Chapter 9 Refusing to Apologize
His voice became louder and harsher, echoing in the huge living room.
The servants were frightened and cautiously looked over.
Blanche narrowed her eyes and coldly looked at him. He had lost his temper and blamed her as soon as seeing Cathy's fake cry without knowing the truth, so she thought he was like a mad dog.
Seeing her glare back, Louis felt more furious. He had seen with his eyes that she had stepped on Cathy's foot on purpose. But she had refused to apologize. What an unreasonable woman!
If the media found out about Blanche's existence, it would cause a lot of trouble and disgrace the Herbart family. The Herbart family was famous and noble, but Louis had married the ugliest woman in Cloud City. She was a skeleton in the cabinet!
Moreover, he had suffered from insomnia for a long time but had slept very well with no dreams last night because of her smell left in the bed. He had even woken up half an hour later than usual. He had not slept so well for at least five years. This strange change made him uncomfortable. He faintly had a bad feeling that something was getting out of control.
"Forget it, Louis. Pleases don't scold Miss Kent. I'm much better now."
When Cathy persuaded him in a sobbing voice, Louis thought she sounded like a noisy sparrow. But he simply vented all his anger on Blanche.
"I'm warning you one last time. Apologize! I'll count to three. If you don't do it, you will bear the consequences."
Louis was tall and imposing, giving off an innate sense of oppression.
Blanche bit her red lips and clenched her fists, cursing the jerk in her heart. Although she had stepped on Cathy's foot, she would never apologize.
Cathy suppressed the joy in her heart. She knew that the ugly woman had no status in the Herbart family and that Louis would not help her.
After a few seconds of silence, Blanche seemed to succumb to the coercion. She slightly lowered her head and made a gesture of apologizing.
Louis's black eyes flashed with satisfaction. Although she was stubborn, it was good that she was willing to apologize.
To everyone's surprise, Blanche abruptly raised her head and blurted, "I will never f*cking apologize!"
After finishing speaking, she ran upstairs because she was no longer in the mood to visit the garden.
Everyone present was petrified. Blanche's words were too rude and disrespectful. The members of the Herbart family were well-educated, so they could not accept any filthy words.
A few seconds later, Louis fiercely roared with a gloomy face, "Lock her in my bedroom! Don't give her food without my permission!"
When Tammy returned to her senses, she almost had a heart attack.
"This wicked girl is not only ugly but also rude. How can she be the daughter-in-law of the Herbart family?"
Cathy was stunned to hear Blanche say bad language. Moreover, she had cursed Louis who was incomparably noble.
Cathy limped to his side and softly said, "Louis, she's too uneducated."
Louis ignored her, turned around, and said, "It's time for breakfast."
There were many delicious dishes on the gorgeous dining table, but the atmosphere was depressing. Even the servants were more careful than usual when serving the dishes.
Cathy wanted to speak but swallowed the words on the tip of her tongue after seeing Louis's cold face.
Tammy lost her appetite after a few bites, so she decided to go out to have coffee with her friends. Before leaving, she said, "One more day Blanche stays in the Herbart family for, one more day my life will be reduced. Louis, find a way to kick that wicked girl out!"
Hearing this, Louis took a sip of milk with a sullen face, while Cathy felt overjoyed.
When putting down the milk with a bang, Louis put forth too much strength because of anger and caused a drop of milk to stain his blue tie. Seeing this, he frowned.
Cathy picked up a tissue. When she was about to help him wipe it off, he stood up and went upstairs. Since it was dirty, he would replace it. All text © NôvelD(r)a'ma.Org.
Blanche had waited upstairs for a long time, but no one brought her food. So, she touched her empty stomach. After searching around the bedroom, she found only a box of chrysanthemum tea. She sighed, thinking she would starve today.
Taking out a small bag of chrysanthemum tea, she began to make tea. She had learned how to make tea before, and her skills were first-class. Soon, a cup of fragrant chrysanthemum tea was ready.
She picked it up, lightly closed her eyes, and told herself she was not hungry.
"I'm not hungry. It's delicious."
When Louis opened the door, he happened to see this scene. So, he clenched his fists, wondering what kind of woman she was.
