Brianna’s POV

Work hour was finally over and I felt a little bit exhausted. I picked my bag and walked down to the car pack. I had told Jason to wait for me at the parking lot, I didn’t want people starring like I’m a big shot.

“Ma’am! We are home” Jason’s voice woke me up.

I yawned and got down the car.

The moment I got into the house, I went straight to our bedroom, so I could get changed and rest while I wait for Diego to arrive so we could have dinner together.

I had my bath, got changed and laid on the bed. It’s a shame that I missed the party, I hope Diego let’s me go for the next one.

Folding myself under the duvet I closed my eyes to sleep. Seems I’m pretty much tired .

A soft tap on my shoulder woke me up, “hmm!” I muttered starring up at his huge body.

“You haven’t had dinner?” He questioned and I rubbed my eyes, slowly taking a sit on the bed.

“I was waiting for you to arrive so I could speak to you about something, but I guess you arrived late”

“Anna, you shouldn’t have waited, you know I have a lot to do” he gave me this worried look yet he had a frown on.

“I’m sorry.. I just wanted to have a talk with you before I head to bed” I explained.

“Let’s go down and eat.”

“Okay!” I sprang up the bed and followed him to the dinning.

The moment I took a sit, he dished a portion of food and served me and I began eating, I didn’t have the strength to speak again, I just want to go back to sleep.

“You said you wanted to speak with me? What about?” He asked as I gulped down the food.

I stared at him, then at my food, “I don’t know if I’m sure about this, but I feel something isn’t right with out finance department” I spilled the beans.

“How do you mean?” He’s whole attention was on me as I ate. Like he was watching me eat.

“Well, the way the total amount and figures changed in splitting seconds while we were in the meeting today, with the head of finance was confusing to me, I’m not really comfortable with it”

“What are you trying to say Anna stop speaking in riddles”

“Well, I feel your being cheated.. I don’t know okay! I’m just suspecting it” I rolled my eyes and went back to eating my food.

Diego’s POV.

Anna! How could she say such, I’m sure she’s not right about that. It’s really nothing to think of.

I watched her eat every single food on her plate as I ate mine too, she was too silent for my liking.

Just as she stood and was about leaving the dinning room. I spoke out. “What’s the matter Brianna?” I know what the silent and creepy look means, she wants something from me.

“Nothing! Why would you say something is wrong? I’m fine. Stop asking” she blabbed.

“You little liar! What’s the matter? I promise I won’t get mad”

“Well. I was thinking..

It’s nothing” she pressed her lips closed.

“It’s something tell me about it common”

“Okay fine! I would love to go for the next party my team members holds!” She rushed her words starring keenly at me.

I kept shut for some seconds thinking about it. I’m sure my silence was killing her.

“Dee!” She drawled pouting.

“Don’t drink, come back early and your good to go” I finally let the words out of my mouth.

“Really!!!” She stood to her feet and screamed.

“Yes! But on one condition” I added the moment something came into my head.

“What’s that?”

” I’ll be taking you out tommorow. We’re eating out”

“What’s the occasion?” He asked and I gave her a little smile.

“To celebrate my unborn child”

“Oh! I’ll be in our room then”

“Good night, I have something to work on”

” Good night” she brushed hair backwards and walked passed me

The next morning, I could feel this warmness on my lips , it was warm. It was Anna kissing my lips. I kissed her back instantly and pulled her down the bed, making her go underneath me.

“Good morning.” She had this huge smile which made me so happy.

“It’s time for work silly. And get off me, your weight is pressing against my tummy”

“Oh! Sorry” I instantly pulled myself up.

“What time is our date today?” She asked with this very soft voice and I wonder why. She’s acting all sweet and naive

She sat up right on the bed and starred deep into my eyes then gave me this sweet smile.

Seconds after the smile a blush creeped up her face.

“You look happy today!”I smiled at her and began walking towards the bathroom.

Her voice and words caught me off guard” Happy birthday Diego!” Her voice came low and really sweet and it sent this sensation down my spine.

“You know?”

“Uhm! Granny told me about it yesterday. And I’m sorry cause I don’t have a gift for you. You didn’t even bother to tell me”

“It’s of no big deal Anna, get ready for breakfast, I’ll go have my bath”

“What do you mean it’s of no big deal.?. Its your day you have to celebrate it”

“No I don’t! I have meetings to attend to before our dinner today”

“You have to Diego, You have to”

“No! Stop prying into my personal life Anna, I never celebrate my birthday’s it has always been like that”

“Dee!”he voice came.

“Stop it Anna!”

“Then why are we having dinner out?”

“Because of my unborn child, it’s two months today”I fired, with my back still turned against her.

“This once Dee, let me make it special please. Please even if it’s just a wish” she said with her hand on my shoulders. She began caressing my back and bare chest.

“Even if I make a wish you can’t grant it?”

“I’ll try? Just make one”

“I want Tara!” I spoke and with that I walked straight into the bathroom.
