CEO’s Paid Bride

Chapter Two

Brianna’s POV.

I walked along the very muddy street. In Fact I tiptoed because it was really muddy. I wonder why this particular place always has problems, even after it was fixed, I didn’t want my shoe getting soiled.

Just then this very fancy black car drove past me splashing me with the disgusting muddy water.

Immediately the driver noticed he stopped but after some seconds he drove off.

Like wtf. He splashed me with this muddy water and he couldn’t apologize.

I became so angry.

Cleaning my eyes properly, I picked a rock that stood at the side of the road and threw it at the car. Which cost the windshield to break.

I gasped in fear and ran away.

I fuçking ran for my life when I hit the car.

My life is going to be over if the owner gets me.

I turned and noticed that no one was following me, maybe they knew they were at the wrong. I smiled.

Since I was dirty, I had to go back to the house to get changed.

Diego’s POV

I’ll surely get her for destroying my car, that’s a promise.

My car arrived at grandma’s huge estate. I immediately got down from the car.

“Sir what should we do about the car?”My manager asked as I looked at my brand new car worth millions that just got damaged.

“Just pack it. I’ll tell you what to do”

When I entered the mansion, it had this welcoming atmosphere.

The entire environment was at peace giving me this homely feeling. I smiled as I walked in and was graced with the smell of my favorite food.

“Diego!”Grandma called in her very Italic accent.

“Grandma. How have you been all this while?”I asked pulling her into a very warm hug.

Her hug was warm and I felt so at peace in her hand. It felt like I was wrapped in a thick sheet that covered me from all danger.

“I have been very good and I still am.”she rolled as her cheek turned red.

It was obvious that she missed me and was happy to see me.

Even if grandma is old she’s still very pretty. Her always big smile had made her face wrinkle but I still love her.

“How are you son?”

“Am fine,”I answered, withdrawing from the hug.

Grandma stretched her head out. She turned like she was in search of something.

“Where is she?” She asked.

“Who are you looking for?”

“Your, Your girlfriend.”she stuttered, shaking her head.

No no no this old woman. No, she didn’t call me here to ask about my girlfriend.

Grandma has been bugging me to get married since the past few years now but fuck, I ain’t ready and I don’t think I do marriages, I only fuçk the hell out of girls.

“Grandma, there’s no girlfriend. Just me” I answered and she let go of my hand instantly.

“You promised me you’d bring her home last year”she yelled at me..

“Granny. I just haven’t seen the right lady”I tried touching her shoulders but she moved.

“Granny, I am extremely tired after I get some rest we can talk about this okay”

“Yasmin!”Grandma called.

“Yes granny!”her tiny voice answered from the far away kitchen.

“Yasmin!”I called in shock as she walked towards us.

Yasmin has turned into a fine young lady. She was just a small child when I left for italy.

“Diego!”she called in surprise.

“Oh my goodness Diego. When did you arrive?”she asked, pulling me into a brief hug.

“Yasmin don’t talk to him.”Grandma yells, making us pull away in shock.

“Granny what happened?” She asked.

“Take me to my room Yasmin. I don’t want to talk to him”

I sighed giving grandma an eye roll which she returned with a scornful glare.

Yasmin is my cousin, she’s been staying with grandma since she was about seven or so. But now she looks so matured. I wonder how old she is now.

“Adele!”Yasmin called. Immediately a maid came running.

“Take cousin’s things to his room”

“Yes Miss”

“Adele. You heard him, serve him. I’ll be back soon”

I watched Yasmin take grandma to her room. Grandma kept looking at me like I’ve sinned or something.

“Adele, don’t give him food. There’s no food for the wicked.” She rasped realising a grunt before moving towards the stairs with Yasmin following suit.

Yasmin’s POV

I had already prepaid dinner for the family. Since my cousin was here, dinner had to be extra special.

We sat on our very big dinner table eating in silence.

“Umh cousin since your here they’ll be no need to talk over the phone”

“Yeah!”

“Well I’ll be getting married in two months’ time”I smiled. The fact I’ll be marrying theam of my dreams still give me shock.

“Married? Wait, you’re getting married, how old are you?”he asked in disbelief.

I chuckled, realising a smile. “Am twenty three”

“I thought you were nineteen”

“Common Cousin am twenty three”

I turned and noticed the way Granny glared at Diego. If looks could kill, he would have been dead by now.

“Yasmin, I have a beautiful gift for you.” Grandma spoke, realising a smile.

She dropped her fork then sent a very hard glare to Diego.

“I’ll be handing over the De Lucas property to you.”

“What are you saying granny? De Lucas belongs to me”Diego frowned.

“Granny, you don’t need to do that. My fiance are financially stable. Even if we don’t work for years, we’ll still have enough”

“Shut up girl !”She fired.

“Granny, I own De Lucas, you can’t just give it to Yasmin”

“And even if you do give it to me Granny, I won’t take it”.

“Then I’ll give it to the government. Cause it’s the same thing that’ll happen in a few years time if I give it to Diego, since he doesn’t want to have a family to pass it on to, it will go to the government when he dies, so why not quicken the process. Let’s give it now”

“Granny stop pulling my legs”Diego sighed out facing his food.

“Am not pulling your legs Diego. My lawyer will be here tomorrow”She said, dropping her fork on the table.

“Diego what did you do to her, I have never seen her this angry. Please know it’s not good for her health”I explained taking a stand from my chair, immediately following granny.
