Caught Between The twin CEO

Sydney decided to go back to her office. On getting there, she meets Paxton. She didn’t expect to see him there so she was taken aback. “Have you and Jaxton broken up?” he asked her.

“No, we are still together” she managed to say to him. She knew he wanted her and jaxton to break up but she couldn’t handle the way he looked when she told him she wanted to break up.

“When will you break up?” Paxton asked her. He expected that they would have broke up since she promised him but he understood that she might need more time.

“Soon,” Sydney replied him.

“Okay, good” Paxton said and went back to his office. He was relieved that she said soon, hr thought she might ask for more time but he hoped she breaks up with him quick.

Sydney started at Paxton’s back as he was going, his figure was slowly fading away as she watched him. She felt bad for him. Moreover, she had already promised him, what would he do when he finds out that she lied to him. She didn’t know if she could actually do this, she was torn between two options.

Either she breaks up with jaxton and breaks his heart to please Paxton or she stays with jaxton amd betrays her promise to Paxton. What would she do?

Her phone rings and it was jaxton. “Hey babe, I’m outside” he says over the phone and she replied him saying she was coming out. It was time fir their date, she took a deep breath before going outside the building.

She got into his car and they began their drive. She didn’t know where he was taking her to since he did not tell her. He asked about her well being which she replied was fine. She did the same and he replied her.

The car ride fell into a comfortable silence and the only sound that could be heard was the soft music playing from the radio. Sydney on the other hand was thinking about her dilemma. She was s turmoil inside and was stressed but it wasn’t evident on her face.

He stopped the car in front of a classy restaurant. Sydney decided to stop thinking about her current situation abd just focus on their date. Jaxton took her in and they sat down in the restaurant, he had already booked a reservation for the two of them so they proceeded to place an order for their food.

“How is the food?” Jaxton asked her

“It’s really nice and this restaurant itself is quite nice too, wonderful service” Sydney replied him.

“I’m glad you like it, only the best for you babe” he replied sweetly.

They engaged in other short conversations while having their dinner.

They had a wonderful dinner at the restaurant which Sydney enjoyed. She felt she had a nice time with jaxton. She thought that was the end of the night but jaxton had other plans.

He takes her out for ice cream. Jaxton was sweet, he got her favorite ice cream flavor. She thought that jaxton wasn’t that bad, he was a gentleman and knew how to plan dates.

Their date ended and it was time for them to go back. Sydney tells jaxton that she is going back to the office to pick up some things.

“Oh okay, no problem” he said and drove to her workplace.

“You’re welcome, I had a wonderful time with you too” jaxton said back to her and Sydney smiled at him.

“I’ll be going now, thanks for the ride and don’t bother waiting, I’ll go home myself” Sydney tells him.

“Oh but I can wait, it’s no big deal”

“No, go, you have done enough tofay I’ll go home on my own” Sydney insisted and jaxton agreed.

She left the car before anything could happen. They said their goodbyes and departed. She went into the building to her office.

She had enjoyed her time with jaxton this evening. And the dates were nice especially the ice cream.

She went into her office and sat down on the chair. But when she looked to her side she saw Paxton there sitting on the chair next to her. Oh no!

He must have seen jaxton dropping her off tonight. He had found out that she had lied and deceived him. She knew this was the moment that he would confront her so she accepted it and didn’t talk. The office was silence before Paxton stood up from the chair, he looked angry.

“You asshole, I gave you one job” he said aggressively and lifted his finger.

“Just one job to break up with him and you agreed. You said soon but now I see you with him smiling after he dropped you off!!” He shouted.

Sydney jolted and flinched. She stood up from her chair and slowly walked away from Paxton.

“I knew you had a hidden motive and now you had accomplished it!!” He said furiously and clapped his hands.

He was walking closer to her and Sydney was in the middle of the room. “You are just a plain gold diggers and a whore” Paxton spat at her and that was the last straw for Sydney.

How dare he?!’ She thought to herself.

She was triggered by what he said and out of anger she raised her hand and left a tight and hard smack on his face.

Realizing what she did she looked at Paxton which was using his hand to touch the cheek that she just slapped.

He looked at her with a surprised and furious face. He was shocked and speechless.

Sydney had no regrets for slapping him. She saw looked at his shocked face again and angrily left the office.
