: [You said you’d invite me out for dinner sometime.]

Leila froze, reluctant to respond.

After a while, another message from Mason came through: [Does raping a man count as rape?]

Leila’s fingers, curled around her phone, stiffened.

Staring at Mason’s two messages, Leila pondered for five minutes before replying: [It’s crowded here. I’m worried about your reputation. If you don’t mind, shall I order takeout?]

Mason; [ “Your room or mine?]

Leila: [What would you like to eat? I’ll order it for you separately.]

Leila sent the message and waited for Mason’s reply, but there was no immediate response.

After a while, Mason replied: [Leila, did you really think I wanted to have dinner with you? Do you think I need this meal from you?]

In the adjacent room, Mason burst into laughter upon seeing Leila’s message.

After a pause, Mason stood up and dialed Leila’s number directly.

The phone rang, and Leila frowned as she answered, “Mr. Ramirez.”

Mason has a deep and smiling voice. “Leila, I’m curious about something and I need you to help me understand.”

Leila leaned back on the sofa. “Go ahead.”

Mason asked, “Are you and Hunter really dating?”

Leila fell silent, instinctively not wanting Mason to know the truth.

As adults, Leila wasn’t naive. Given their sexual history and Mason’s occasional contact, his intentions were obvious.

After Mason finished speaking and didn’t hear a response from Leila, he chuckled, “I see.”

Leila pursed her lips, feeling inexplicably annoyed at Mason’s laughter.

There was a long silence on the phone.

About a minute later, Mason tapped the ashtray and said, “Leila, spend a night with me, and we’ll call it even. What do you say?”

Mason’s change of topic caught Leila off guard for a moment.

Seven or eight seconds later, Leila tightened her grip on the phone and asked, “Mr. Ramirez, do you mean what you say?”

“Leila, I’m not about to cling onto a woman, especially one who doesn’t want anything to do with me.”
