Chapter 5 Am I Right

"Louis, Blanche is vicious. You should be careful. Since she drugged her family to marry you, she will play more tricks in the future."

The coquettish voice gave Blanche goosebumps all over her body. After listening for a while, she found Louis had never responded.

"Louis, look at this purple bag! Doesn't it match me well?"

Bag?

Blanche pursed her lips, knowing Cathy wanted Louis to buy her a bag. She put the water glass on the glass table next to her, raised her hand to knock on the door, and walked in.

Louis was reading a document with his head down at the desk. And Cathy was holding a fashion magazine beside him.

When Cathy turned her head and saw Blanche, her face instantly became gloomy.

"Who let you in? Ugly and vicious woman, get out!"

Hearing this, Louis raised his gaze and coldly sized Blanche up, thinking she was indeed bold. She had tricked him into marrying her but still dared to come to his study.

He snapped, "Get out."

He had no reason to be polite to an evil woman.

Blanche pretended not to hear, looked around the study, and walked over, saying, "Sorry! I feel a bit thirsty, so I am looking for water. I thought this is the kitchen."

"Are you blind? This is Louis's study! How can it be the kitchen?" Cathy sarcastically asked.

When Blanche turned around and squeezed herself between Louis and Cathy, he immediately smelled a fragrance. Although Blanche was ugly, she smelled refreshing. It was much better than Cathy's pungent perfume.

"How dare you push me aside, ugly woman!" Cathy yelled.

Blanche folded her arms over her chest, sized up her clothes, and tutted, "You're still too inexperienced. If you want to seduce a man in the middle of the night, your skirt has to be at least this short."

While speaking, she brushed her hand across her crotch.

"You should have worn a pair of black silk stockings and squeezed your breasts more. If so, all men will be turned on and pounce on you like hungry wolves. Honey, you are a man. Tell her whether I am right?"

Blanche blinked her big eyes, looking innocent.

Louis was speechless, thinking she was courting death. Did she mean he was also a hungry wolf?

Cathy blushed, pointed at Blanche with a slender finger, and stamped her foot, saying, "You're talking nonsense. Louis, she's going too far."

Blanche snatched the magazine from her and quickly flipped through it.

"Honey, are you going to buy a bag for Miss Bird? I happen to like this brand too. I want this pink crocodile leather bag. You are rich. Could you please buy it for me too?"

Throwing the magazine on the table, she walked outward. Suddenly, she looked back and sweetly smiled at the two stunned people, saying, "Honey, don't buy me the wrong one. What I want is the pink crocodile leather bag which costs 300,000 dollars. Miss Bird's purple bag costs 150,000 dollars. Otherwise, you would be disgraced when I appear on the same occasion as Miss Bird. Mrs. Herbart's bag should not be outshone, right?"

After finishing speaking, she quickly walked out while the two were still in a daze. Although she had no feelings for Louis, she must build up the prestige of Mrs. Herbart for herself in the Herbart family. Such a wealthy family was complicated inside. And she did not want others to bully her.

Seeing Blanche's beautiful figure disappear at the door, Cathy felt as if a cat had scratched her chest, thinking she was giving her a blow on purpose. What was even more frightening was that she found Louis staring in the direction where Blanche had left with a frown. She did not know what he was thinking, so she clenched her fists and softened her voice when saying, "Louis, she is too uneducated. She asked you to buy her a bag as soon as marrying you. She is a gold digger."

Gold digger? Louis thought she was talking about herself.

"It's getting late. You should go home."

He glanced at her, turned the page, and continued to read the document. © 2024 Nôv/el/Dram/a.Org.

Cathy's face instantly turned pale because he had coldly looked at her just now. She glanced outside and said, "Can you send me back? It's too dark. I don't dare to go back alone."

Louis said without looking up, "I still have work to do. Let Jack send you back."

A strong unwillingness surged in Cathy's chest, but she couldn't vent it out in front of him.

Louis had treated her well because of what had happened five years ago. But he just regarded her as a younger sister. However, she would not admit defeat because only she deserved the title of

Mrs. Herbart.

"OK, I'm leaving. Don't work too late."
