Chapter 51

A deadly present

Though it was just like every other morning. But to her it wasn’t, it was special, sweet and loving, dawn in the air. The feelings she was feeling, she had never felt this way before, it was gonna last. She hopes.

Unlike the other morning she noticed again. She woke up with a smile on her face.

It was another day, and this day wasn’t just like the other meaningless day, someone her heart beats for is beside her on the bed, watching and staring at her, with his head on his elbow. This man, with the dark sexy eyes. Studying her face.

She blushed. And looked away from him. Covering her self properly with the duvet, because underneath she was bare. Tired and sore. While he did mean it when he said he wanted her sore.

“Why are you staring at me like that.”

“Because you look so pretty this morning, I couldn’t help but stare.”

Her cheeks went flushed with excitement. He lips her chin up. And smiled.

She said it, there was something wrong about this morning, it was different and same with the man right here, did she just noticed, Kenzo has changed, he was no longer harsh as he was, his gaze had soften. He smiles now. He laughs.

He chat with the guards. The tension in the mansion has lessen.

He had killed anyone guard.

This was the change she was talking about. And it was happening.

She thought he was gonna kiss her, but he kissed her forehead. Slowly and passionately. Then pulled away and claimed her lips in his, in a warm embrace.

“Good morning Master! Ezra is here!” Buka announced by the door.

“Take him to the study.”

“Yes Master.”

He turned to Elina.

“You should get off me, you’ve training with Aziel. He’s already waiting for you. And I’ve business to attend to.”

Her hands were still wrapped around him and her head on his chest.

“Just a little more, just a little more time. Please.”

He couldn’t resist her when she stare at him with those cute beautiful eyes of hers. He sighed and pulled her closer to him. With his hands on her butt. Squeezing them gently.

“And why is it Aziel and not Sambas.”

“Sambas had to do something, urgent, he left very early in the morning. You prefer Sambas now?”

“I think I’m more at easy with him.”

“Aziel scares you?”

“Sometimes he does.”

They chuckled.

He stroke her hair.

“See how fast you’ve grown.”

“I still doubt it’s me, when I look in the mirror. I was just so different. If I was like this in high school, I’m sure I would have a tons of guys at my feet.”

“And Ray too.”

She lift her head up to look at him. His gaze was elsewhere with a annoyed look.

“I can sense jealous in there.”

“Me, jealous, no, I can’t be jealous. I’m not jealous at all.”

“You shouldn’t be jealous of Ray.”

“What if I tell you I’m.”

His eyes shows hurt. She felt it too.

“I didn’t met you sooner, I wasn’t in most of your memories. And we don’t have enough time to create those even if we wanted to.”

He pulled her hands off him and stood up from the bed. Slipping his shorts on.

Before she could open her mouth and say another one, Buka’s voice came right up.

“Master, you’ve got a present.”

“Who sent it?”

“There’s a card and the sender didn’t put a name. Just a letter S.” He said.

Elina watched his reaction. He stood, without moving, every emotions devoid off his face.

Then he gritted his teeth.

“Bastard!”

Taking a shirt by the rack. He hurried out of the room. Elina sighed.

She show probably get dressed. And meet Aziel at the field.

“There’s the present..” He took it from Buka’s hands, going towards the study room. His feet was moving so fast. He had a bad feeling about this. A very bad one. He had to be sure what it is, if what he’s feeling is wrong. He had never had a wrong feeling before.

He opened the door, and Ezra stood up immediately from the seat he was sitting on, with his head a down a little. He has completely forgotten he was there.

He sat down, dropping the box on the table.

Ezra remains standing.

“I-I-l..”

“Shut up and seat.”

He sat down. Facing him.

“There’s a letter attached to the box.” He pulled it off, giving it to Kenzo.

“Read it out.” He instructed.

Ezra nodded and began reading.

“It goes like this.”

“Dear Kenzo Jamal Brennon.

Surprisingly, how I was able to figure out your middle name. It was quite difficult. But I got it anyway. I received your present and I decided to send you one to let you know, I’m still in the game.

There’s a party tonight, and you’re my special guest of honor. Your name is there already, sorry it came late. Everyone is gonna be there….”

“What kind of a short notice is that.”

“Shut up and continue..”

“Once you open the present I got, you would come, to come meet me and I’ll be waiting for you at the party. Ha- ha. I heard you have a lot of pretty ladies. Bring them.

See you there.

That’s it, that’s what’s written in there.” Ezra watched him staring down at the box.All content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.

Kenzo opened the box. He turned his face away to the side. Ezra went ahead and peeped into the box to see what was in there.

He screamed and fell back, hitting his head on the ground.

It was a head, a head of someone In the mansion.

It can’t be, they had his head chopped off, why, who was this man, Hazard wouldn’t dare to do it. Though he would beat Kenzo’s men to a pulp but he wouldn’t kill them.

Whoever did this was someone who wasn’t scared of Kenzo, he was someone out of their league.

Someone, already deep in this shit!

“We’re going to the damn party!” His voice was hard and mostly like the beast Kenzo he was.

She shot at the bottles, breaking everyone of it on spot. She was angry, but doesn’t know why, she thought it was someone she was aiming at right now, someone like Hazard and Sara. Right in their skull.

“Wow! You did well.”

“I know right!” She dropped the gun on the table.

“But I noticed something, you seems pissed. Are you annoyed at something.”

“I don’t know why I’m feeling that way. I’ve got this damn something on my guts.”She replied. Chugging down the bottle of water.

Aziel exhaled and sat down on the table.

“Is something going on?”

“I’ll be a big fool if I don’t tell you something bad is gonna happen. You’ve to prepare for anything.”

She nods.

“I’ve noticed. Is it because of the election. Because what I’ve gotten, once you’re seated on that seat you literally ruled every mafia in the city. Definitely you’ve to be in a lot of fight. That’s why he asked that I got trained. Just in case I got used as a bait, I’ll be able to fight my way out.”

“You know, I know you were smart, when I first saw you. I felt the something. I don’t know what it was then. But it’s was special, never felt like that about anyone, but when I saw, I felt it. I had to find out, why I felt that way towards you.”

“You were really good to me. Like I was your little sister. You got that hurt gaze on, whenever I was hurt. You have to look for a way to get me out of the dungeon. I wanted to know why you treated me that way too.”

“You’re, my little sister. I never wanted to say it but I had to let you know about it.”

“Aziel, Aziel!”

They snapped their head around. Seeing Sambas running towards them.

“There’s fire on the mountain. Ben is dead!”

Aziel twirled his head towards Elina.

“He has drawn the curtains. Be careful now, Elina.”

He run off with Sambas, without giving her a space to think.

Ben was dead.

Who killed him?

Hazard?

Who could it be if not Hazard? The election was fast approaching. It was this month, she couldn’t say it was someone else except because who did this had to be someone who knew and watched them. Who knew how much Ben is worth in the mansion.

It was no other than Hazard and his accomplices.
